It was a little unsettling at first as your eyes get used to the dark but I absolutely loved it. The food was delicious and our host Callan was great. Completely worth it! It’s a great opportunity to disconnect and enjoy something different. Definitely recommend it!
The vegetarian and vegan option dishes were amazing! I couldn't have guessed any of the food but everything was delicious and the waitstaff were amazing in particular Gift was lovely and so helpful. A great outing!
Received a gift voucher for this restaurant and we were very apprehensive, feeling this would be a useless waste of time. How wrong we could have been. Not only were we pleasantly surprised with the standard and quality of the food, which was very high, but we had such a fun time in the dark. Getting to know our table partners in the dark was exciting as indeed was trying to guess what we were eating which they did inform us at the end of the evening. Also a very different experience trying to eat what you can't see with or without utensils - a good thing nobody could see us. The most important mention must go to our blind guide/waitress, Margaret, who made us feel very relaxed and comfortable with a wonderful sense of humour and ease. Over all we surprised ourselves with how quickly we went from apprehension to laughing and having a good time. For something different and a very unique experience that also offers insight into another world one can not go pass Dans Le Noir?

I’ve heard of Dans Le Noir for a while and haven’t had an opportunity to visit yet but when I finally found some fellow friends that wanted to experience it with me, I made a booking and locked it in Eddie. Now if you don’t know anything about Dans Le Noir, it’s basically dining in the dark. You can have three course for $89 or a 5 course for $119 and no, you won’t know what you’ll be getting.
A group of us went to Dans Le Noir last weekend. No real idea what it would be like. We knew we would be eating in the dark .. but don’t think we realised how dark dark is. Restaurant staff were fantastic from the beginning. There were 9 of us going and Chloe couldn’t have been more helpful with assisting with the booking, and checking us in on the night.
Very interesting experience, dine in the dark, you won't know what you had till the end, the waitress was great, very friendly service. The food can improve though.
Bucket List Experience!
Now I’m a big foodie! And this of course has been on my bucket list for some time. And now it’s been ticked off!
The food itself is good, but in the end, it’s the experience I loved the most! The walk into the restaurant, pitch black, people linked shoulder to shoulder and seated at the table.
It’s dark! I mean really dark! Your sense of taste and especially hearing is heightened. The conversation at the table is flowing and the anticipation of the next meal is exhilarating!
An experience that is a must for all foodies alike.

Dans le noir provided such an amazing and unique experience. Getting to experience how the blinds feel for a few hours is really eye opening. See what I did there? But seriously, it was definitely worth trying.
Margaret, who is visually impaired, was our server. She was so lovely and did such an amazing job.
The food was really good as well. We went for the "surprise me chef" option. We don't want to spoil your fun so we won't say what we had. But all the dishes were top notch. They change their dishes every few months or so. Thus, you won't be having what you see in our photos.
The only things we didn't like were it was crowded and noisy. It seems people tend to talk louder when they lose their visions. I could hardly hear my partner.
But overall, we had a great time and highly recommend it.

Just one word to describe the experience: AMAZING!!!!. Will definitely do it again. Delicious food, incredible wine and exquisite desserts are some of the things you will find in this place.
Amazing sensory experience! The food is delicious and the staff is absolutely wonderful! The conversations you can have with the people around you are a lot more genuine and honest. I am definitely coming back and would highly recommend it!

They charge a lot of money compared with the food quality. At the end they show you photos of what you have eaten. It looks way more refined on the pictures than what you actually eat.

Exquisite food, incredible staff that take care of you all the way through the dinner and well before the day. You rely on the rest of your senses to make up for not being able to see which enhances your taste of the food- you actually can’t see your hand in front of your face. And make sure you don’t wear anything that produces light because it will ruin it for you and others!
This is not an experience to be missed, get yourselves into this restaurant!
I had the pleasure of taking eight of my extended family to Dans le Noir and it was a fantastic and memorable experience. The staff are the highlight but the food was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was happy to cater to my family's complex dietary requirements! Our hostess, Margaret was quite perfect, she was friendly and had a wonderful sense of humour . Thank you for a great experience.
My Fiance and I had such an amazing night dining in the dark for our Valentines Day date. The food was great and the experience as a whole was one we definitely won't forget.
I would like to make a special mention that above all else, we left talking about how great the staff were! Georgina and Jenny were so helpful and were definitely not afraid to stop for a chat to answer all of the questions we had and even a few great stories whilst still being completely professional.

Words can't describe what an amazing experience this was, Marco was our waiter and I cannot express enough how amazing he was. He was so calm and collected in the pitch darkness and he was serving food and drinks at the same time. The rest of the staff were fantastic as well. This is an experience that everyone should do at least once! Would reccomend this to absolutely anyone!
Had a fantastic experience here. All of the food was delightful. The flat bread with the house dip was amazing. The service was also brilliant. When they ran out of the wine I requested one of the staff went and bought a new bottle.

I felt very comfortable and safe in the dark. We had the 3 course meal with paired wine and beers. The food and drinks were not out of the ordinary but nonetheless very delicious and satisfying.It was a lot of fun exploring our surroundings and food. We found dining in the dark really does intensify your other senses!!
Our guide Callan was super lovely and always ready to answer questions and ready for a chat. I also think its great that Dans Le Noir creates job opportunities for the vision impaired.
