Review Roastville - Marrickville

Fi Shep
We are return visitors to this great little cafe and the food and service never disappoint. The falafel plate and chicken salads were yummy and you definitely can’t go past a side of the spicy fries! For those with limited ability there are some steep stairs at the entrance and street parking isn’t very easy. The cafe does have a chair lift, I suggest calling ahead to make sure that’s working. Highly recommend a visit and the coffee is also great.x

Came in for Sunday lunch, and first time impression is this is definitely a hipster spot, young, nice food and nice vibe. I'm a tea person so didnt take advantage of their coffee roaster there. Apparently they have coffee taster events. Food was on the small side but also affordable. I was definitely still wanting more after that plate. It was more like a sandwich with all those items laid down on a plate. Tea was in nice teapot. The place was tightly packed and quite noisy. Got better when large groups left. Staff could be friendlier with smile and more welcoming.

Excellent coffee, amazing food, great ambience and super friendly staffs. The cafe is my favourite in Marrickville. Every visit at this place is enjoyable. They also have coffee capsules which are compatible for Nespresso coffee machine. I’ll definitely come back to try more dishes on the menu. Highly recommended.

I loved the warehouse vibe, and the warm lighting was so welcoming from the rain today. Coffee was great, really unique brew that you can buy straight from the cafe (wonderful display by the way!) However, when a waiter listens to your order without noting it down, you always have that little niggle that they didn't catch what you said. Unfortunately they got our order wrong twice and had to keep trying again. Bit bizarre, recommend using a notepad next time please.

the coffee ☕️ is great and the food is delicious! the portion size is also generous and was very full afterwards 🥹 particularly enjoyed the dirty bird benedict as everything was well-seasoned, just make sure u have an empty stomach before you go 😂

I came here on a Sunday morning (peak hours), waiting time was a little long around 10min, but the exteriors kept me occupied while the wait. I ordered a dirty Benedict. It’s a oily fatty dish but quite delicious, it gives a sort of burger feeling at the end. Corn bread in this dish is heavily buttered, which is why it’s dirty. My mate ordered chill scramble eggs, which was delicious as well. The only thing I would recommend the cafe is that do NOT put the eggs on top of bread, because bread got soggy very quickly. Service staff was friendly but a lack of consistency. We were seated for a while until we got served some tap water. However, the couple sitting next to us got served water and coffee order straight away after seated. So final verdict: I recommend this cafe and I’ll come back to try another minced lamb dish.

Hands down one of the best soy sticky chai lattes in Sydney. I love how they brew the chai with fresh Spices instead of the powdered type. The soy milk was so frothy and delicious! I didn't even know you could froth soy milk that much. Also loved the ricotta hot cakes. Though, I'd recommend sharing this one, got a little too sweet for myself.

Roastville is a great go-to for coffee or brunch. I’ve been numerous times and enjoyed the crumpets, pastries, lemon meringue, and of course, the coffee! There are plenty of options for returning customers and the interior is spacious and homely.

Nice cafe, great coffee and good food. The lady who served us was lovely as well. The dirty bird Benedict is a must try!

Despite being quite a large cafe, you could easily walk past Roastville without ever realising it is there as the discreet entrance to the cafe blends in with its surroundings. As the name suggests, they roast their own beans and do a fantastic coffee, with the option of dining at a small outside terrace or lovely light flooded space inside.

I wasn't able to try out the coffee so I can't really comment on that but the karaage chicken burger I had was pretty good! As far as karaage chicken goes, it wasn't the best I've ever had but still nice but as a fried chicken burger it was pretty damn delicious! The cafe itself is quite aesthetic and really hits the millennial look if that's what you're into to.

Excellent cafe with coffee roasters in the background. Friendly service and good, honest food. Coffee tasted fantastic.

Garage style cafe on the main road with great coffee and food. Got the karrage chicken burger and cold drip, defs will be returning in the future.

Very friendly people running this excellent cafe. This place ticks all the brunch boxes. Nuanced food, gorgeous coffee and speedy service. Not to mention that their prices are the very reasonable. I wouldn’t hesitate frequenting this spot.

