This place is absolutely crazy.... Service, quality of food, atmosphere; it’s all top notch đŸ€­đŸ€€ The views are amazing. I love how they take you into the kitchen to take the oysters and show you the food being made in person; definitely feels more personal!
Your taste buds will explode with all sorts of flavour in every dish!

I took my sister here for her 30th birthday a few months ago for something really special and memorable, and the entire experience was perfect. The views are amazing and the staff make you feel special without being stiff or overly formal. We loved the experience of being able to go into the kitchen to have oysters to kick things off, and the presentations of each dish was exciting and made the meal not just mouth-watering but an entire immersive experience. The wine was equally delicious and matched perfectly with the dishes. We booked for an early dinner to watch the sunset and topped off the meal with a drink in the bar next door which was the perfect wrap up. Certainly easy to see why this is considered one of the best restaurants in Melbourne!

Elegant sophisticated cuisine with native Australian ingredients. Chefs tasting menu consisting of 10 courses and costs was $310 per person The winning dish for me was the Avacado, kingfish with wasabi, snow. It was a theatrical food experience. Definitely a must-try restaurant

Excellent choice for any special occasion. We were there during our honeymoon with birthday around the corner. Kudos to all the waiter and waitress. Especially to Jessica and John.The unsung heroes beside all the chef with their amazing food. Making our visit here truly memorable. Amazing food!

On the 55th floor of rialto building, this is elevated dining in every sense. The decor is avante garde, the staff wearing some designer garb, and most speak with french accents (like Dinner by Heston).

They have 2 degustation menus and we opted for the longer one. All the dishes are very good to excellent, and though gimmicky, there are some interactive courses like making your own hotdog, or pounding your own herbs. Also appreciated they allowed my partner to substitute 2 desserts with 2 savouries at no extra charge. The last course was cheese and though i see 10-20 varieties and they said “we’ll give you a bit of everything”, they self selected 5 without really us choosing

we dined on a public holiday and had to pay 15% extra. No wonder everyone wants to work in australia

Seriously incredible. Vue De Monde is and has been a Melbourne institution for over 20 years, in this time they have continued to edge closer and closer to perfection. This is heavily reflected in all possible aspects of the dining experience. The venue, the staff and of course the food. It isn’t often that you’d find an experience as experienced as this one. An absolute must for anyone who takes their interest in food seriously. Nothing short of breathtaking.

My initial thoughts in joining my son for lunch was this is going to be an expensive afternoon. By the time we left I was so blown away I felt that I should be paying more. Not that I want to encourage that 😃 but seriously this was the most amazing dining experience I’ve ever had. There was nothing that was over looked. The food was just sensational every bite of every course was just incredible how well it worked. There were many little extras from the oysters before the degustation started to the sweets before dessert out on the balcony. The tour of the kitchen the photo with the entire chefs staff. I could just go on and on but if you appreciate fine dining and you’ve not been you need to treat yourself.

Hats off to all the staff for such a memorable experience

I was lucky enough to dine at Vue de monde as a surprise birthday treat, and was blown away by the quality of the care, service and food. I am no stranger to fine dining, with my partner and I loving the experience from time to time for special occasions... but I can say with confidence that Vue de monde truly takes you on a culinary journey worth their price point.
From the service of the staff as you first enter their ground floor entrance, to the care and attention you receive throughout the meal, there is no flaw to be seen.
We went with their chef tasting menu on this occasion, and we started with oysters being opened, cleaned and then served in front of us by a chef in their kitchen. The accompanying house-made sauces were different, exquisite, and complemented the oysters beautifully. From then on we had a dish of caviar, sea urchin and bunya bunya; cured kingfish with avocado and wasabi dust; mud crab; flatbread with specially cultured house-made butter; beautifully cooked marron in a “curry” sauce; sea parsley sorbet to cleanse our palate; cured kangaroo with asparagus and wild garlic; a saddle of lamb with pea and seaweed for the main; followed by cheese and condiments; a barney banana and kelp icecream; chocolate souffle; whole celeriac with grapefruit and finger lime; then finally finishing with a charming tin of an assortment of house-made Australian biscuits.
What a journey it was! I can definitely say that every course showcased and highlighted the Australian ingredient beautifully.
If you are celebrating a special occasion, or looking to treat yourself to a “different” maybe once-in-a-lifetime dining experience, I can confidently recommend Vue de monde and say you will not be disappointed.

