All I can say is amazing, amazing,amazing. The duck was to die for, and my sons fish was so delicious, no frozen, packet food at this place...
I have dined here a few times and have found the food great .The prices are a bit higher but still great value for what you get .A change of menu would be nice though
One of Mackay's Finest. I finally got to dine at Church on Palmer tonight (after moving to the Mackay region 2 years ago) and I'm already keen to go back again! I had the crab and tiger prawn, crème fraiche stack for entrée and eye fillet with scallops and tiger prawns for main. Both courses were fabulous and I could not fault the food. I also could not fit in dessert as the portions were quite large, so next time I'll go for a main and dessert. The service was professional and the atmosphere was very inviting. The church is lovely inside and I'm sure sitting outside would be nice too. The ladies' toilets could use a makeover, but now I'm nitpicking! Truly I can't wait to dine at Church on Palmer again in the new year :)
Great atmosphere and food. This place is worth a visit. Had a great meal tonight, deep fried Camembert, followed by a beautiful lamb dish. Decor is great, very real and very comfortable.
Had my anniversary dinner here with my boyfriend... Had the most amazing 3 coarse meal. Will definitely go back
Went on a Friday night and we could choose from a set menu or thr normal menu. Set Menu was $55 for 3 courses and there were 2 options for each course. The food was just beautiful. Always love going to dinner here. The staff and service was great! Never had to ask for drinks. There was a kids menu which they could colour in, it entertained all the kids.
Don’t judge the book by the cover. Although the place doesn’t look very fancy from the outside, the inside dining areas have some antique feel to it. The service was excellent with friendly and attentive staff. Food was absolutely amazing and delicious, just the right portion size for each dish. The friend banana dessert was above and beyond my expectation, thin & crispy spring roll pastry with warm banana on the inside and that butterscotch sauce was beyond words could describe… everything just simply melts in the mouth especially with the ice cream and cream. Definitely one of the best dining place in Mackay! Highly recommended!!
The Church is definitely one one of the more romantic 1 on 1 experiences available in Mackay. The exterior definitely doesn't feel exciting and to be very honest.. the inside doesn't change that opinion, yet with a vibe of a simple, yet sophisticated feel.
They have a consistently changing menu which keeps things fresh and exciting.
Easily one of the better tasting restaurants, although sticking with the standard North Queensland fashion of overcooking their steaks. If your looking for a cheap night, they do over a capped price menu offering a 3 course meal at roughly $40 per person price or you can choose from their set days menu (changing on weekends) but expect to pay around $80pp
All in all, friendly staff, a relaxed vibe and a romantic setting, defiantly a place to have on your list for those important dinners such as a birthday or anniversary
Absolutely beautiful restaurant. Been going here for over a year now with my partner and the food is always divine. Love how they switch the set menus to experience different foods. Amazing and friendly staff. Will always recommend

Food was great. Good size for the price. Cocktails were also good.
Rang and booked a table had to wait to be seated for 5 minutes and was just whatever table was vacant no reserve signs or option of sitting outside.
They don't bring you the check when you are done which is a little disappointing for a higher end restaurant.
Overall experience good.
Fantastic dining experience. Food was perfection, service staff amazing and friendly. First time visit and I'll certainly be back.