One of my favourite local eateries, I can't seem to stay away from it for more than a week. They've got a fresh, experimental menu and the presentation is always stunning. Always the first place I'll take my friends.

The avocado smash is the best I've had from absolutely anywhere. The serving size is large and they are generous with the dukkah and the pesto is a lovely accompaniment. I'm not usually a pancake person but the ricotta hotcakes are also fantastic and the presentation is otherworldly.

When I come here for lunch I usually get the karaage chicken burger which is also one of the best I've had at a cafe. My boyfriend got the kimchi waffles once and they were also pretty nice. Definitely an interesting menu, not just the same recycled items.

They've got an interesting selection of smoothies and the peanut butter lover is really something. Coffee has never disappointed me either.
Theeconomicfoodie
More realistically a 3.5 rating. I dined here on a Sunday morning for brunch. There was a queue but it moved quickly when we arrived and staff were efficient in getting people seated. We received menus and water promptly. I had the "peanut butter lover" smoothie which was delicious. It is made with crunchy peanut butter, dates and macadamia milk. For the main I had the "dirty bird benedict" but switched out the fried chicken for grilled. Eggs were cooked well and I liked the sauce however I found the sage and polenta slice underneath dry and underwhelming. The menu had some other interesting options as well that would be worth trying if you're looking for a lighter style brunch.

Fantastic house brewed coffee in a factory setting of the Main Street so no traffic to annoy you. The food is excellent with some combinations really working.
Sarah
Stumbled across this place in desperate times and it came through with the goods. I highly recommend the karaage chicken burger for a great hangover cure!

Hip space with fun vibe and very busy, clearly has a loyal client following.

Service a tad variable - some staff are great, know there shit and and just lovely. Others seem a bit new and unsure - so depends on who you get.

Coffee was smooth but a tad on the weak side for me.

Menu is one of the more creative around with a big influence from southern USA, lots of fried chicken on the breakfast menu.

The kimchi waffle with fried chicken was the standout dish for me, chicken and waffle was delicious and the spicy mayo had a great kick that made the whole dish pop. The chicken is super well done, so tasty and chunky real Chicken that somehow manages to taste healthy - could not detect much oil despite the fact that it’s clearly fried.

The Karrage Burger which my friend had raved about was disappointing. There was just so much salad and salad dressing in it that it quickly turned into a bit of a soggy mess. I think less would be more here.

After moving to Marrickville it took some time to find one, but this is my new favourite local café! Great coffee, yummy food, friendly staff and great atmosphere (music, heating, interior design!). Go check it out you won't regret it. :)

This area is still a bit industrial so it was interesting to find a nice Alexandria-style warehouse cafe. I had the scrambled eggs with chilli and veges mixed in with one large slice of good bread. Tasty but a bit of a rip-off at $17. The coffee was the big problem, though - it started off well, being strong, rich and creamy, but then came through with a bizarre flavour that seemed both sour and bitter. I don’t know how they managed it, although it’s hard to believe that it would be intentional.

(2.5/5.0) Roastville is a rustic industrial-like cafe in Marrickville. The spacious cafe occupies an old building in the middle of an industrial estate and features high ceilings with exposed bricks at the back and sides of cafe. There is a long share table with a giant plate of lemons (I wonder if I could get one) and smaller wooden tables to its side. The menu differs slightly from those usual offerings in the regular cafes with some contemporary twists and some fusion flavours.

I began my day, as usual, with a flat white. The premium single-origin grains from Costa Rica leave a deep and sensual impression on my tastebuds and the combination of espresso and milk is excellent.

My brunch, a dirty bird Benedict, comprises two poached free range eggs on polenta scones and served with two fried spicy chicken breast. Deliciously topped with the hollandaise sauce, the well-marinated breast meat was good, though chicken thigh would certainly increase this score to 3.5/5.0.