Can definitely understand why this restaurant is ranked so highly. I was taken here for my birthday and absolutely loved the experience. The depth of flavour in every dish was amazing and loved the rustic yet elegant feel of the restaurant. Would definitely come back again!

We came to celebrate our anniversary here today, it ended up with happiness ❀ We chose the chef signature course, well.... it’s impressive, delicious and marvellous. We felt it’s worth the price we paid, 10 tasting course, we were feeling full and satisfied. We ordered champagne too, too bad we drove or else we could order wine to pair with the food.
This is a great experience, get ready to have bud explosion when you come, we love the way that we dont know what will be served next!

We would like to visit again, can’t wait to go again!

We went to celebrate my 25th birthday and wow what an experience! I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone for some of the dishes we experienced through the degustation. I was not a fan of the cured kangaroo meat but the chocolate soufflĂ© was to die for. Everything was well presented and well explained. Along with fantastic service and great views, it made going to Vue de monde one of the most interesting and memorable experiences I’ve had dining in Melbourne. I also loved the take home package they give you at the end of dinner! A great little gift to really make it a memorable dining experience.

After came back from my birthday culinary trip in Melbourne, I was busy at work and could not steal any time to write the review for my second dining experience in this high-end restaurant. There are totally five restaurants running from one to three chef hats that we visited this time. They are Mo Vida Aqui, Matteo, Lee Ho Fook, Amaru and this restaurant. 
Being arranged to be the place for my birthday dinner, expectation was set very high. We do not think there be any let-down happened but would like to explore what has been changed since our first time visit over four years ago. 
Compared to last time, degustation has been set for the number of courses instead of up to the diners’ decisions from 5 courses onward. Not sure if they had on-alcoholic matching last time but this should be third restaurant (the first two are the Brae and Momofuko) that we decided to go for non-alcoholic drinks matching. 
Sitting at the table near the window and over-looking a spectacular view should be an extra bonus. What we found that the major change this time is the interactive between chefs and diners. We were led to the kitchen to start our first course having interactive with a young handsome chef who souks for us the oyster with the choices of four dips. It is your own choice of how many oysters that you like to have (what a generous start and offer!). Then we went back to the table and further theatres have been arranged including serving the butter with home-made bread in an antique-like barrel, grilling sausage for DIY hot dog, making your own dish for palate cleansing and back to the kitchen for charcoal grilled marshmallow.  
Overall, the appropriate non-alcoholic drinks really match with all the dishes in this degustation. We do appreciate the interactive activities. Again, we could not find any flaw here. Being very picky, we prefer to have the previous soufflé instead of the rich chocolate flavour (just personal choice) but I suppose the new one may satisfies other chocolate-lovers more Lol! Cheers!

One of the Top 5 restaurant on my present list. I have a marvellous dining experience in this restaurant. Ambient, privacy, service and quality control are all impeccable. Price is fair and up to your own choice of how many dishes for the night. Every dish has been carefully design and prepared. I have to mention the butter that they sourced is the best so far I have tried. The unforgettable souffle' makes me habitually order the same dessert in other restaurant in order to compare the fine-prepared one at Vue De Monte. Thank you, Shannon.

An awesome experience is about to begin. just to know you are about to be wowed by something extraordinarily different with an element of surprise was enough to excite ones taste bud desires. You know your experience is going to be good, but how good is unknown. If you think you’ve had good service than think again, this place is next level. The service is impeccable, theatrical and out of this world. The view of Melbourne is stunning. The food is outstanding. We had the eight course degustation... Wow Wow Wow! So many taste bud explosions... what can I say... a must try for yourself to experience the awesomeness they offer.

Understated perfection. From the first Dom Perignon bubble that bursts on the tongue to the final toasted marshmallow that chases after it, this is a dining experience you'll retell for years to come.

