Beautiful people, magnificent service, wonderful coffee and great food. This cafe is a hidden treasure, down a cute little arcade that this cafe gives so much life. Every day that I get the chance I go out of my way to come here and itβs not even just for the coffee/food, Julian and co are just as much the reason I love this business.

This little surprise is hidden away down a lovely little arcade full of art, fashion and homewares. Very French and oh so delicious. Fantastic simple baguettes, great coffee and more. Great atmosphere and busy. Well done Julien.
Very quant, authentic French cafe. Efficient and friendly service. Delicious food and great coffee. I had crepes which were great with Lemon and sugar. Prices were standard cafe prices.

Good coffee. A little taste of france: vanille slice, Portuguese tarts, chocolate moelleux cake, chocolate/vanilla/coffee eclairs, white chocolate and lime cheese cake, lemon tart, apple tarts.

The new sitting area at the back makes it more pleasant than sitting in the narrow arcade.
This is my favourite cafe for a break, a fabulous coffee and occasionally something delicious.
If you close your eyes you can imagine your sitting at a French cafe, soaking in the music, the art and the atmosphere.
The staff is friendly and service is efficient. Early morning and mid morning there is a busy buzz for takeaways.
Even though The French Bench is smallish there is always something new and delicious to try.
Seek them out...you will be glad you do.
The very best espresso anywhere. No question.
Julian uses Moonshine Coffee beans from Federal and gets every last bit of flavour out of them on his custom espresso machine. Absolutely magnificent.
The pastries are excellent too, especially the chocolate beignet.
Looking forward to my next espresso at the French Bench.