A beautifully airy, open warehouse feel of a cafe, its spacious and welcoming. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and orders are taken promptly and coffees and food arrives quickly. Coffees are well made and dense, just how I like it. Lots of delicious options to choose from and I love the classic avocado on toast and the mushroom bruschetta is delicious with a really good hit of balsamic flavour. Scrambled eggs are fluffy and creamy and the breakfast plate has a beautiful piece (not slices) of smoked salmon. The dirty bird benedict is so so good! Super juicy spiced chicken, perfectly poached eggs & spicy hollandaise (can be a bit spicier in my opinion). There is also colouring in and activities to keep kids entertained, a wall of coffees that they roast inhouse which you can purchase as well as sweet treats on display.

One of my favourite cafes, the staff are always so lovely and patient and the food is also amazing!! I don't drink coffee often but my brother and my sister's boyfriend rave about the coffee and they've tried coffee beans from a lot of different places but they always seem to come back to Roastville.

Meals I recommend:
- Infamous Kimchi waffles: A heavy dish for breakfast but it's unique combination of flavours and the bomb as fried chicken makes it so worth it. The rocket does help balance the dish but it's still too heavy for me.
- The Dirty Bird Benedict: nothing to say besides from it's amazing.
- Sous Vide Chermoula Chicken Salad: This is a perfect meal if you want something healthy, refreshing and filling, one of few salads I actually enjoy eating.

I have also tried the eggs Benedict with salmon and its still good but just not my favourite.

The only thing I would criticize the Roastville for is the lack of air-con which is not ideal on a very hot day.

It is so hard not to give these guys ‘5’ but I will update it on my next visit; if they are still consistent on making a great coffee and food, I sure won’t hold it back:) I am not a coffee expert but their coffee is top notch! Not only coffee itself, but the guy(I am guessing he is the owner) behind the machine, makes it perfect! Kudos to him and his team! Service is friendly and very attentive. Ambiance and atmosphere of the place is capturing if I may say so! Just calling you back to place.. and food! They care for their food as well, you can tell it from menu, but also once you see and taste it, you know they do care! I guess I will become their regulars soon:)

Second time / update: So I paid a visit to try their food as well

Beautiful and sotificated cuisine with the signature kimchi waffle. Must try with good portion 🤤 And I love their homemade chai. Wonderful 👍🏻

One of the best breakfast venues in Marrickville. The ambience is quite unique, roasting warehouse feel but with the coziness of plywood walls and mood lights.
The service is outstanding very attentive and always keen to smile and accomodate.
Then the food: can't speak highly enough of their menu and the freshness of their ingredients. All the classics are there (bennies, avo smash, waffles etc) but they all have beautiful twists. Really recommended!

Great atmosphere and very friendly service. The food was plentiful and yummy. Went for the first time and it is truly a cute brunch and the warehouse interior is one of a kind :) looking for nice brunch places to go with your girlfriends, this is the place to check out!!

I was introduced to Roastville by a friend some time ago and have happily continuously come back with others. Roastville offers a great selection of breakfast and coffee. The owners have always been very welcoming and easy to chat with. Although i dont have a photo of the dirty benedict, it is my favourite dish served here. Did i mention how good the coffee is?

I didn’t like how it was located between warehouses, nevertheless we decided to trek out to Marrickville and give it a shot. It looked like any of the other warehouses within its vicinity. We were seated towards the entrance side of the dining area. It was a bit crude that you could see the warehouse part from where we were sitting. There was a contrast between the dining area and the kitchen/coffee machine area as you can see in the images. Anyways, the service was good and responsive. We quickly decided from the menu because it had many quirky items that I would like to try.
The latte was above average, being fragrant and nutty. The food was slow despite the café was fairly empty. I ordered the banana hotcakes and it looked delicious. The hotcakes were fluffy and matched well with the other elements in this dish. My friend ordered the fried chicken and kimchi waffles, I must say this was an extremely adventurous dish and kudos to that. It was covered with cheese but I think it was an overkill to decorate it like that. I tried a bit but all I can that it was interesting. If I nearby, I would definitely try it again. I really enjoyed the creativity of the menu.