Every course was creatively Australian. The essence of a culinary expose decrying our childhood memories: charred damper over an open bush fire washed down with Billy tea, sea urchins, oysters, Marron. These dishes withstood our nostalgically lofty ideals, and some.

While the degustation crystally focussed our thoughts on the food, the waiters performed a choreographed collection and delivery of plates and cutlery. Unnoticed until one has an unmet need, and then nothing is too much effort.

A year old review...Food wise is what you would expect from the price tag, and as far as it goes for me, everything went well. Excellent food and choices of wines to go with, and the price made sure to reflect that. Great view out of the windows, and you don’t necessary need a table by the windows to enjoy that. Definitely a place reserved for special occasions, unless you live a celebrity lifestyle, then just relax and enjoy, just make sure to reserve ahead! Walked away with small giveaways which is a nice gesture too~

My partner booked Vue de monde as a surprise for my birthday, I’m a bit of a Shannon Bennett fan girl! The entire experience was amazing. From entering the restaurant, the service, the table we had (we were along the window right in the middle, so we could see everything, and the FOOD! I have a shellfish allergy, and they catered to me by asking what kind of foods I preferred, which was a lovely option to have! I couldn’t fault a single thing, everything was everything I could possibly hope it would be! The food was well paced, so we weren’t panicking every time we saw a plate leave the kitchen. My partner needed to help me with my dessert, I started struggling to find room despite my ‘dessert stomach’. You definitely won’t leave hungry.. which I have been after a degustation when the portions were tiny. It’s worth the money, 110% worth the money! Everything was perfect. One day we’ll be back!!!

Intimate and cosy place especially for a special occasion that is as memorable as the beautifully crafted meals prepared to tantalise the senses and delight the eyes. Truly an epitome of fine dining and gastronomy. Top class service and beautiful wines to accompany and complement the dining experience. Love their morning after take away bags too to prolong the memory of a special night of the day before.

I'm going to spend my birthday at the best restaurant in Melbourne and my friend told me that Vue de monde is a three Michelin stars restaurant. So I decided to give it a try。

It's on the 55th rooftop and the environment with 360 view is quite good. We can scan sights of Melbourne.

We were served by almost seven waiters who are polite.

It must be the 16 delicate courses that amazing to me. I'm lovin  the oysters with caviar and the lobster.

It was a wonderful experience and I will visit it again.

Dining with a view of Melbourne is a must. Degustation was amazing although I enjoyed the previous venue with the theatrical display of the food. The food now is focused on Australian local and native produce with sustainably kept in mind. Pricing is in the usual high end of this calibre of dining. Would I dine here again, not so sure but if a sensory style of dining was offered then I'll probably consider.

Finally made it here for a meal with my partner after she had been asking to go for years. I'd been to the bar a few times, which was always great though expectedly overpriced.

Our meal was fantastic and we both very much enjoyed the Chefs Menu. It had a cheeky take on Aussie meets modern fusion cuisine.

But it wasn't five stars. Why- price vs competition. We both agreed we had better food and a more enjoyable dinning experience at some other venues in the city (probably reviewed on here) for half if not a third of the price.

The excess in price was as noticeable ad the excess in waiting stuff. Just seemed over the top. Service was great, but you could feel the arrogance of the hospitality staff. Hard to speculate why, but I put it down to the fact the clientele are predominantly nouveau riche tourists with little knowledge or appreciation for their meal -other than the wow factor.

Altogether the experience felt a little soulless. Guess it's what you pay for, disappointing as that is.

A special occasion dining experience. The food seemed to be a little too tailored to the overseas tourist as it was a little too Australiana for my liking (eg. vegemite croissant damper), but it was theatrical and creative. I prefer a more intimate dining experience, so the massive tables for 2 ppl, I didn’t like, but we sat on the same side so we could actually sit within 1 metre of each other. Service was impeccable.

Decided to take my best friend and her husband to Vue de Monde to show them what a fine dining experience is. It was the best decision I have ever made! Booked for the full degustation menu and we walked out as happy kids!

