Great food friendly staff , was encouraged to try certain dishes which I love as I like the experience of dinning and house recommendations we had a spectacular wine , and what impressed me most was the fact that the chefs cooked the staff an amazing lunch after service true Italian at its best 5�'s
Being vertically challenged it was not ideal to be seated at the bar but watching the Chefs at work soon distracted me from the uncomfortable seating. Promegrante in the melanzane was a great twist & I tasted the octopus which was cooked to perfection. The spanner crab linguini was delicious & despite being full couldn't stop at that had to try the panettone ice cream dessert just because. The Italian conversation flowing, impeccable wait staff, food that reminded me of nonna = tip & my new fave local!

Myself and 4 friends dined at Sagra on the opening night. The service was very attentive and the food was sensational. There was a fantastic vibe about the place and it really is worth a visit. There are three floors including a rooftop bar and a fantastic art gallery.
We had a wonderful night NYE night with our families. Delicious food , cocktails & our waiter Frank was lovely . Next year more of us are coming �

This place has had me coming back for more on repeat. I really enjoy my time when I’m here. The service is amazing, authentic Spanish and Italian hosts, incredibly delicious food that transports you to destinations around the world and a wonderful venue. The lighting, seating and space is all well thought out with attention to detail, my only qualm is that the venue could have a tiny remodelling to match its level of food and service to a more fine dining feel. Lovely place to eat and staff and service are really fantastic. Even without a booking they try to accommodate you and when we have arrived a toddler in tow they have been great and got the little one’s food out quickly. Food and wine is amazing with beautifully cooked meats and silky delicious pasta. Love eating here.
Amazing find. So much attention to detail! From the beautifully sculpted round or square ice cube, to the delicately placed duck egg yolk on the beef carpaccio. This place is amazing and should have people flocking. They also do functions with a beautiful rooftop bar... look forward to hosting something here... we will be back asap!
Sagra was the perfect venue for my 21st! The staff were so ORGANISED and HELPFUL and KIND . The food is mind blowing and they provide vegetarian and vegan options too which was greatly appreciated! If you are having a function you need to have it at Sagra. The event manager Melanie is very detailed, helpful and kind of relaxes you through the stress of planning a party!
Also, the gentleman who was looking after us with the rainbow bow tie (so sorry I forgot your name I was so stress out) was so kind hearted and helpful. I will definitely help you out for your wedding in two years!!

I always enjoy a visit to Sagra and this time was no exception. On previous occasions I have found service to be the only downside however, I am pleased to say that today was spot on! We grazed on their Sagra Di Deli and I couldn’t resist my favourite, Gamberi (prawns) grilled on the Josper with chilli, garlic & parsley, delicious!
Lovely staff and venue. We had the scallops for entree, duck and lamb for mains with a salad to share and a wine each. Total came to $130 which was very reasonable. Venue was a bit loud. I will happily come back here. Only thing I didn't like when paying - the receipt has a line for you to add a tip and the EFTPOS machine was at the "tip?" page when I was ready to enter my PIN. I understand why tips are requested in the US, but not in Australia where staff earn a lot more than $4 a hour.
Had dinner with my bestie here tonight, excellent service and fabulous experience! We ordered roasted chicken and Hapuka (Fish). The chicken waz really yum, the fish was a bit salty but thas ok it came with salad. After meal, we went upstair to see a photograph exhibition. Unfortunately i forgot to take photos for the food, too hungry, when i realised it, i was already end of meal.
I really liked this place.
You walk in and the atmosphere is open, with clean lines, it's fun but not bowl you over noisey. In front of you is the open kitchen with chefs busy at their work yet happy to greet you.
The menu is great, perhaps modern Italian. The wine list is really interesting and looks like they have taken interest and care. Best of all, it looks as though they have considered most budgets, including those that cater for a mid-week quick dinner with the wife but equally you could have a long lunch or celebration dinner in style.
The food is sensational. We really loved it. We both had pasta, seafood linguine. Looking at other tables, everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals.
Finally, the waitstaff were great. Heavy on the European side. They were welcoming, knowledgeable and efficient and really completed what was a great experience.
Came here on the weekend with friends and loved everything this place has to offer. Very busy and the staff were attentive and the food very generous and above all very tasty. The pasta is a must have, Cabonara, made in house. watching the open kitchen in full swing on a busy night was lots of fun
Awesome layout & atmosphere. Staff are very attentive and warm. Food was amazing, we got the octopus and the Sagra Tasting Board to share for entree. Mains were the seafood linguine and scotch fillet, medium rare - both cooked perfectly. Pretty cool watching the food being made in the middle of the restaurant too!
Perfect night out: Cocktail bar and art gallery upstairs, prompt service, great wine recommendation, yummy calamari / squid, devastatingly rich chocolate tart dessert. Pricey but fun.

