Consistently great fresh seafood !! The barramundi is always fantastic.
You have to try this. Cotton Tree Seafoods is one of the best kept secrets on the Sunshine Coast. The owner Steve Hardgraves who used to be a Chef at the Boatshed and See at Mooloolaba is joined by his brother Jason ex chef at See and they make the most amazing seafood meals. I often go there for lunch and steve will pull out a big snapper, cut me of a peice then char grill it. Then add a greek salad some homemade prawn cutlets and you have the best seafood lunch you could ever ask for. This grilled fish is as good as I have ever had anywhere. They sell a full range of hot & cold seafood.
On our last day on the sunshine coast we decided to walk along the beach in Maroochydore and grab some fish and chips.
We found this place on maps and thought we'd give it a go. Despite them being down to one staff member he did a great job handling the rush of orders that came in whilst we were there and we didn't have to wait too long for our meals.
We ordered a couple of fish and meals with drinks as well as some extra potato cakes and dim Sims.
Fish was fresh. Overall a decent lunch which we enjoyed sitting in the park on a sunny day.
Do yourself a favour and enjoy a takeaway / dine-in meal at this Fish n Chip shop. Great choice of fresh fish cooked to perfection (we had both grilled and crumbed) not to mention the potato cakes, calamari and decent serve of chips. In addition, the owner went out of his way to track down the beach items we had left in his shop 2 days prior - can’t thank him enough. Enjoy whatever you order there 😀
We were reluctant to try this place, but we decided to give it a go …. It was really good 👍🏻 the fish was cooked to perfection with a beautiful light batter the chips were cooked nicely too ..(even though we prefer thick chunky chips 😆 that’s preference only! ☺️ … if you are in Cotton Tree don’t pass this fish and chip shop !
This is one of those places that gives you great tasting fish & chips, not a great decor. It's an old style food outlet, great tasting food with politeness and a smile.
We really enjoyed our chips, but the crumbed Cod was fantastic, simply fantastic. You can also pick up your fresh Oysters, Scallops and assorted fish.

Huge serves of fish and chips. Next time we might share 1 serve and get some extras on the side.