Have been here a couple of times and it's one of the best brunch places in Marrickville. The food is wholesome, you will struggle to pick what to order first and the serving size is on par. Coffee is great and you can't go past the sweet display without drooling. Today we tried the Breaky Bowl (with an extra poached egg) and the Sous Vide Chermoula Chicken Salad. Both great flavours but the poached egg was a little overcooked. Also had the Sour Cherry Crumble with our coffee's.
The only negative, as the area is quite a big space and seating quite close, it can be noisy. The couple next to us were having an inappropriate fight which you could not ignore and they even knew the manager/owner, which made it very uncomfortable, not just my table but others close by.
TheFatCouple
This place makes amazing coffees!

Their breakfast is pretty delicious as well!

Our favourite was the Dirty Benedict - it was like eggs Benedict with fried chicken, lathered in Harissa Hollandaise - super delicious!!!

Looking for a spot for great coffee, pastries and brunch all in the same place? Head to Roastville Coffee in Marrickville! The café has an airy, rustic converted warehouse feel with plenty of seating inside and outside, and staff were quick to lead us to a table. We kicked off our brunch with Detox Juice and a Super Slicker. It was a refreshing start, especially with the kick of ginger in the Super Slicker, which I would add to the Detox Juice as well!

Newish spot in Marrickville, just along from Bourke St Bakery and in an unassuming industrial area. Great cabinet selection of cakes and a varied breakfast menu. Their slow cooked lamb salad is always perfect, as is the dirty bird or the butterscotch pancakes.
Shane M McBain
These guys are the hangover doctors! Quick and friendly service, The dirty bird is a personal favourite which consists of poached eggs, fried chicken on a savoury muffin style base. Wash it down with a cold drip coffee.
The Weekend Foodie
We visited roastville during lunch on a saturday, the cafe was busy but we were quickly seated.

You have to be crazy to come here and not have their coffee... We are not big coffee drinkers, i often struggle to finish my coffee and prefer to pour it down my throat (yeh, thats no way to enjoy a coffee). Coffee here is different, its smoooooooth! We are no coffee experts but we are picky drinkers!

I had the avo smash with a poached egg and a side of salmon - the salmon was a good choice, it ended up being a bigger meal than sams brunch bowl! Oh and make sure to get one of their smoothies, green smooth is recommended if you are watching your waistline.

The highlight (apart from the amazing coffee) was the banana hotcakes. This sweet tooth is forever craving. Recommended to share this with a friend because the serving the in my opinion is generous for a dessert type dish.

Staff were super duper friendly, the cafe had a very casual and laid back environment- we sat on a communal table (i love communal tables) private tables are available also.

This is the perfect spot for brunch with friends!

If you haven’t already, you need to save 157 Victoria Street Marrickville into your GPS. Why you ask? Because once you have finished reading this, you will be racing to get to Roastville cafe in Marrickville ASAP. Located in Marrickville’s industrial area, right next to Marrickville Public School, Roastville has turned what you used to be an old warehouse, to a slick, funky café. Everything in the place has been carefully considered. From the wooden furniture and the lighting to the functional layout which gives it a clear edge ahead of any café you have visited in the inner west.
Thewhereto
This converted warehouse on Victoria Road Marrickville. It houses a cafe which a coffee enthusiast dreams about. There are a few outdoor tables as you enter from the street, then you move inside to a coverted warehouse space containing numerous bits of coffee paraphernalia. One counter where the awesome looking coffee machine sits with its see through outer case (and some amazing looking cronuts) and other coffee making devices are set up. Beyond this are a number of tables for you to enjoy a meal.

A terrific cafe in Marrickville, Roastville is located on a quiet street and there was plenty of free street parking when we arrived on Sunday morning. The cafe is large with high ceilings and an industrial rustic feel. We started with coffees and my skim cap was excellent. For food, we got the mushroom bruschetta and the eggs Benedict. The bruschetta was a large slice of sourdough generously topped with assorted mushrooms and a poached egg. It also came with sweet potato mash with a spicy harissa kick. The eggs benedict came with a delicious sliced ham on thick slices of brioche. Lots of oozy yolk porn and the hollandaise was rich but not overly buttery. Service was warm and professional, food came out pretty quickly. Roastville is definitely a winner.