The stylish Sagra in Malvern is a modern Italian restaurant with a few secrets. Tucked away on the second floor is an art gallery, currently showing 'No Man Is An Island: Plein Air Paintings of Phillip Island' by Mark Schaller and Mick Turner (you may be familiar with the latter's work from the album covers of his post-rock band, the inimitable Dirty Three). And above the gallery? A rooftop bar. Some antipasto, mains and birthday cake later, we realised we'd been at Sagra for hours. It's easy to do.

Beautiful big restaurant, with a modern feel. I really liked the alternative art on display in the gallery on level 1, as well as the funky rooftop bar overlooking Malvern. Unfortunately, when we visited we were seated next to a large function and largely overlooked by the wait staff. We started with some drinks from the expansive wine menu and antipasto from the deli, which had many delicious homemade delights.
The mains took almost an hour to arrive, however, it all arrived together and upon seeing the quality of the food I understood why. Lots of time and technique must go into creating the beautiful dishes here. My lamb was the best I've had. The crust was divine and overall the dish was very filling despite it's small size.
The food was absolutely delicious, The Sagra board was one of the best antipasto boards we have had and the pasta was on another level. To top off the great food the service was absolutely amazing. We can't wait to return!
Pre dinner drinks on the rooftop bar to start off a perfect evening . Our main meals consisted of the Galletto and Barramundi and they were both delicious and authentic. We also ordered a number of side dishes..and the polenta chips were an absolute stand out. Service excellent and the open spacious setting of the restaurant gives an Italian alfresco touch to your dining experience.
What I loved about this place is a feeling like you're not in Melbourne! Music is not loud so that you can actually hear your partner. Free home made bread as much as you want. Lift to upper levels. Great service and not overpriced for what you get
On the other hand, can say that food was amazing. It was good but... duck skin wasn't crispy, my partners steak wasn't cooked as ordered. Oh and our waiter was so inexperienced! As a suggestion they should train staff much better before letting them be on the floor
A beautiful restaurant with terrific service and food to match. Modern dishes pay perfect tribute to traditional Italian cuisine, adding an interesting twist to spice up even the simplest of meals. The carbonara with smoked pancetta and a coddled egg (pictured) is testament to this.
Wonderful Valentines Day set menu. We were in the gallery space which was beautiful. The downstairs is bustling and energetic, while the upstairs (via elevator) is a bit quieter and has some views of the street. Service was absolutely amazing. Lovely staff. Wines and food were delicious. Not having to brave the city for such a great restaurant is the biggest plus. Easy parking and close to two tram lines and the train. Perfect for the eastern suburbs dwellers. We will definitely be back.
Very impressive venue with old school concierge greeting that works. Food was excellent with so many great options I was mentally ordering for my next visit. Cocktails on the roof: Jonas. Service was a bit sporadic yet didn't take away from evening. Perfect non local, local.
An artistically decorated gallery cafe restaurant sitting on Glenferrie road that serves modern Italian fusion food. The bread served is very nice and the dark chocolate gelato is just perfect for a hot day in Melbourne. The set lunch is good value of money too!
Sagra is a professional, organised and clean Italian restaurant with a modern twist. The food here is well presented, and staff are capable and trained adequately.
The pasta is cooked with expertise, and paired with nicely complementing ingredients, with an appropriate serving size for its quality and price. Honourable mentions go to the octopus salad and the tiramisu, which were crafted with as much expertise as the pasta, and paired with the meal well. The risotto was slightly lacklustre for its price, however was presented in a manner that was pleasing for the eye and nose.
Huge range of deli antipasto yums. Authentic Italian food at its best. Had the beef capaccio, bruschetta and caprese. Lovely wines available too. Definitely a great spot for dates, catch ups and functions. Beautifully decked out inside and has a lovely rooftop.
The pasta here is amazing. A tad on the pricey side but great for suburban restaurant. The place I go to if we can't go into the city for Tipo 00. A bit loud but we love sitting at the kitchen bar to view the pasta cooking. Gamberi, chicken wings and two pastas with wine $105
Excellent customer service. We sat outside and really enjoyed the mixed platter for two. Some of the pasta dishes looked quite expensive, but we were happy with what we paid for our order. The bread was lovely, as were the cheeses and olives. We'll definitely be popping in to buy some goodies for our next picnic lunch.
My girlfriend invited me to Sagra last night for my birthday and it was a great experience. first of all, the food was to die for. I have to say it was the best pasta carbonara i had in my entire life ( Please don't say this to my mother!). We also had the salmon carpaccio and the ragu tagliatelle which were excellent too. The service was faultless as well and plates came quite quickly while the restaurant was packed. The overall atmosphere was great as well, buzzing but not very loud. So pretty much, everything you hope for when you go out for dinner. It was a great experience and I am already dreaming about my next plate of pasta carbonara from Sagra..
First of all-outstanding service from our waitress lucreszia. Menu is amazing-everything is interesting but still makes sense; it's unpretentious and authentic and the right amount of experimental. Everything was cooked perfectly, wine list was great and aperol spritz was spot on. Can't wait to come back! 💘