The location and view of Vue de Monde was already wowing. I have been to Lui bar several times and had a Christmas function here but the food at Vue de Monde degustation experience is legit next level good!

I had a rose to start with, the only complain is theres no price on that, I know when I am spending $300+ a head I should not complain about $45-65 a glass of champaign but when I saw the bill that was still a little bit of shock.. Ordered several cocktails as well and they were all super nice! Nothing to fault for!

So it started. I don’t really remember every single dish so you can just have a look at the photos. All of the dishes were extremely pretty, well balanced flavour and super creative. My favourite ones were the croissant, the sea urchin, the Marron, the hot dog. The kangaroo with baby corn was definitely best of the best dish out of all the savoury one. The duck on the other hand is probably my least favourite for the whole night, a bit plain and dry. 

So many cheese to choose from their little cheese cart. Desserts were even better! That marshmallow thing omg, who came up with that idea, absolutely brilliant!! The mango dish and the Souffle were both absolutely stunning as well made it a perfect finish for the night!

They even pack you a little goodie bag for brekkie the next morning, granola, bread, jam etc. Forgot to mention how good the service was! Every single one of the staff were polite, friendly, I have never experienced a better service to be quite frankly. Will definitely come back if there’s another occasion coming up! Very interesting fine dining experience. There were more than 10 courses and all of them were creative! It was my first time to have fine dining which was non-stop and you will have to participate in preparing some of food, like bbq marshmallow and making your own crab hot dog. The restaurant is located inside a office building but has its own lift. The restaurant itself is very stylish.

The experience oozes luxe, from the initial greeting downstairs through to the descriptions of the native dishes been served throughout the night. Definitely an experience to be had, I found it hard to pick a favourite and to get through all the courses without bursting!

I thoroughly enjoyed the notion of having to “make” our own hot dogs and prepare our amouse bouche; and most of the service staff were up for a bit of banter during their synchronised presentations.

3.5 stars ⭐ we celebrated our anniversary at Vue de monde the other day. We love Vue de Monde and use to go occasionally for celebrations before we had kids.

Sadly this time we were a bit let down by the service. They made a number of small mistakes and for $300 plus per head we would expect more from
Vue de Monde.

On to the food. We selected the seasonal (shorter) degustation which has more than enough food. We started off with a beautiful crossaint pastry with edible flower and pu’er tea. Then some freshly shelled peas which was nice but a bit sour for my liking.

We then got some lune oysters which was super fresh, we also got a pearl spoon for something which is gonna be a “surprise”. Duh, I told my hubby. It’s caviar. Well, TURNS OUT, the surprise was they took the spoon away with no explanation. And turns out, they gave us the spoon for caviar, only to realize we ordered the shorter menu so won’t get caviar. 🙄

Next, out came a BBQ stove with some crab and prawn mousse sausage that we could eat w some brioche hot dogs 🌭. We also got this veggies with broth, but no spoon to drink it with?!

The scampi dish was next. We had two plates: one with the perfectly cooked scampi tail and broadbean sauce and the other with the scampi head. Yum.


Bread came with their famous house churned butter. It was so yummy and I wish they gave us more bread.

Next dish was plonked down without any kind of explanation. 😐. I think it was a cucumber wrapped fish mousse? When we flagged them down to ask them they just said that’s eel. 😒. Anyway, hubby’s eel was fine but I found about three bones in mine

We then had some bbq asparagus, a palate cleanser of cucumber sorbet presented dramatically with freeze dried flowers.

The mains came, a beautifully cooked small piece of pork wrapped in cabbage, with shredded cabbage and cabbage ash. Not a huge fan of cabbages but this is nice enough.

Duck came next, very crispy skin, very beautifully cooked.

The dessert series was next. We got lamingtons and chocolates, then this amazing marshmallow by the campfire đŸ”„, chocolate soufflĂ© w coffee ice cream and by that time I just wanted more savory stuff to balance all the sweetness. It wasn’t bad, but just so much sweets!!!

