What a fantastic cafe the staff are so lovely and the food is fantastic.
Had the Asian style char grilled calamari salad it was a great size and so tasty what a winning dish.
Only drawback for me no lactose free and coconut milk option.
Will definitely go back again

Food was fantastic and service was excellent. In particular the home mad pizza was delicious. You can really see and taste the care that was given to each dish. Beer battered chips was heavenly as well. Great experience overall!
Didn't know anything about Blue Turtle until agreeing to meet some friends there. Really surprised by how good value it was, had the veggie lentil soup (which they were happy to serve despite ordering it at 7:45am) at $10.50 and was very happy with the huge bowl! The whole table was complimenting the food and left content.

After eating for 2 consecutive days me and may partner were quite satisfied with the food dished up we both left full and happy. The meals we had ( Big Breakky, Healthy Breakky, Pancakes and French Toast) were cooked amazing and left us wanting more even though we were both bursting at the seams. All in all we had a great experience only criticism is the decor could use a bit of a tune up
I have only been there a hand full of times, but evry time i have been there the food has always been unique and delicious. The customer service has been up and down sometimes great sometimes average. But would still eat there! I am not a vegetarian but love their vegetarian options!
This place is easy to miss- but in my opinion if your in Lilydale it is unmissable- perfect for a casual lunch date with a bf. The iced coffee was big, cold and strong (got me in a good mood) and then came the corn fritter stacks- 10/10- and that's coming from a corn fritter fiend- I'm an addict! Fresh, tasty, and filling/ well done! All reasonably priced and they were happy to swap the bacon for smoked salmon and avo for a small fee. The decor is a bit rough and some proper signage at the front is desperately needed- or maybe not when the food is that good.
Servings are generous (grab a coffee and a bowl of huge chips with the cafe's own incredible tomato relish for a quick n cheap fill up). The Blue Turtle also had a great outside area at the rear- would be great on a summer day (still a lil chilly on my visit in September). Couldn't fault the food and bevs served at our table or the welcoming staff- cheers!
One of my absolute favourites. Maz and the team are awesome. I haven't had anything here that I didn't like. My favourites are the homemade muesli, mushies on toast and the french toast. Nom nom
Yummy brekky. Had a lovely brekky there...good quality food...good coffee..outdoor area at the back needs attention...cigarette butts..weeds... old crappy chairs...bit of a let down... staff very friendly and good service
Good service, lovely food. Took my family there for a birthday lunch and we enjoyed it. The service was friendly and very attentive. Didn't have to wait long for food to come out. I had a thai salad with poached chicken which was amazingly tasting and really satisfied my appetite for clean, wholesome food. Lovely little egg, bacon and cheese mini wrap for my 4yo son, who enjoyed it. Generous portions of food, probably a bit too big. Not a big fan of the décor or the ambience of the café, but happy to overlook this if food is decent. Terrible draft whenever anyone enters if you seat yourself near the front door. I would go back.
Awesome food. My partner had the BLAT and I had the French toast. It was really quick and tasted great. Hot chocolate and coffee was a bit below average but we're from Melbourne so maybe our tastes are too fancy.

Almond latte was pretty good, had the breakfast special - it was ah maze ING! Staff were warm and friendly as always, the seating is cosy, the scones are delicious
Went there again today.(22/08/91) Had there pizza vegetarian on special. Certainly re-affirmed my 5 star rating.

Blue turtle has good meal options. Fresh, tasty food, lovely staff, great prices. I used to meet my friend at a different cafe every two months, but now we always meet at Blue Turtle. It's perfect for a leisurely lunch, then stroll around the shops. No loud music, great for conversation.
Lovely spot - Im such a picky eater and dont like things too fancy (ie cured pumpkin seeds on a bed of sliced quinoa) and Blue Turtle had so many things I would love to eat and just good staple brunch food! Will definitely be going back. Staff really friendly and portion sizes are decent!
Great place & service really good coffee anytime or breakfast but so sad no more dinners. Fresh food made daily you can taste the difference & dog friendly out side only 👍