Service: 8/10 - Waitress was friendly and attentive at the beginning but towards the end of service, became a little edgy and annoyed after we had asked for our cake to be cut and arrange for serving plates and dessert forks to used. She explained that she had planned to do this but was waiting around for us to finish taking photos. In my mind I was thinking, my guests and I didn't ask for you to wait for us to take photos though...?
Ambience/Atmosphere: 10/10 - Really beautiful interior with interesting oversized pieces of art. The space has a really comforting Industrial/marketplace feel.
Food: 9/10 - ordered the spaghetti with prosciutto. Surprisingly fulfilling portion given that it was presented like an entree sized portion. Spaghetti resembled Hokkien noodles which was a big peculiar and was a little too salty for my liking. There was also complimentary bread and olive oil/balsamic vinegar which was delicious!
Also ordered the tiramisu which was presented as a deconstructed tiramisu. Really punchy flavours but not too sweet which is perfect for the sheer size of the dessert.
Dinner for 2, Saturday 7pm. Lovely service and traditional pasta that was perfect for a cold winter Melbourne. Decor was nice, loved the kitchen being in the middle of the restaurant. Will definitely come back for dessert, perhaps putting some warm desserts for winter would be good.

The place looks and feels great, but very loose. The food is good which should go without saying in any restaurant, but again, consistency is the key, combined with value for money. Restaurants are without a doubt, a tremendously hard gig regardless of menu and price. Some place's have it down pat and this takes years of experience. The key is passion! The passion is there, it show's, but what it needs is better systems, strategies, and a strong set of policies and procedures combined with training, training, and more training. The Demographics of the area certainly welcomes this venue, and we just hope they, the consumers, haven't been too brainwashed with Master chef and other cooking shows to a point of no return. These cooking shows have certainly opened new dimensions for all involved including the diners, but don't believe everything you see on television. Sagra is a good strong business with the right ideas behind the scenes, it just needs more of that special ingredient from all involved in the business, from front of house to back of house. This special ingredient is called LOVE. Combine this with a PASSIONATE team and VWALA!!!!!!

We had a celebratory dinner here, the place has a nice atmosphere - the gallery upstairs can really set the mood.
The service was warm and very friendly, everybody had an accent with a smile.
The food was enjoyable; the menu had safe Italian items, I was hoping for a bit more surprise - some unfamiliar choices.
I would like to visit again during the day for coffee and lunch.
I loved the food and the art gallery. Great variety of dishes very well made. The tables need to be spaced further away from neighbouring tables though.
Highly recommend! Great food and average service. However a little bit shame that no one introduced the special of the night until we asked someone after we ordered our meal. Lovely dessert!

We started with cocktails at the rooftop bar which were fabulous and reasonably priced, then moved downstairs to the restaurant for one of the best dinners of my whole entire life!!! We shared a few starters/entrees - the beef carpaccio was silky soft and delicious with a hint of truffle, the gamberi were huge tiger prawns and perfectly cooked, fritto misto lovely and the sticky pork ribs tender and sticky and fall off the bone heavenly!
The Bistecca I had for main was right up there with the best steak I have ever had. Perfectly cooked medium-rare and so flavoursome. The service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was great. I am so happy to have this amazing place on my doorstep and I can't wait to go back...soon!

