The place is beautiful. Very comfortable seats, and a breathtaking view to the Blue Moutains.
I appreciated the fact that they offer different High Tea options. We chose the Eastern High Tea, which had more savoury options than the traditional High Tea.
The food was really good and fresh.
They served a nice glass of Pol Roger champagne which was nicely chilled.
I also chose the lemon ginger tea, which was Ok. The coffee wasn’t great though.
A jazz band was playing some mellow tunes in the background, which set the mood and added to the nice experience.
I really enjoyed it.
The Wintergarden High Tea is sublime. Service is impeccable, restaurant immaculate, and food to die for. The staff were more than willing to accommodate special dietary needs (gluten and dairy free). Highly recommend the Asian high tea and the Charlie cocktail. Or the champagne option.
The mountain range view is simply amazing as is the elegance of the Wintergarden. It certainly is befitting for a high tea. Brandofay organised a special birthday message to be written on my high tea tier so that made it extra special for me.
The highlight of the high tea was the savoury salmon & raisin scone. The other items were average. The let down was service. For an opulent venue, the service was not fine dining. One person's tea or high tea tier always didn't arrive & we had to chase it up. Also, i thought it was a little too crowded to be truly relaxing.
The high mark is for the view & elegance of Wintergarden and of course enjoying my birthday celebration with @Brandofay.
