My go-to takeaway for dumplings. The food is pretty consistent, fresh and tasty with a good range of vegetarian options. The fried sliced rice cake and Singapore noodles are favourites.
Small Shanghainese restaurant on Waverley road. The business owner are very accommodating since we brought a 1 month old. They gave us a seat away from the air conditioning. The noodle and rice dish are mediocre. However the hot and sour soup is really good. I think they put some pickled vegetables in the soup which makes it unique compared to the normal version.
Love this place for a cheap and very casual meal. This is the kind of place where you don’t have to dress up and can relax and slurp your noodles happily! The dumplings and Shanghai noodles are our regular favourites. Been here many many times.
I usually get the fried veg dumplings. Can't speak much to the other dishes but the dumplings are great! In addition the delivery is usually speedy and consistent!
I had Uber Eats deliver pan-fried pork dumplings, pan-fried chicken and prawn dumplings, Chinese spinach and pork wontons in soup, and Shanghai fried pork noodles.
I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did my dishes arrive piping hot but they were actually really good!
The noodles had lots of veges and pork. A little too saucy but tasted delicious. They could elevate the quality of this dish by eliminating the canned button mushrooms and adding fresh shitake or wood ear mushrooms. The dumplings were crispy, fillings well balanced and were decent sized. The chilli oil sauce needs more kick for my liking.
Overall I would recommend this place for takeaway.
Send me all your dumplings. Godspeed, driver. Some chicken and prawn, some beef and some pork. It was a dumplings bonanza. Years ago, Your Dear Luncher ate in at Shanghai Taste and remembered it being OK (rating of 3). But this delivery absolutely smashed expectations out of the park. Just superb casings, fresh and perfectly constructed. Even the Little Luncher's got in on the act and there nearly were blows exchanged fighting over the last few.

Delicious!! Ordered through Uber eats 10 minutes before they closed and had my food at my door within that 10 minutes!! All the dietary requirements I had put into the notes was also followed perfectly and the food was delicious and the servings were really big!! Definitely will order again!!
Great dumplings and noodles. We usually have steamed pork and fried pork with shanghai fried noodles. Friendly service. Favourite with the family.
Best dumplings in the area. We lived close by and had dumplings every week. Never disappointed. We've now moved out of the area but make the drive anyway as they are so delicious!!
The fried chicken & prawn dumplings are THE BEST! Other winners included the Peking pork steamed dumplings, pork fried dumplings and Singapore noodles. Only dish not overly impressed with was the chilli oil wontons. Very bland.