Really beautiful restaurant that definitely caters to the area. Service is very attentive, with water constantly being filled and requests being tended to promptly. The bread they served was warm and delicious. The food is on the pricey side which is to be expected in Malvern, but the quality is very good. The spaghetti carbonara (an oldie but a goodie) was impressive and I definitely had food envy when it came out. My friend and I both ordered the panini (her's veggie, mine the wagyu beef) and that's where it was a little odd. Her panini came with two slices of bread (one for the top and bottom) plus a side of chips, whereas mine only came with a bottom slice and no chips. It was strange. I mentioned it to the waiter who sort of brushed it off. It didn't bother me too much and it was incredibly tasty, but I think all the paninis should be served the same.
Would highly recommend this venue. We had a group of about 14 of us and started with pre-dinner drinks in the roof top bar. We then went to the next level down to view the artworks on display in their gallery. We then headed back to the roof top bar where we waited to be called for our table. We had such a lovely time, the food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. We would definitely go back here again. What a great venue in an excellent locale. Something quite unique is the open kitchen and the fact there are two other levels - gallery and roof top bar.
Had a fantastic meal here with the wife and kids. Nice friendly staff plenty of authentic Italian waiters and good quality food with great specials in a nice space including a delightful Vongale the Tuna is also exceptional. The venue did have some teething problems but is now hitting all the right notes can't wait to go back highly recommend !
Outstanding dining experience. From the young all-Italian (and cheeky) waiters to the spectacular food, this was a treat from start to finish. Not cheap but the quality was worth it. Crab Linguini was a favourite. I'll be back.

Had a lovely dinner at Sagra on Friday night. The venue itself is incredibly impressive with a spacious bustling dining area on the bottom floor and a large open kitchen in the centre. The menu is fairly diverse catering for most palates. I ordered the fish special which was grilled spotted gunnard with a tomato, fennel and caper berry salad. The fish was perfectly cooked and the accompanying salad made for a light and tasty meal. I also appreciated the generous amount of complimentary fresh bread with olive oil with balsamic vinegar that we received. Also, make sure to check out the rooftop cocktail lounge on the top floor - great views and a really nice array of cocktails to sample!
Dined here with a group on a friday night, great food and wine with a cool, italian, modern, industrial design. The menu is a touch pricey but the food is worth it.

We had the 4 cheese plate to start full of amazing quality cheese, perfumed honey and fruits. The truffle cheese was impeccable as was the burrata style cheese. We had 2 bottles of the best French Champagne - ones we can't find at other restaurants around the area and then.... the 1.2kg steak was AMAZING. The kohlrabi that came with this huge Flintstones style steak was the best we've had.
Service was out of this world. Impeccable to say the least. The decor was that good it felt I was in New York and upstairs was an art gallery - then next level a roof top bar better than sleazy Emerson. Come here. Enjoy yourself and indulge. This place has tremendous potential but needs tightening. Ambience fantastic, open kitchen,mainly Italian staff. Food is authentic and the pastas in particular a standout. Arrived after 8pm and easily got a seat at the bar. Probably should have chosen to sit on the other side away from the service area, but that didn't overly detract. I like sitting and eating at the bar, perfect for one or two people who aren't eating a large amount. The waiter was friendly and informative and service was efficient. Ordered a lovely glass of Italian wine and 3 starters. While waiting for the food enjoyed watching the kitchen put together the orders and the head chef barking out orders.
King prawns arrived first. Deliciously cooked in a tasty garlic and olive oil sauce. The crusty bread perfect to sop up the juices. Next the large zucchini flowers lightly fried and filled with ricotta. Chef asked if we were enjoying the food and on our happy reply, had the staff give us a little focaccia bread filled with potato and onions as a special extra.
Food and drinks are pricey, however given the quality of the food I ate last night I think it was worth it. Perhaps a lighter bar menu might be a good idea? Given we didn't take up the space of a table. The restaurant is large and busy. Clearly doing well in an area not known for late night dining. The art gallery upstairs and a rooftop bar add to the "city" feel of this inner city suburb. Will be back.
My family and I just love dining at Sagra. I love the total Italian vibe, from the menu to the waiting staff, especially now that the menu has been revised to emphasise its Italian roots once again. The linguine marinara is usually my go to and I’m glad to say that they’ve got the dish right again! It was delicious! Hubby had the Wagyu and that was cooked to perfection. My baby girls are always spoilt by the wait staff with their meticulous attention to children’s needs (serious!). Phil was wonderful with his wine recommendations. Thank you for a wonderful night. Been anticipating the opening of Sagra and it has not disappointed! I had the linguine mare for dinner once and the seafood bisque for lunch another occassion and other than the soup not being hot enough, the flavours we're delish!! Definitely making this our local!!! Love!