We had another light dessert which I couldn’t rmb what it was because I was just shoving it down, I just wanted to go home :p but we still had the petite four w macarons w lemon curd and a chocolate caramel thing which was delish.

On the way out they gave us a morning after bag w brioche and other breakfast goodies. Which they would give us the butter too đŸ€Ș

Overall I wouldn’t say the food is out of this world but it was pretty delicious, a lot of thought was given to sourcing good ingredients but sadly was let down by service issues.

Note: hubby did email a complaint note to Vue de Monde and they immediately apologized and invited us to the Lui Bar which was nice of them. 💕

I received a gift voucher for my birthday to Vue de monde which turned out to be the best present I could have wished for, particularly as I was able to share it with my wife. From the moment you step into the venue until the moment you leave you are subjected to *the best* dining experience you could possibly imagine, and personalised service delivered with complete professionalism and care. I cannot speak highly enough of the ambiance and vibe, which struck a balance between high end elegance and laid back chic. I would happily return for the service , attention to detail and the view alone. As you would expect for an establishment of this caliber, the food was exquisite and plentiful, the wine list divine. Definitely the place to go to celebrate important life events, or to spoil yourself silly.

WELL worth the money! Went here for our anniversary and your staff are absolutely incredible. They made the experience so enjoyable, although the food definitely speaks for itself. We bought a voucher for our in-laws because they NEEDED to experience this. I recommend the chefs menu, you cannot be disappointed.

There have been significant moments throughout my life that have defined my love for food. But all these moment seem insignificant after my dining experience at Vu de monde. I always say that true dining is not just eating what it placed on a plate. It is an experience which should captivate and stimulate all the senses. My recent visit to this incredible restaurant redefined the dining experience.

The plates of art that were put before me were almost too beautiful to eat. There was a wide variety of plates placed before us including meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes. All were intricate, inspired, thoughtful, delicious and creative. There were flavour combinations I had never eaten before and some dishes were dazzling through the use of dry ice and fire. Food aside, the interior design was perfect and made the most of the stunning city view. We watched the sunset and marvelled at the city transitioning from day to night. The service was impeccable, friendly, polite and helpful. An unforgettable evening! 

The only down side was not being able to meet the head chef, Shannon Bennett who was away with family in NSW... so sad. I will be back if I can ever afford the price tag again :)

Who hasn’t heard the reputation of this classy restaurant, Vue de monde situated in level 55, 525 Collins Street, Melbourne CBD?. Let us step back few years back, where was this restaurant originally from? It was originally started in a quirky terrace building in Drummond Street Carlton,. in 2005 they relocated to the historic Normanby Chambers in Melbourne’s central business district.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!! find myself still thinking about the experience a week later. I was here for my boyfriend's 30th and it was an experience that neither of us have ever had at a restraunt before. Even an ingredient as simple as asparagus blew us away with how it was put together. loved it!!!

Where do I even start. This is hands down the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. It’s not just a restaurant it’s an experience. We had a 12pm lunch booking and throughout the 16 course degustation we stayed until 6pm. The time flew by and I would love to go back there. From the moment we stepped in we were treated like king and queen. The views and interior decoration is beautiful. The staff were amazing, their kindness and knowledge of the food is out of this world. Such a credit to them. Every dish that came out was presented so beautifully and just melted in your mouth. Omg the marron hotdog. Wow. If you ever have the opportunity to come here you won’t regret it. They even gave us a goodie bag to take home with food for breakfast the next day! It was just above and beyond!

This place is a MUST try. One of my favourite dining experiences thus far. The food, ambience, view and staff were all exceptional. I’d like to point out Raj (or raja?) in particular who was of great service throughout the night as well as another gentleman and lady who served us which names we didn’t catch. The dining experience was so quirky and creative we thought it was so unique how it was done. I have a small appetite so we ordered the smaller menu however it was still so so much food (which is great). Ultimately great food and lovely staff, would come here again in a few years if the menu has changed! (Thankyou for making my birthday a lovely experience!)

