Absolutely best by far in the area, I have tried every shop as I love my Friday night fish and chips! The couta will not disappoint, fish is fresh, decent size and not smothered in batter, burgers are massive, tasty and fresh. Definitely try, you will not look back
Very good fish and chips. If you're after a traditional fish and chips shop and not one of the newer fancy schmancy joints, Couta is pretty much the best option this side of the bridge.
Everything is fresh and most importantly, crispy, even after taking away. Great friendly service from this family owned joint. Can't go wrong.
We rocked up just as they were closing and they stayed open for us.

Best in the west. Best Fish & Chips in the west bar none, the food is always cooked to perfection and there customer service is excellent, I have never had a problem placing a phone order as another reviewer has and have always found the staff to be friendly and well spoken both over the phone and in person. Highly recommend a visit it wont disappoint.
Local Gem. I used to drive 10 mins to Altona Beach to get my fish and chips without realising this gem only 3 mins away from me!

I'm a regular here - every Friday night! I've tried all the fish and chipperies in the area and Couta is the best by far! Not only is the fish made perfectly, but the service is great!