Excited to have Sagra in Malvern.. Have dined here twice now, and have had different experiences both times. Our last visit last night ended well, although at the start of the night thought it was going to be a disappointing night. Greeted at the door by who we thought to be the owner and were told to make our way to the bar as table was not ready. Ok so we have a drink, all good until we had to ask if our table 25 minutes later as they seemed to have forgotten about us.. The host wasn't personable at all and his demeaner abrupt as if we were hassling him.. But hey, we booked so get your act together so we don't have to ask.
Now seated we had a drinks waiter recommend a wine which was nice and had our first round of food ordered. No specials were explained which was disappointing as the table next to us seemed to be enjoying one of them. Food arrived and was tasty but we were sharing and had to ask for share plates.
Simple mistakes that are un necessary.
We then had the section waiteress help with our mains and the night changed from here. Helpful and informative, she took her time to find out what we were feeling and advised us on suggestions to share and order different mains which our chosen wine would compliment.. On her recommendation order the pork chop and my wife the chicken and our friends had the scotch fillet (she said better than the porterhouse special) and she was right. She ordered just enough sides and was honest in saying we had had ordered to many sides dishes. What was great is that she kept a close eye on our table and managed to get in on our jokes. A nice touch was she decanted our second bottle of wine as we still had not finished our first, to allow it to breath before we started at it.. Attention to detail and yet easy going that allowed us to loosen up and relax..
she sent a round of limo cellos and thanked us for waiting at the start of the evening. Someone who knew her tables and was able to acknowledge that our start wasn't great. A small touch that went a long way for us. Can't say the same for the tall guy with glasses who seated us.
Sagra has the potential for many great things and all the elements in place.. What started as a so so night ended well because of our waitress Savannah.. Can be an awesome night out but it depends on who you get as your waiter.. Will be back.. Although I would like to see more consistency in the waitstaff..

The place is beautiful and the fitout amazing..
For a service perspective, I can not relate to the comments made.., our waitress was amazing. She offered her comments and recommendations and the best way to eat given the size of the menu.. In her hand we agreed to let her order for us and it didn't disappoint.
We shared the Melanzane,zucchini flowers( so crispy and tasty) followed by a second sharing of the seafood dishes of polio, gamblers and carpaccio.. Being European I much appreciated how she grouped food to share and not just sent it all out, veggie followed by fish, allowing us to experience the flavours with more clarity. The wine choice a Soave was perfect. Our main came out 20 mins later and hit the spot .. The only complaint I have is that my carbonara was a little cold..
Desserts are to die for and as we were in the first seating, we were kindly offered to have them in the bar as our table was rebooked.. A nice touch and gesture..

Besides a few teething problems Sagra is a place worth dinning at maybe not for the Versace wearing locals but it is if your wiling to put up with them sitting next to you:))))✌️

Over priced. I immediately dislike a place that tries too hard to be an idea. This is what I felt Sagra is trying to do. I prefer places to evolve humbly and earn their reputation and an image.
We had a booking for 6:30 but had been told that we would have to leave by 8:30pm since they had an 8:30 sitting. However, it wasn't a busy night therefore we were not ushered out. Service was therefore generally good since it wasn't a busy night. All food was consistently good. I had the risotto cooked as it should be, two others at our table had tagliatelle and another the gnocchi. However, the dishes were not extraordinary, nor should they have been. It is a bistro-restaurant with gallery and bar attached. Mains are definitely overpriced. Sagra should clarify what it wants to be - a good food family bistro with a 'feed them, kick them out for the next sitting' or somewhere overpriced to be seen at, for a bite to eat and a drink. Would I go again? Not for a pasta - better priced places serving excellent pasta dishes elsewhere. Not any time soon. I'd be interested in trying again some time in the future, once it has established itself and found a 'natural' identity.
They need to get their booking sorted out as I booked a week in advance but they were unable to find it when we arrived. I did find them accommodating finding us a table within 10 min. I enjoyed the food although not sure it matches the prices.