I've been here multiple times over the last few years. I will definitely return from time to time just to see what's new on their menu. It's the best fine dining experience I've had in Melbourne. Food is perfect and servings are generous for the price you pay! And not to forget, their spectacular views and the goodie bag you bring home after being so well fed :)

Unforgettable experience! Awesome in every respect.

While sipping on a glass of champagne our host explained our options and we chose the chef’s tasting menu which has 16 different tasting plates and every single food they served was really good (presentation & taste)! Perfection, from the first dish to the last, staff: friendly, professional and knowledgeable & attention to detail in every department. The soufflĂ© is the highlight for my beautiful wife.

We were treated to a goodies bag for breakfast to continue your Vue de Monde experience the following morning.

We had a very enjoyable lunch, couldn't fault anything. We were made to feel special and well looked after.

Well done guys can’t wait to return!

Second visit to this restaurant, I thought this one would have been more impressive then the last visit going 8 years back. But even though the techniques were awesome, the cutlery/crockery was customized and creative, the service impeccable and almost too much at some point, yet i felt the food had no distinct sense of passion. It felt like something that had been refined to the point that it no longer looked individual. The first time i visited vue I had seen a lot less and it was all new to me, their was so much drama in the execution and playfulness in the flavours.. i still remember the feeling i had when eating the fois gras with mini french toast and apple puree, it was subliminal, colourful, buttery as hell.  Dont get me wrong, the food here is still something to be impressed by, but I think in my latter years if i see a true passion floating around, this is something you can sense and feel amongst all the staff and can drive a restaurant like this back to the top where it should be, looking over Melbourne just like the view it gives you.

Highlights - The luxury experience and nod to the best of Australian produce, the view and cocktails đŸč beautifully laid tables with unique cutlery and a cute breakfast bag to take home. Of the 17 courses - husband and I most enjoyed the oyster with lemon myrtle, the smoked eel, potato and watercress, the duck with native berries, and all the desserts were equally good with some cheeky boozy fruit to finish off. It was a really good experience and presentation was fantastic but some dishes were a little below par on flavour.

Fabulous! A wonderful experience for a special occasion.
Food: the team showed creativity, technique and a nod to Australian culture.
Service: friendly and attentive, they noticed I couldn’t reach the floor with my short legs and provided a cushion. Caterered to pescaterian diet.

Our favourites: crab sausage in brioche buns, dry aged duck, marrow and chocolate soufflé with coffee ice cream slid in.

Also must mention the vegemite infused in buttery croissant pastry on a stick!

It was great they got us engaged at some parts, opening the bark of the opening veggie dish, assembling own hot dogs and smashing edible flowers to add to the sorbet for cleansing. It’s a fantastic concept and should be incorporated in maybe a few more dishes eg toasting our own ‘marshmallows.’ Supervised, of course!

Everything was done exceptionally well, showcasing respect for fantastic local produce, diligent technique and creativity.

Must be noted compared to other degustation menus, the start and finish dishes were a bit weak. I wasn’t thrilled by the cold, grilled veggies presented in bark (opening dish) and the fresh fruit (closing dish).

I was very very very lucky to be treated to the Chef’s Table at Vue de Monde for my 21st birthday recently 🎉 and what a truly wonderful dining experience it was! Perfect, friendly service (and not too stuffy as the price/reputation would suggest) and what ended up being a seventeen course tasting menu. Such beautiful, fresh produce, robust and unique flavours and also an element of interactivity which was brilliant. We walked away very full and with a gift bag with breakfast goodies for the next morning 😋

Tried the chef’s menu for lunch. Overall, a nice experience being 55 floors up. It’s seasonal and clever use of native ingredients. Service was attentive and pace of dishes was just right. My fave dishes would be the duck, chocolate soufflĂ©, mud crab snag and the damper. Definitely a place to celebrate or just treat yourself to a fancy lunch.

How this restaurant isn’t voted Melbourne’s best, I don’t know! We’ve been dining here for years for special occasions, and can not fault Vue.

From the simple but elegant setting, and stunning views for both lunch and dinner.

The food is amazing, innovative, and love that you never know what to expect.
The service incredible, from the way each dish is presented and described, to the wine sommelier explaining the history of the wine.

