Review Ding Sing - Launceston

Probably the best Chinese restaurant in Launceston. That statement is a very big deal for this town as it is unfortunately rare to find a good Asian restaurant this side of Tasmania. Definitely quite pricey, but with discounts and combos, you can't really complain for the quality and service.

Incredible food, amazing menu with pictures. Would recommend to anyone. Came at 2pm and it wasn’t busy and they still were so efficient (they didn’t forget us in the corner), the food was so fast & delicious

Come here if you want be treated rudely by the manager/owner and have some reheated frozen dim sum. I agree with the other comments, definitely felt discriminated against as Chinese non-locals while he was treating other customers differently.

Fresh...we order dumplings and duck mince on lettuce then fried rice and roast duck for main. Being a restaurant owner myself i can say the food was fresh and cooked with love. Service was amazing too. Damn good job you guys.

I had some takeaway chicken soup from here recently which was wonderful, so I came back to eat in. Fantastic service, comfortable furniture, pleasantly soothing background music and DELICIOUS, very fresh food. My soup (pictured) was even served in an elegant footed bowl! I've been back several times now, and they are happy to omit ingredients if you ask them.

4.5 stars. Recommend to all. The only reason they didnt get 5 stars because we ordered dessert and never arrived. Awesome food great staff.

We had a party for my mother-in-law. She was 90. Sam the boss, looked after everyone superbly. The staff's attention to detail under Sam's direction was excellent. The food was first rate too. Grandma Pat was made to feel very special. Thanks Ding Sing.

Without a doubt, Ding Sing is the best Chinese restaurant in Tasmania!, actually is probably the best Chinese food in Australia. No visit to Launceston is complete without trying Sam's famous yum cha.
