Chef’s GalleryShop 407, Level 3 Upper, Macquarie Centre, Cnr Herring Rd And Waterloo Rd, Macquarie Park, Sydney. Ever have a craving for a particular type of food and you just can’t shake it? We did and it was for dumplings. The restrictions had limited our regular dumpling hits and we needed them badly. We headed to Chef’s Gallery inside Macquarie Centre to satisfy this need. We knew they served dumplings - and more - and knew they’d be good.
Love the battered prawns and the wasabi sauce with it! Was one of my favourite dish from them. A lot of the meals on the menu appear very appetising, and for my next visit, I def want to give them a try! The noodles were great as well :)
My dish was the spinach noodles with the pork. It was tasty. The mango pancake was good! My fav so far. The tom yum fried rice was ok. A bit salty for my liking. You probably need to eat it on the side. The sweet and sour pork was crunchy and very sweet. Need something savoury to go with it. Green tea ice cream was tasty. A bit on the expensive side but very well presented and tasty.
Must try:
3 egg (chicken, salted duck and century) fried rice
“3 cup” chicken - goes well with plain white rice to soak up all the sauce.
Salt & pepper + salted egg tofu - yummy. Mix the deep fried shallots, spring onion and chopped chilli into your carbs to up your flavour game.
Cumin lamb wrapped in rotti - cumin + lamb, goes well deconstructed taco & hipster (once you try it you’ll like it - you still question the logic but you know it works).
So-so:
Pan fried pork dumplings - lots of vinegar, 💥 said my taste buds.
Why not 5 ⭐️? Price rather steep, but good service all round. Arrive early so avoid the crowds on weekends. We find there are jokers who take number from both them and their neighbour - then goes into the first one who calls. Grrr...
What not to love about a Chinese restaurant. Their menu has so many options that always make it difficult for us to decide, but nevertheless, their food is always great.
This has been my second time I had lunch here and I enjoyed what I ate for lunch both times, the first time I had the salt and pepper calamari and it was excellent and the second time I had the Tataki wagyu beef and that was just scrumptious
Came here for a birthday lunch on a weekday and was not disappointed. The noodles where amazing, we ordered both wok friend and noodle soups. We watched our noodles being made fresh, along with our roti. Everything tasted great. The place was full, but the service was still efficient and reasonably friendly. Top tip, for the best experience, come as early as possible!
Great food and not your average Chinese Australian fare. We shared a mix of dishes and every one was fantastic and a little unusual. Great service. Great experience overall.
It was my first time coming here, for Sunday lunch with my family.
Even though they were busy with customers, order came out so quickly. Impressive.
Dishes were plated rather beautiful and portion was ok (I wish for bigger portion considering the price).
Favourite dishes so far: Chinese toon noodle, Three eggs fried rice and Salt n Pepper Tofu.
We also ordered Lychee n Mint Duck but I was a bit disappointed that the skin was not crispy. Duck was tender otherwise.
This restaurant offers authentic Chinese handmade noodles with a westernised twist. We ordered six dishes in total and our favourite was the Peking duck roti which was delicious and filling. All of the noodles had a great texture and you could tell they were actually handmade because they went on forever. Overall impressive Chinese restaurant with a westernised touch to it.