Love little touches like the stool to place your handbag on, and the menu is emailed to you after you dine.

Favourite course is the cheese cart that comes around with a beautiful selection of cheeses.

Highly recommend the wine match, even going for the basic one, the wines are amazing.

Also make time for a pre meal drink at the Lui Bar, really sets the tone for an amazing dining experience.

Had the 10 course meal. This was the first restaurant I've been to in Melbourne. Damn. Exemplary food. Like if i had the money, i would go here to eat everyday for the rest of my life lol! Will easily reccomend this to anyone i know in melbourne or anywhere in the world. Cos food like this is worth travelling for.

Great portions for a degustation dinner. Every dish was a delight.

The entrees were very exciting and mysterious. They were full of flavour hidden beneath their somewhat plain appearances.

The mains were more traditional - your favourite classic dishes with a twist.

It’s a great place to go for entertainment / work dinners or for a special occasion.

The soufflé is a must have.

I’m not sure there’s much more to add to the already positive and glowing reviews, because it’s all true. Standout dishes from the 14 course chefs degustation were the lamb tartare with cauliflower cous cous; kingfish with kale; marron two ways; crabmeat sausages; vegemite croissant; dry aged duck with pine mushrooms; lamington; and chocolate soufflĂ© with coffee ice-cream. There’s no denying it’s pricey but it’s surprisingly less stiff than I expected it would be. I found the arrival and departure experience a bit rigid and military though. Shoutout to our French waiter who was so lovely and happily joined in on our fun and conversations - it’s his birthday tomorrow so happy birthday!

I'm speechless, from the moment we entered to the time we left we both felt spoilt.  The food was amazing, served in unison with an explanation as to ingredients.  Melbourne put on a clear evening which just added to the occasion.  If you are wondering wether to book or not, I say do it.  Top notch, service, food and ambience.  On the way out we were presented with a breakfast pack which was just another special touch to an already unforgettable evening.  Thanks to the staff, who come together to make this restaurant just amazing.

After being recommended to come here by my sister I just knew I had to celebrate my birthday here and enjoy the scenic view that everyone brags about. And it delivered, It was such a great view with a great atmosphere. I definitely enjoyed the kingfish with oyster emulsion, kale and macadamia, mud crab with native pesto and koji, potato, smoked eel watercress and yarravalley Salmon roe, the dry aged duck roasted with leatherwood honey, quince and pine mushrooms and definitely the chocolate soufflĂ© with espresso ice cream and the list goes on! I would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion or even if you’re feeling adventurous as the different combinations come together differently for everyone

Been there around 4 yrs ago.. Have to say it was a playful dining experience as it is one of the first few restaurants did Molecular gastronomy.. Slightly over priced... excellent service.. still a must try and it’s ideal for a dinner date as the view worths a million. X

Came here for the first time to celebrate my birthday! Such an amazing experience after you walk out from the elevator. The staffs greeted me nicely and walked me to my table. They were very kind and fantastic service. They explained the menu very well too.

What i ordered is 15-17 chef tasting menu ($ AUD 275) which took 3 hours to eat and i put the menu picture in the photo below. It is true when everyone said one of the best restaurant in melbourne!some of the food had got me flabbergasted. I also got the table with the beautiful view and romantic vibes into it.

Furthermore, when you go to the toilet,you found smoking room area that has best lighting and view!

My best memory of eating such an amazing cuisine! Will be back for sure

We are lucky to have restaurants like this in Melbourne. Extremely similar food to Lume in South Melbourne albeit a touch more expensive and far better venue. The food is best eaten without the wine matching as I feel this just makes you tipsy at the end and you don’t remember the dishes.
Standout dishes for me were :
The marron
The dry aged duck
The soufflé
Staff are very knowledgeable of the food being served and are some of the best in the state.

Its one of the best finedining in Melbourne. It has good view, service, advanced decoration and comfortable environment. We choice the chef menu. My favorite dish is the hot dog, I think I can eat ten. One thing made me disappointed which is on that day most of dishes are really salty, it made me drink lots of water. But it worth to go.
