Been here many times and it’s always a great, comforting meal. Roti is pretty good too, good to share between 2 as you’ll get quite full from it. Huge portions here.
😱Lizzie’s first impression: always my go to Malaysian restaurant, never a long wait and good food that feels like home.
🍩Lizzie enjoyed: their combination noodles are bomb and you really can’t go wrong with the laksa! They are delicious and has everything u need in it including eggplant and fish cakes!
🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: for those who are not familiar with highpoint it’s pretty hard to find as it is at the very back of the new food court area.
🥇Lizzie rates overall: I’m such a big fan of fast Malaysian food takeaway stores and I’m glad highpoint stepped up with the quality of restaurants.
Anyone who knows me, knows full well that I'm not a huge fan of food courts. Mainly because they are crowded, often messy and loud, and the food choices can be quite questionable. However, the newish Asian precinct on the lower level of Highpoint shopping centre is definitely a better style of food court. Plenty of seating, a decent decor and comfortable furniture, and some delicious food stores to choose from. I found myself here while out shopping with my daughter, and we decided to try the area for some lunch.
Roti Road smelt amazing, and the Malaysian food on offer looked pretty decent. I ordered a satay chicken roti wrap, and was quite impressed with this concept. Similar to a kebab, but using a roti instead of pita bread; the wrap was full of moist chicken, salad and an amazing nutty satay sauce. Extremely generous in size, and very tasty; I was surprised with how good the wrap was. The staff were friendly, and it didn't take too long for my order to be done. I also enjoyed that they bring the meal to the table for you, which makes it a step up from your typical food court. We will definitely return to try more of their delicious food.