Great Wives and educational experience. Arrived at Sagra last night in what seemed to be a mosh pit of confusion. Our door host said he couldn't find our booking,, the owner was yelling out to the chefs (could have been saying anything) while trying to seat people and what seemed like 100 waitstaff, darting back and forward.... so at this point i'm little apprehensive
(more so as i've decided to bring the in laws). Finally we get seated and our waitress comes, she was pleasant but not overly engaging as she left the menus and went off to presumably service another table... Fine except we would have loved for her to run us through the menu instead of us having to ask questions when she returned. Order taken and the food arrived within 15 mins. Better than the start of the night..
The food is amazing... we loved our starters although we felt the bruschetta could have been bigger, but the flavours we good.
Our mains arrived 20 minutes later and the steak was delicious. The pappardelle were slightly bland, but pasta cooked al dente..
Still no engagement from our waitress. Found it hard to catch her attention and order more drinks.
The owners wife saw this and came straight over. Drinks arrived in a flash, she took the time to engage with us and proceeded to give us a lesson in the italian scarpeta, where she goes on to tell how its is sacreligious to send back a plate with sauce.. Aptly she grabbed the canister of oil, poured lashings over the plate of remaining steak juices, ground fresh salt and pepper on to our plate and arrived with fresh crusty bread to, " lap it up" as she called it.. And she was right... it topped of our meal and more so my in laws were over the moon at what they just experience. Limoncello arrived to wish my wife a happy birthday..happy wife, happy life !!
Will be back... for the great food and hospitality of the lady owner... you made our night amazing... hopefully on our next visit you staff will have adopted some of generous and serving nature.
Good looking place and good lay out. Our starters were good but our mains were nothing special and took a while to reach us
Oh my God!. What an amazing restaurant. Thank god because Glenferrie Rd needed this..
Loved the food, although some portions could be a little bigger.. The quality is amazing and drank a couple of bottles of nice Italian wine. Hope to see more local wines in the future and the staff, while still getting their feet, were pleasant and accommodating, and not arrogant unlike the trend with many Italian restaurants with Italian floor staff.
Tables could be better spaced out but overall an amazing experience. Welcome to Malvern Sagra and good luck
Stunning Decor; good food. So the decor is superb...it's a pleasure to be in the great ambiance that should equal the food, wine and most of all, service.
For most part of of it , it does!
Gnocchi divine/ stunning.
Other pastas ordered were also praised by our friends, although the three serves of Prawn Ravioli begged for 2 more each, they thought.....
Wine by the glass....yes I know there are rules??? but give a guest a few extra sips...at $16 a glass it's not asking too much.
Food presented at other tables also looked delicious.
Service was very amiable, attentive by most, except when we asked our waitress for tap water...never to be seen again....
Will come back again.
A must go for Glenferrie Road. Just had dinner at Sanga and had the gnocchi that was as soft as little pillows that melt in your mouth, fantastic!
The atmosphere was great and the staff were fabulous. Great to be able to sit at the bar seated in front of the chefs and watch them do their stuff.
Get in early for a great seat and a friendly chat to the staff.
I must admit I haven't actually eaten here yet but I have had a good few glasses of wine and gone to the stunning gallery. The wine was superb. The rooftop bar is stunning. Looking forward to spending much more time at Sagra as they settle in and get some more great staff to serve.
Update- have eaten here twice now. Delicious food, great, bustling kind of atmosphere. Lovely staff. Great rooftop bar- perfect for groups. Will be great in summer.
Back again for lunch and everyone here seems to be humming along- super quality ingredients and bustling service. Happy to see the kinks have been ironed out. Roof top Sunday's seem like a good idea, grilled octopus entree and calamari salad a stand out. House pasta excellent.

Improved 100% since my first visit. My first visit was just after Sagra opened and the teething problems were very apparent to myself and most other reviewers.
Paid them another yesterday with the missus and another couple. Most obvious comparison to my previous visit was that although the waiting staff have improved quite a lot, there is still small room for improvement.
The quality of their food make this a must go to destination for fine dining in Malvern.
As a side note, it is interesting to note Urbanspoon reviews that put down Sagra, and are made by first time posters'???? Could these posts be covert post by local restaurant owners/staff in close proximity to Sagra , and that see their business threatened???

High quality dishes at a reasonable price. Sagra have the restaurant menu right, with reasonable sized servings and meals cooked/prepared to perfection. They just need to fine tune the pricing as some items are over-priced. I expect this will come as they progress.
The venue is not just a restaurant, but a multifaceted destination with the restaurant, art gallery and top level bar area.
Sure, there were a few hiccups on the second night of opening but all of the ingredients are there to make me overlook these and give it another try in a months time.
Excellent food and friendly informal service were the ingredients to a lovely Valentine's Day dinner. Will come again.
Just opened. Impressive space with a dramatic kitchen and spectacular top floor bar. Excellent Italian oriented food and wine list. Professional service. Significantly better than any of its competition in the Malvern / Armadale area.
