I had the beef rib . Small bit dry but that didn’t bother me as I was raised on bacon and cabbage. Staff are amazing . Credit to the the waiter with the glasses. He’s an asset to your team . Very helpful

As an ex UK resident, English born, I sometimes pine for a wonderful Sunday roast. I can cook lovely roasts at home, but sometimes I want to be the guest and have it cooked for me. We tried our local pub last year, but the carvery was dire, pre-cooked, pre-carved meats in metal containers – everything was overcooked and tasteless.
The steaks are easily one of the best in perth. They also have other signature irish dishes.
I found out about them from the entertainment book. and I go every year just for the steak. It was quite disappointing to see that they have removed their signature steak from the eligibility to claim it using the entertainment. its like the best thing in that book
Had no idea Fibber McGee's was so huge! Super lively bar area out the front with a classy, nostalgic dining room out back (and an upstairs level).
Great ambiance (some may find it too noisy in the dining room but I enjoyed it, the place had great energy). The decor also really reminded me of dinners back in Ireland. Plus all the waitstaff are Irish!
Service was good overall – they forgot our drinks and bread but realising the error gave us the drinks on the house. Staff were very polite and asked for feedback on the dishes (mark of a good restaurant that cares about its customers).
We tried the famous dry-aged steaks which were huge (500gm)! Ordered medium rare for both Koji and normal dry-aged steaks but ended up being medium and medium-well – a little disappointing. Luckily the steaks still had a great sear and packed some serious umami punch (I preferred the normal dry-aged to the Koji) but both had an intense, beefy flavour. Side dishes were also excellent – particularly the chips which were made from a very waxy potato and tasted delicious.
Can't wait to come back to try the other dishes on the menu (like the pie).
I love that they have a little separate area for the restaurant so you are out of the noise and chaos of the busy pub. Steaks are always delicious and cooked perfectly. We also love that for $40-50 you are getting a full meal with plenty of sides, rather than just a steak with extra charges for any sauce or sides. Service is always exceptional!
Surprisingly small but homely restaurant situated at the back of the bar. Service was very average and it took a while to be acknowledged or serviced. We dined quite early but food took quite a while to arrive. Luckily it was worth it. Portions are huge and everything was cooked perfectly.
Got what I expected, good hearty Irish food. Ordered their famous Steak and Stout pie with Colcannon mash and it didn't disappoint. Generous serving, great flavours and at a reasonable price. Not a fancy place, but it serves exactly what you go there for, good old fashioned Irish fare with all Guinness to wash it down with...🍺
Great food - substantial and the steak is great! Onion rings are super delicious. Expect a healthy meal that won't disappoint 😊
The restaurant has a lovely Irish atmosphere, even though upstairs is a bit too dark and quite stuffy but we still had a great time.
Best steaks in perth by a mile, very generous servings awesome service and the foods just brilliant.you must make a booking or you won't get a seat.
This place has the best steak in Perth. Warm and cozy atmosphere in the winter.
Very professional staff. Only downside is the limited seating.
For my little bro's special day we tried this place out and had a good time doing it. It's an eclectic establishment with a busy front bar, posh looking dining room and a beer garden (code for smokers area). We tried all three. Obviously for dinner we are in the dining room and squeezed onto a smallish table for 6. We shared a bread dipping plate that didn't go far and mostly constituted dips, with far too little bread for the quantity of dips (or people, although we did ask the waitress about the serve size).
For mains we all had something different from steak (the signature dish), to Guinness pie (in keeping with the Irish theme), lamb shanks (my choice and really good), sticky beef ribs (which gave the rest of us a good dose of food envy) and one Caesar salad.
The service was ok but the meals took a fair amount of time to come out. Having said that, they were good and reasonably priced. Despite one bill, they honoured 2 entertainment book vouchers, wiping out the two cheapest meals. Overall an interesting place to go with good meals and reasonable service. If you have a love of the Irish I think you'll like it here.
