Our delivery arrived on time last night for Father’s Day. Lamb and prawn dumplings were true stand out! We ordered individual items instead of the banquet. Way too much food. Kim chi was not the best we’d had. I’d give the $6 Kim chi a miss. $4 peanuts were great starters! Thanks Providoor for the delivery.
Ordered on door dash. The fried chicken was amazing. Extremely crunchy and juicy and not oily at all. Eaten with the pickle cabbage it really cut down the heaviness of it. Dumplings were meh. Usually better when fresh in the restaurant. Mouse was good. And noodle salad pretty good. Xinjiang lamb was very nice but Maybe needed a bit more spice. Would prefer if the cumin chutney was separated rather than together with the lamb. although my take away experience was okay, I've been here many times and food is always good.
Second visit to supernormal & I’ll be back! Food was very high quality, reasonably priced & with a lot of flavour. The courses were well spaced out which I very much enjoy. Assistance with the menu was also lovely. Recommend!
I've always wanted to try @supernormal_180 and I'm so happy that I can finally tick this one off on my list. A lot of people raved about the New England Lobstar Roll and oh my goodness, it was definitely worth the hype. I'm generally not a fan of lobster (crab > lobster) but the lobstAr roll was without a fail, the star of the night 🦞🌟 I loved that we were sat down at the bar seating area but the service was below my expectations 😞⠀

Trendy Asian fusion restaurant amazing atmosphere and make sure to come in early to get a table by 6.30 p.m the restaurant was full. We started with a raw Tuna with smoke soy, Kombu & chilli oil, this was amazing, followed with a lobster roll, which was buttery and rich in lobster, Chicken n prawn potstickers were great and had an amazing chilli vinegar sauce to accompany the dish. My personal favourite was the braised beef n fermented chilli beef buns, this is a must-try dish.
The slow-cooked Szechuan lamb with sesame bread n coriander paste was melting in the mouth.
This is definitely a great restaurant

The combination of distinct Japanese flavours along with Hong Kong and Shanghai cooking is what makes this restaurant exceptional 😋
The flavours, cooking styles and ingredients are well in tuned to create a special experience. In fact, I found this to be my new inspiration for my future cooking 😊.

Supernormal’s menu echoes the space: clean, modern, elegant and just a little bit sexy.
This Asian-inspired laneway eatery is anything but normal. Designed for sharing, the menu offers an array of tapas style dishes and mains, catering to plant based and gluten free requirements, plus a ‘raw bar’ featuring fresh tastes of the sea.
The service? Outstanding. Our waiter was extremely helpful in her recommendations and accommodated our dietary requirements. I don’t know how the staff managed to pull this off during peak dining time, but the second we finished each plate it was replaced with the next dish. Little touches like complimentary tamari roasted pumpkin seeds make this place feel anything but normal.

Dined at Supernormal for a birthday lunch and we had banquet 1; the selection of dishes was pretty good! We loved the tuna, it melts in your mouth. The cold noodle salad was tasty and refreshing and I can rave about the lamb shoulder for ages! The meat was tender and so delicious! The marinated clams were underwhelming, but they were fresh so that was a positive. The most underwhelming part was the additional lobster roll we ordered (people had recommended it). If I'm honest, it was very normal, still yummy but didn't stand out. I wouldn't have it again.
It was all very filling aka good value for money. To end the meal, the dessert which was a salted caramel parfait was delightful! Overall a lovely experience with exceptional and highly attentive staff. We were thoroughly impressed with the venue and the team. Will have to go back to try other dishes!
Was slightly sceptical of Supernormal but having tried it, I can say it’s worth the hype. Though the space is been around a while it somehow feels timeless. The menu is quite varied and everything I tried from it was very good - especially the veg dumplings and the prawns. Cocktails were also very nice.
Came down for a Melbourne trip and booked a number of venues for the trip. Hands down the best meal of the trip.
Clever decor, thoughtful layout ad fit out and surprisingly good acoustics.
Cocktails were exceptional and tasty, wine list well priced and paired nicely. Staff helped with wine selection.
Food was incredible, tasty, delicate flavours and worked so well together. The lobster roll was 10/10 delicious, expensive but. Worth. Every. Cent.
Service was exceptional, nicely attentive without being intrusive, casual but not familiar. Excellent recommendations both with food, the wine and for a drink afterwards.

At first I found the name of this place a little strange but after experiencing it, it completely makes sense. Everything had a normal feel to it but everything is super nice! Staff, food, atmosphere, comfort - everything! Food came out at the perfect time between each dish(and the place was busy), I ate a lot over lunch but didn't feel exhausted for the rest of the day(huge tick!). 100% worth a visit.
6 of us had the $80 banquet and added the lobster rolls, worth every cent we were all filled to the brim. Our waiter Steven was gorgeous, attentive, took photos for us as it was my daughters 21st. Food always 1000/100, every mouthful bursting with flavour
