Nice simple cafe where you can get your giant pretzels, German breads and cakes, and a few sandwiches, and very creamy but tasty coffee.
Nice coffee and sandwiches. The staff are always friendly and the food is always fresh. The pretzel rolls are really yummy. Good place for a snack and coffee.
I would rate this bakery 5 star if your coughing staff had stayed home to rest today. Such a shame, food and drink were excellent and staff were all friendly. For her defence, she did cover her mouth but we couldn't bear to hear her cough every 20sec, it's terrible dine in experience, management should have sent her home.
The best Hazelnut Shake ever👌🏻 Suggested to us by our tour guide at Manly Beach area, so we dropped by try it out & trust me, we were not disappointed at all. Amazing chocolate brownie and shakes. Awesome coffee & very polite & friendly staff

My German side of the family would be happy with this find. Superb quiet and friendly cafe near the beach, a nice secret spot to enjoy a fresh pastry and read the paper away from the crowds. Good find.
I bought their 100% rye bread yesterday, and it was truly excellent. The gentleman who served me was helpful, fast, and very polite. I plan to try some of their other breads soon, and the coffee. The bread that is sold in most Australian supermarkets should not even be called bread, as the vast majority of this junk uses old ingredients (sometimes frozen for literally years), and is full of nasty stuff such as canola oil, tons of sugar and salt etc. We should support independent bakeries such as Brezel Bar because they are doing a great service, and their product is fantastic.
Good place to have a German snack. I am not a coffee drinker so I can't say any thing about this. However the Chai tea is great.

Incredibly good location to have a small casual outing. The brezels (which are like the German version of pizza bites) were very tasty and not too oily.
The coffee wasn't all that good - probably should have had a German beer instead - which stopped me from rating this higher.

Delicious, freshly baked pastries, breads and cakes. The kids love the bretzels but my fav is the bretzel croissant! Gorgeous German breads too! Meticulously clean.

Delicious pastries. Loved the normal and nougat nut croissants (I'm French) as well as the Pear and chocolate one. Good coffee. Great service. Would definitely recommend going there to start your day!
Vegan croissants!!! OMG, soooo good. Their bread and especially their German style rye are amazing. Super nice people to boot. It's a regular indulgence for me now.
Come for the sweets, stay for the savoury! We'd heard how amazing their cakes were, but over 10+ visits we found that their sandwiches are equally delicious. The pretzel sticks and pretzel croissants are by themselves worth a visit. Coffee is top notch too, brought my Italian mother-in-law here who has a very high standard and she was thoroughly pleased with their espresso quality.
We had iced coffee and a banana and walnut crepe. Both mouth -wateringly delicious. Not too sweet and though a little naughty, didn't feel heavy and sickly. Large assortment of German breads, cakes, strudels and danishes. Small, cozy and homely. Nice place to hang and relax. Nice treat 😊
Stopped in for breakfast but there weren't many options on the menu. We got the egg and bacon roll on fresh rye and it was amazing (and so cheap for $6.50!) The beautiful breadroll took this tuck shop staple to a new level. I would probably get it takeaway next time and go sit on the beach/wharf to eat it. We also ordered a pretzel because we figured it was a German place and so we might as well! It was really nice but if I order it again I would ask for it heated up.
Great German inspired food and real good coffee. Dog friendly, too.
Yum yum yum... everything is delicious here. Their bread is beautiful, try the rye seed, it is thick, filling and full of goodness. You cannot miss the beautiful smell of pastries and bread baking that goes on in this place, take the time to stroll by!
