We got married at Secret Creek and were so happy with absolutely everything. We had the team provide the ceremony location and dressing, flowers, table settings and all food, including several desserts, because we know they would create an amazing experience and give us a memorable, relaxed wedding. The team created the perfect atmosphere for the ceremony - being able to pick our location from many spots, ensured we were happy. This resulted it a beautiful and peaceful setting, next to a bubbling creek, for our ceremony - which we were ecstatic about. For the reception - out brief to the team was a long relaxed lunch - and they delivered. We already knew that the vegan food would be amazing (we had been there many times before), but it was just exceptional. About a quarter of our guests were vego - and those who weren't were just blown away by the food, all in a relaxed country setting. Couldn't recommend Secret Creek more for a wedding, or for any occasion really!

Great place for having vegan lunch. Perfect food design đŸ‘đŸ» nice and peaceful restaurant. I personally didn't like their food but it doesn't mean it was bad. I am just fussy with foods. I like foods more flavoured. Another issue was they served all five dish at once, so some of them got cold before we get a chance to eat them. Their tours begin in the evenings so if you want to visit the sanctuary you have to spend the night there which is not very convenient and can't have one day trip if you decide to visit animals. But you can have fun in the restaurant and have a different day. You also can see dingoes behind the fence which is lovely I think, cause I love dingoes and you can't see them very often.

Their Christmas in July Degustation menu was a lot of fun. Plenty of variety and very seasonally appropriate with lots of comfort food for the chilly weather.

Secret Creek CafĂ© & Restaurant lives up to its name by being right at the end of a road that you just wouldn’t expect to hide a restaurant. As the paved road narrows and the humble workers' cottages give way to pony yards, you’re going to wonder if your GPS has given you a bum steer. A gate labelled ‘Secret Creek’ will fill you with confidence and see you drive up a bush-lined driveway to this cafe, restaurant and animal sanctuary. With no other dwellings visible, Secret Creek feels deep in bushland, while still being only a couple of kilometers from Lithgow's Main Street shopping district. The restaurant space is a rustic, wooden affair, made special with afternoon sun pouring through the stained-glass doorway. The glass door is decked out in bulrushes - a restful aquatic scene full of blues and greens; while the fanlight shows a crimson rosella feeding on eucalypts. The celebration of Australiana continues onto the wooden tables, where no less than five different glass vases and jars hold wildflowers and natives. As we settle into our padded wooden farmhouse chairs, David Keenan is singing his heart out against acoustic guitar in a sad, folky song about kidnapped children (Two Kids). Arranged across two chalkboards, Secret Creek’s daytime menu consists of eight dishes. Everything is vegan, so take words like ‘fish’ and ‘bacon’ with a grain of salt. Salt is put to good effect in the tasty Kentucky Fried Cauliflower ($15.50) served with a KFC-inspired bowl of mash and gravy and a soft, little, warm bun. It eats well without any of the fat-soaked regret you might feel after indulging in a more meal at the fast-food giant, who changed their name to distance themselves from the unhealthy connotations of 'fried'. As we’re situated very close to pine forests, Soft Polenta ($17.50) is an obvious choice because it’s topped with sautĂ©ed pine mushrooms, which are textural and super-delicious. The dish is dotted with likeable vegan soft fetta and pretty pink burst of finger lime. My only complaint is the soft polenta gets boring before I get through it, though that prehaps reflects me being more used to eating polenta that is soaked in non-vegan butter. Secret Creek Cafe & Restaurant produced the best food I ate in Lithgow – vegan or otherwise – and I’d happily return for another meal.

Very nice local Cafe. Some local wildlife is kept in enclosures were you can look at. All the food is vegan, but don't let that deter you it is exceptional, you feel at times as if it was not vegan. The inside of the cafe is old but elegant. Great experience would highly recommend. Note: Bring warm clothing during winter as it is very cold with temperatures hitting sub 0.

Delicious vegan food in a delightful setting complete with animal sanctuaries. You can eat your lunch while seeing wallabies outside the window. Take your appetite as the food is yummy and the servings generous.
