Review Prospect Charcoal Chicken - Launceston

My partner just came home with a large chips for the family that were soggy and tasted like dirty old oil. We have had chips here many times and love them. What I didn’t love tonight was the customer service when we called to complain as even the kids didn’t like them and said they tasted weird. We were told we could come back for a refund but there was nothing else they could do about it so we have had to try and find something else to go with our tea tonight. What we wanted was new chips cooked in clean oil. As a regular customer I will probably now avoid going back

On Thursday the 28th of April I entered this precinct with intent to purchase the finest of chimpken burgers with bulk chips with chicken salt. However when I walked in I was greeted by a woeful wench named Claudia afganini who conducted foul atrocities regarding carrots and TikTok’s. I hope that in the foreseeable future there is no Claudia panini working for this business. She single handedly is leaving a pungent odour that is a stain on society. Every time I walk in the derelict building I smell skanks.

Waited a good 10 minutes for a small chips with gravy, 3 customers ordered and received their orders before me, meanwhile there were 6 visible staff in the shop whom were not doing a whole lot if it must be said. I Didn't receive any gravy, but the chips were good.

Not as good as Devonports store. Quality control could do with a bit of work.

The girls in the shop are brilliant. Tonight they divided up the kids meal into two containers so my two small humans wouldn't argue over the food. I am very appreciative. The shop is almost always clean, tidy and clear of rubbish. Food is always exceptional and the gravy is the best chip gravy in Launceston.

Whoever runs this shop has NAILED it. Nice, cheap comfort food. There's always adequate staff to make sure people get their food quick, and they stay put til closing time. If you rock up 15 min before closing time, they're still standing there patiently, not trying to get out the door. Oh, and the chips are always done perfectly.

A personal favourite of mine for fast food, Charcoal Chicken has quite possibly the best chips I've found in any store. The chickens are also great, of course. The gravy tops it all off. I've gone here many times and the service is always fast and polite. I could easily recommend this place to anyone.
