Review Shingle Inn - Maroochydore

We arrived to see all empty tables full of dirty dishes. It was a public holiday so our total was over $80 for 3 drinks and 3 dishes. All of our poached eggs were overcooked and even after a 3rd attempt at coffees, they were still undrinkable. It was the worst coffee we have ever been served. The young waitress was amazing but the staff member taking orders while making coffees was rude and unapologetic.

We didn’t come in with high expectations but I didn’t expect to be requesting a refund. Advertised camembert, served swiss? Both meals were dry, slapped together with low effort and the portions were ridiculous for the quality and cost. Andy’s service was the only decent thing in this cafe.

Ok rather than great. I had the goodness bowl and whilst the eggs were soft like I wanted, they tasted very watery. The mushrooms were cold. Wouldn't go out of my way to buy this again.

We r up visiting from Syd and found this cute little coffee shop on Good Friday, only 2 staff working and doing a fantastic job.. the young girl in sales and the barrister, the chef is also the waiter.. and yet served great food...

Appalling. Took my mum & grandma here for a high tea & if I could give 0 stars I would. For $30pp ($90total) we were given one bite sized sausage roll each, 4 bite sized sweets that were squashed, and 4 small soggy sandwich squares. The mint julep never came until we had to ask, the scones were never given to us which we forgot about till we left and a side biscuit I purchased was not given till asked for either. Average service. A regretful $99 brunch.

The worst coffee and cheesecake that I’ve had in a long time. Expensive and poor quality. Service was poor when ordering … the server was so disinterested and presentation of food was dreadful.

Food ok, poor service & over priced😡 Was not busy & ordered immediately but took over 20 min to bring out 2 drinks (1 drink wasn’t even right) & over 35 min to bring out 2 sandwiches. No hot chips as fryer not working…again. To be fair, appeared to be very understaffed.

Had quinoa salad....there was about 1 teaspoon of quinoa on there I felt so ripped off. I should have asked for some more that the guys that work there do not seem friendly. The girl that served us was very nice. Will never eat there again