Roastville is a huge cafe located in the industrial area of Marrickville. This place suits the area and has a very roomy and family feel to the cafe.

There are plenty of coffee options here, which is a very cool feature of the cafe. You can choose between your traditional espresso style or the very popular cold drip and pour over styles. We went with the traditional espresso and it was creamy and very smooth. For those who like a strong coffee then make sure you get the additional shot. When I come back I want to try both the cold drip and pour over.

The menu here has a diverse range of options. We ended up deciding on the Breakfast Board and the Infamous Kimchi Waffles with chicken. The Breakfast Board was not as good as I have had elsewhere and be prepared for the distinct flavor of the stone cold smoked salmon. It needed something else - possibly an avo smash or some kind of salsa to bring the dish to life.

The kimchi waffles were tasty and a refreshingly different breakfast. The kimchi waffles had that unique spicy flavour and were fluffy. The chicken was moist and crumbed well and worked well with the kimchi flavours of the waffles. I would order this again as it was balanced and something that is different to what you can find elsewhere.

This place is a unique cafe, with plenty of room for larger groups and families

Roastville is a funky cafe with a wonderful, chilled ambiance. The selection of food is flavoursome. The brioche French toast was light and fluffy and topped with lemon curd, raspberry sauce, almond praline and salted caramel ice cream. Couldn't get enough of it 😀. The banana hot cakes and Bircher muesli are both a must !! The coffee is outstanding and it's worth having some baked goods on the side while sipping away at your latte 😊. This wonderful place is highly recommended !!

Driving through Marrickville I smelt the aroma of coffee and literally let in direct me into @roastvillecoffee for lunch

Karaage chicken, Asian slaw, sriracha mayo and pickled daikon 🍔

It was nice in flavour, would have preferred thigh (I'm THAT guy) but I get venues hesitation. The snickers tart was probs best i've ever had. Check it out 😊👍
Great looking place with a nice ambience. Ordered the Dirty Bird Benedict though swapped over the poached eggs for scrambled. Loved all the elements of the dish though would have preferred it without the egg! Also tried the shakshuka with lamb - oh my what a flavoursome dish! Definitely ordering that next time!
Sal Eats Sydney
Had the chicken karaage burger and shakshuka for brunch. Coffee is good, but there was quite a wait for the food to arrive. Overall our food was pretty average. Potato fries were good though. Staff were friendly and prices aren't bad. The other menu items look good, so we'll give this place another chance. There are a range of sweets on offer as well. Their olive oil cookies are super tasty.

Beautiful food, great portion sizes and good value for money, and lovely coffee - highly recommended. The service was really lovely and prompt.

Discovered this place a little while ago and my cafe eye hasn't wandered since. It's got a warehouse feel (probably because it's in a warehouse) and seriously refined coffee that sends me loopy for several hours afterwards. Do yourself a favour and get the banana hotcakes with ricotta and caramel sauce. Everyone stares as it comes to the table and wish they'd ordered it. Despite not really being near anything they've developed a real following here and I can see why.

An unplanned visit to Roastville. I was in the area with the Hubby and decided to give it a go since a friend recommended this place to me :) He said their coffee and benedict was good. So went on a Saturday, the place was pretty hidden behind a high wall and the sign wasn't really clear ;P The interior was really exciting with all wooden chair and tables and they got a back area full of coffee sack, more like a warehouse kinda feel.
JMAC N CHEESE
Roastville is proper brewed coffee in an absolutely beautiful cafe. The dirty bird on the menu always cracks me up; you can even see where they roast the coffee which is pretty cool.
Thefoodbotherer
I came here for the hotcakes and boy were they worth the visit. The coffee is really good. Delicate with a kick. Love the space here and great music. The rest of the menu looks great so will definitely come back. Service with a smile.

