We were lucky enough to eat here for FCBA’s 4th Annivesary. A large space perfect for groups and they offer fresh and tasty modern Australian food. We loved the pizzas, especially the burrata and also the anti pasti board.

I dined here as a guest of the FCBA 4 Year Anniversary event.  We were lucky to try a spread of the restaurant's menu. We started off with a series of share plates including the following:
- smashed pea and avocado mezze - i feel like peas are such an underrrated vegetable but this dish really made them shine.
- farmer's platter (meats, bread, burrata, olives, pickles) - big fan of a grazing plate and this had all the goods. burrata was creamy, plenty of meat served and crunchy pickles
- pumpkin hummus - a nice twist on the traditional hummus. Good level of spice.

For the mains, we enjoyed a selection of pizzas, pasta and charcoal chicken from the menu
- burrata pizza - pizza is already brilliant but putting burrata on it as well, genius.
- blue swimmer crab pasta - good punch of flavour and i liked the addition of fennel to the dish
- pasta with zucchini - a surprisingly creamy dish, good flavour but not my top dish.
- marinated butterflied chicken - so so juicy and served with some very flavoursome garlic sauce

We also got to try the farmhouse soft serve ice cream. My favourite flavour was the matcha green tea.

Overall, I really enjoyed my time at Butcher and the Farmer. The space is quite big so a good option for a function with the restaurant orientated towards the waterfront. The only thing i'd be mindful of is parking in the area is a bit limited.

The FCBA Community’s 4th birthday celebrations were held at the newly opened Butcher & The Farmer in Meadowbank and what a feast it was. The food was fresh, delicious and obviously made with quality seasonal ingredients. The highlight for me were the pizzas. The pizza bases were fautless: soft, perfectly charred and the toppings were creative. My favourite was definitely the Burrata Pizza (pictured) and I am looking forward to returning.

Please note I dined as a guest of the FCBA Community.

#invite We came to the Butcher and The Farmer Meadowbank to celebrate the fourth birthday of FCBA community. It also coincided with the 2-month anniversary of the restaurant! Butcher and The Farmer Meadowbank has a pretty different concept than the one in Tramshed. Instead of the upmarket style, this one is geared more towards the casual dining with predominantly Italian influence.

I've been part of the Food Critics and Bloggers Association (FCBA) for a number of years and so when their 4th year anniversary came up - I was excited to celebrate with the fellow community at venue Butcher and Farmer in Meadowbank. . Butcher and Farmer is most well known for their Glebe Tramshed venue however they now have opened up in Meadowbank in a huge space.  It's surrounded by many apartment buildings. We had a function here and it’s a lovely airy space as a venue. It’s an offshoot from their original Tramsheds location. The staff here are friendly and efficient.

We had an area booked out for us and it more than enough space for us to relax and hang out. They had a central table set up for the food and worked quite well. To eat we had a selection of their menu including their Smashed Pea + Avocado, Farmer’s Platter, a selection of the wood fired pizzas, pastas as well as their Rotisserie Chicken and sides. The highlights were the really well made pizzas with a nice amount of topping on the thin bases. The flat breads were also really tasty. Chicken was one of the most tender and succulent I have had in ages. I also really enjoyed the self serve soft serve machine with a range of flavours including vanilla, chocolate, mint choc-chip & matcha green tea. Very creamy and flavoursome.

It’s definitely worth a visit here.

Haven't heard of this venue until I was invited to attend a lunch to celebrate a friend's First Holy Communion, what a nice surprise. I love the bright and spacious table and seating layout, we were allocated a table near the entry next to the windows and it was just perfect for brunch/lunch. I like the little touches such as live music - it definitely adds to the vibe! Staff was nice and accommodating, had an enjoyable time and meal overall. Happy to return some other time to try out other items on their menu. One tiny downside is that because its located among apartments parking can be challenging. Try and get there early to nab a parking spot on the street (if you're lucky enough).

Food is great and the place is a big one with ample seating space which is a big plus during these times.. the pizzas are great but the ravioli I ordered was okay. You might face some problems with parking as the curb side parking almost always full there is a empty area at the start of the street which might be worth checking. This might be a small good place for a group lunch or dinner as they have long tables for 6 to 8 people.

A great place to catch up with friends and family especially with you have a large groups. The food is good too. Pizza and lamb shanks were good. I tried Spaghetti Gamberi but it was not good. I have had Gamberi way better and more delicious than the one served here.

This is a lovely restaurant in the foreshore of Meadowbank. A great place to catch up with friends and family. The restaurant is very modern and spacious, and a very good ambience. The pizza and pasta was very good but a bit on the pricey side, but very authentic and tasty. Would recommend.

The place is one of the better ones in the area. Though clearly understaffed right now, the staff always serve you in the best way. The food options are alright and taste in 4/5. Would be back here soon. The house wines are pretty decent too.

Amazing food, and great service. Good range of cocktails too. A bit pricey, but definitely worth it. Will come back again soon.

Quiet environment and a good place for people with disabilities with a variety of delicious foods, but staff should be more careful in their behavior
