Living locally on the island, I get to regularly sample the best that both Townsville and Maggie Island offer for places to eat out.
While I love the pub meals on the island, absolutely nothing can go past the absolutely awesome meals that Noodies have on offer.....I really recommend the Tex Mex!! Chances are you'll need those takeaway containers, and while it's a bit of help-yourself service, the staff couldn't be more attentive and friendly!
Everyone around us was laughing and having a great time, overlooking beautiful Horseshoe Bay, and when things died down a bit the staff made their way around to see how it was and have a chat.
Honestly, to see the best in terms of what the island offers, from lovely people, mouth-watching food that overflows the plate, and just the happiest and relaxed island time, do not go past Noodies!

After a long walk into Magnetic isald we were staving and looking for a niece place to spend a bit of time around of glass of alcohol. And we found this Mexican place serving Jug of Margharitas (one jug bough= one sombrero offered) . The drinks were very good and refreshing. I shared the noodies Mex salad with corn, cabbage, sweet potatoes, roasted zucchini, green peas carrots and guacamole and I was pretty good and well seasoned! The vegetarian burger was also very good and the fries were well salted. A nice place to enjoy even more your holidays.
Friendly service, okay environment, $36 for a cocktail large jug (was for 2 people but should be okay for 3-4 people) which came with 1 free sombrero so that was pretty fun
Tapas good value & very tasty selection. Coffee excellent - smooth and mild. Well positioned, opposite the beach. Service was friendly and efficient.
Absolutely delicious. Simple but so great!! Loved it and staff were so friendly. Paella = 10/10 my chilli beef enchilada was mint as anything!!!
Deekay. Love noodies, but what has happened to the colourful decorations you used to get in your drinks? Have been there twice this weekend and didnt get them either time, are they only reserved for the high season?

Breakfast with a Mexican twist. The Huevos Rancheros is not bad but made soooo much better with the addition of hot Tabasco. The coffee was a little burnt. However the fresh iced coffee rocked. All in all a pleasant experience

Dropped in here for a quick lunch and to grab some drinks, and it was an enjoyable experience. For $40, I got a large plate of nachos, a cocktail and a glass of juice. Be aware when purchasing here on the weekend, that there is a 10% surcharge, and my price above included that cost.
Menus are available throughout the restaurant, and meals are ordered at the counter, so ensure to secure a table prior to ordering and have your order ready to ensure smooth service.
Our meals came out relatively quick, which was great and we had ordered, received our meals AND finished within 30 minutes, so this worked great for the tour we were on. Staff do ask that if you are time limited, to let them know, so they can ensure to cater for this.
There are limited options for those with allergies, and substitutions are not able to be made, so if you do have food intolerances or allergies, you will simply need to order something else as they were unable to cater for this when requested.
Overall, depsite being a but pricey compared to the mainland, the food was really enjoyable. Both my nachos and my companions food (enchiladas) were well cooked, crisp and great flavour. Was very pleased with the quality of the meals.

We had the best experience and delicious food. Lovely owner greeted us and gave us the run down on all the foods and was very polite. Food came out and it tasted A M A Z I N G ✨ so good we went again the next day!

The new management (same owners as Surley Sri Lankan) has made the food and experience incredible. So good! A must-go for anyone visiting Horseshoe Bay on the island. Highly recommend the bean nachos, chicken wings, fish taco, beef burrito bowl, and (OMG) the piña coladas couldn’t be better
Great little spot for a few cocktails, we had a jug of mango Margaritas then came back for a cocktail tower and nachos.
Awesome vibe, the food and drinks were good, fast service. The free sombrero with cocktail jugs was pretty cool, and perfect for the beach after.