What’s better than fried chicken and waffles? Fried chicken, waffles and kimchi. That’s right the kitchen at Roastville have taken the classic American dish and added a Korean kick. Before we dig deeper into the food and coffee, let’s talk about the decor. As you walk up the stairs of Roastville, you’ll find a sunny courtyard – perfect for a lazy Sunday brunch. If you prefer the indoors, then head inside the cafe for ample seating. The interior is brightly lit and matched with swathes of wood, creating a warm and inviting environment.

Last saturday we've been here,
We were ordered avocado mash and eggs benedict, really nice👍🏻👍🏻Lovely and
we got some coffee, their coffee so good👍🏻👍🏻.
Not disappointed, very nice place and quick served food.
This to be our favourite cafe.
Princess_Porky
Nice looking cafe, slightly warehouse style, set up at the front of their roastery. They roast their own coffee which is quite nice. Got the zucchini and potato fritter with tomato salsa and greens. Very nice with crispy edges and a creamy centre. Would have preferred crispy the whole way thru but the contrasting textures actually worked quite well. Friendly enough service.

Amazing new cafe in Marrickville. The soy latte is really really good. Beautiful wooden panels and great light for those who love to take photo of their food.

Very nice place. Serve Food quick, nice coffee, desserts are absolutely beautiful. Good place to have breakfast and lunch. Atmosphere is pretty good too.

Recent date of visit: 23 October 2015

Was attracted to this place for their fried chicken and kimchi waffle and was not left disappointed. Chicken was fried perfectly and waffle was cooked to my liking that I made myself finish it despite being full already. The cheeseburger was also top notch.

In a surge of new hip-hipsterish cafes popping up in the industrial streets of Marrickville, Roastville is leading the bunch with its own rendition of America's much loved CHICKEN WAFFLES. Yes. You heard right. CHICKEN. WAFFLES. Okay, so we've all heard, passed out to, and tried and tasted the bacon-pancakes-maple-syrup bombcombo, and if you haven't, yes you are missing out. So how about we swap the bacon for a 'healthier' protein - chicken (but deep fried of course), swap the pancakes for waffles, and drown with the maple syrup, we end up with something beautiful.
Tahn
Very new to the area but these guys seem to know what they are doing. Food are nice and what you expect when we had breakfast. Fresh and clean and the ambience is good. But the coffee is as good as anywhere, most important for me. Again just a happy eater not a want to be food critic, so please try it out yourself.

Love, love, Love! We went for the first time last weekend and have visited 3 times since.
Menu is inventive, and packs a punch with flavour. And The coffee is a real star, the kind that makes you smile when you drink it.
The restaurant itself is beautiful, you immediately feel relaxed and comfy when you sit at their communal dining table.
3/4 on our foodie dayyyyyyy ☺

Roastville Coffee. Still full from breakfast this was a coffee stop to again try the cold Drip hehehe. The cafe is awesome. Wooden panels and a long table in the middle of the cafe is a great concept of eating together.

The food looked awesome and the desserts. WOW! Outdoor seating and indoors was spacious and with the high ceilings and the sun light pouring in you felt calm and like you could sit for hours.

We had the cold Drip and the filtered coffee. Hadn't tried the filtered before so that was exciting and a very nice experience and their cold Drip was great too.

The customer service was the only thing that let them down a little. The staff weren't overly accommodating and attentive when you needed something but other then that it's a great place for a visit.

Coming back for the food for sure.

Located in a converted warehouse; Roastville is lighting up the competition with an Asian-inspired menu featuring kim chi, bulgogi and fried chicken along with classic breakfast dishes.

I'm a person of simple tastes. A trip to a really good market followed by a great cafe is my idea of Sunday bliss. So a beautiful spring Sunday in Marrickville, which started with a trip to the organic markets in Addison Road, and finished with lunch at Roastville was a little bit of heaven.
If you haven't been to the organic markets then you should definitely try them - they are foodie nirvana. Lots of small stallholders with amazing produce and great eats (having said that, it is on the alternative side so if you can't handle a little bit of grunge it may not be for you).
Anyway back to the business at hand, Roastville. We bounced in there feeling a little bit buzzy after our tastings at the markets and various other goodness, and joined the small but rapidly moving queue. I think we only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table - yah west julliet - and then we were seated with our eyes devouring the menu. There were lots of interesting and different choices, which made a nice change from the standard french toast and corn fritters fare.
My friend opted for the kim chi chicken waffle and i ordered the veggie sandwich. The kim chi chicken was 'ridiculously good' - I tasted a little and could only concur - and my veggie sandwich was also great. Eggplant, haloumi, tomato and mushrooms on sourdough made for a really substantial and delicious classic combination that hit all the right notes. The kim chi chicken was an explosion of flavour - one of those occasions where you can feel your tastebads doing a little celebratory samba in your mouth. So good.
Since Roastville is a specialty coffee roaster (with sacks of coffee in the warehouse adjoining the cafe to prove it) we also made sure to order coffees - espresso that had a hint of caramel and a creamy latte. I liked my latte but it didn't measure up to my Coffee Alchemy yardstick. Good but not touching greatness.
The layout and ambience reminded me of Melbourne, which is absolutely a good thing as I love the cafe scene there. And our waitress was really bubbly, fun and professional. All in all a great cafe and I mourn the day (alas probably not too distant) where a trip to Roastville will also mean a 1/2 hour wait a la West Julliet.

In the “coffee district” of Sydney; Marrikville right in the hub of an Industrial area lies a little gem, Roastville. Hidden away up a set of stairs where you will find a open aired courtyard, filled with your morning and mid day sun. Once inside you are greeted with a lovely planned out green tile and wood interior. Roastville is that perfect destination to enjoy delicious coffee aaccompanied by innovative and experimental breakfast and lunch meals and perfectly presented pastries and sweets.

Roastville has taken that classic to another level with their fried chicken and kimchi waffles ($17). The crispy crumbed fried chicken was delicious and juicy. It could do without the parmesan rocket salad but it was still nice even with it. As per John's advice, I was quick with my photo taking and digged into the kimchi waffles before it got soggy. It tasted like a Kimchijeon (Korean Kimchi Pancake), which was amazing!
Willxia1
Roastville roast their own coffee beans which makes their coffee unique from others, coffee is decent and taste was smooth.

The real standout for me was the food.
The fried chicken benedit, the chicken was freshly fried and tender but a little too much sauce drowning the other good stuff.

The bulgogi pork roll was nice and tasty but a bit too rubbery due to the meat to fat and skin ratio.
Each bite I took a bit of effort not to pull the entire meat out in one go. Hoping my next visit, my roll will be a bit meatier.

I love waffles! Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, sweet or savoury version.. They basically go along with everything in this world! Waffles FTW.. LOL! So when I hear there's a relatively new cafe in Marrickville and I see that glorious word, WAFFLE, on the menu.. There's nothing in this world can really stop me from going there ;D

Everything about this place was great! There was a queue for tables when we came but we didn't wait long for a table. Coffee was amazing. Food was outstanding! Ordered the dirty bird benedict and salad. Generous servings and the chicken was very moist. Will come back again for the chicken waffles!

We came back for the waffles but they sold out. Instead we ordered the beef cheeks and RV Club sandwich. The beef cheeks were soft and melted in the mouth. But it was very salty and the serving size was small. A bit disappointed since the other dishes were so generous in size. The chips were also very disappointing since they were not crispy at all.

Will our humble Inner West suburb of Marrickville ever feel the fatigue of having too many coffee roasters? I mean, how many are there within the boundaries of 2204? At least five, I’m sure, so the more the merrier I say. Quite often when I’m at St Peters station I notice the smell of coffee being roasted; wafting from somewhere about a kilometre away in Marrickville. The problem is you just don’t know who’s responsible for it.

Good coffee, service and food! Nice little hidden gem before it becomes the next corner smith or the grounds....
I came here after seeing @bnfcoffee and @limbuccino come here the other day... Omg .. It was so good! The decor is fresh and the service is very attentive. The coffees are lovely and I smashed a bacon and egg roll like it was like my last meal on earth LOLs
