Review Brunetti Oro Flinders Lane - Melbourne

Irwin Hau
This place is amazing! They should rename this place ‘dessert heaven’. So much variety - just check out the photos that I’ve attached. The pictures do all the talking. Enjoy eating with your eyes, definitely worth a visit if you’re around the area or just wanting a quick food stop. Situated in the heart of Melbourne. Very close to Flinders Street station.

Love Brunetti for coffee and cake! Staff were excellent, doing well in this current climate of Covid and staff shortages. Sat outside in the enclosed area, good place to chill and watch the World go by. The cake was absolutely delicious! Raspberry, with chocolate mousse inside-highly recommend. Coffee and hot chocolate went down a treat!

Wish there were more stars I could give them rather than just '5 stars', and this place is THAT NICE. Highly recommendable. If needed to find any demerit, this could be too popular, therefore, many people, crowded. This wouldn't be helpful at this specific circumstance, Covid-19. But it was just SO good. I will be there whenever I can to try all different type of cakes, ice creams, pizzas and pasta!

Went to Brunetti at 830pm for dinner and dessert. Very accommodating to my vegan friends dietary requirements. Staff happy to help and food delicious. We had the vegetarian pizza, the veggies were chunky and pizza was delicious. Highly recommend.

I loved the background wall picture that covers the entire wall behind the coffee machines. Even though it looks like child drawing, it took me to Florence. I liked this place better than the one on Lygon street. Cakes that we tasted seemed newly made. I highly recommend it. Coffees were not bad.

Absolutely gorgeous cafe! So glad they open this one in the city! The variety of cakes is amazing, but there’s only so much you can eat 🍰 I tried the chocolate and coffee éclairs, and loved the coffee. Would be good if they had chocolate filling instead of custard in the chocolate eclair. Service is quick and friendly, and I will be back to try their gelati! Amaze to see they have black sesame flavour too :)

Wow! If only this establishment was in Brisbane. Cake, coffee and food was divine. Presentation was spectacular. Baristas were extremely busy which is understood considering it’s the Easter weekend. Thank you for the consistent coffee and wonderful experience. Looking forward to our next holiday in Melbourne.

Such a wide selection of desserts.. Truly a mecca of sweet treats! Their coffee is pretty good too. We came here with friends post dinner and the place didn’t disappoint. The only problem is that you’ll find it very difficult to choose from such a wide variety and that’s a good problem to have!

Insta: melbfoodie_mark
YT: MelbFoodieMark
-
When I'm craving thick chocolatey gelato, Brunetti's bacio gelato gets the job done! Rich but not too sweet - overall very addicting. Looking forward to heading back next time!

My friend told me about this place. I went there and had tiramisu and macarons.
To be honest, I have tried several tiramisu but this one was the worst ever. It was so watery and disappointing. However, macarons were good to me, but anyway I was so disappointed with tiramisu as a tiramisu lover. It was also expensive as well.
One of my favourite dessert spots in Melbourne! Always have a great selection. Tried the profiteroles - very glad I experimented.

My first time at Brunetti and it did not disappoint! Had the coffee gelato $5 for small, however was a generous scoop. The gelato was amazing and creamy & I enjoyed the ambience and lively nature of Brunetti with an array of desserts, savoury selection and bar in the middle of the seating area. Even though i left around 9:15pm on a Saturday, it was still packed with people coming through for their dessert fix!

I purchased a Royale mousse cake from Brunetti in Flinder’s Lane this evening. Upon placing the cake in the takeaway box, the staff member who served me started rearranging the chocolate pieces on top of the cake with her bare hands. She had just finished serving customers before serving me and had been handling money and cards. She did not wash her hands between serving customers or before touching the chocolate on my cake and she was not wearing gloves. I was shocked to see such lax hygiene standards here.

Waited 15 minutes for my coffee only to find out that they had a technical problem with orders, but did not tell anyone waiting in queue; Staff just did not care, supervisor and manager missing.
Took 30 minutes to get my coffee. Finally reported to supervisor Ruby and Manager LUCIA, who were also indifferent to the experience I had. Will never go back!!!

Brunetti is definitely an iconic foodie highlight in the CBD and exceeds all expectations.

It's a spacious restaurant with ample seating and suitable for a range of people, including families. The decor is nice with modern furnishings too.

Most famous for their dessert cakes + slices, they are super delicious. I can't remember the name of the one I tried but it was mouthwatering and not too sweet. I love that they have mini cakes to offer as well so that you have room to try more!

On a previous occasion my family and I had the set menu which included a glass of wine, main and a dessert. Such great value! We really enjoyed our evening at Brunetti.

I had my eye on other people's pizzas - they looked so good I'll definitely be back to try them next time!

Aesthetic pleasing eatery.

The place is definitely one of the nicest and most spacious place I've been to. It's brightly lit and very well kept. Ambience was great too. It was bit crowded.

The staff being the dessert counter was really friendly, she kept up with our indesiciveness without a problem, we did ask her to serve other customers while we made up our (my) mind hehe.

We had some cakes. Opera was decent, with okay texture and taste and bearable sweetness although couldn't really taste the coffee, coconut lime was okay as well, good amount of sweetness and mousse texture was fine, ferrero eclair was again okay, with the filling bit sweet and the shell could be crispier. The mug cake was nicely warm (optional) and there was some molten part though not very much, overall texture (the top was bit crunchy) and taste was good but it's too sweet for us and the egg smell was overpowering the chocolate. I also tried some of the biscuits and they're all diabetes except for one flavour (i forgot) with a bit of a hard and nutty texture. Gelato (nutella) was also bit too sweet for me.
Chai latte was pretty good but was again, a bit sweet.

Good thing to note though they have small serves of cake so it's great for indesicive people such as.. myself 😌

Overall a nice place to chill, food decently priced but most of the things we had were too sweet and could be better made.

( follow for more!✨)

xx,joelle.

Cakes are hit and miss, only like the chocolate fondant so far. Carbonara pasta was salty and not cooked properly. Atmosphere was great though.

We were expecting quite a bit from this place due to recommendations and the pasta and desserts definitely hit the mark.
After grabbing a table we had to get menus ourselves and order at the counter. They had plenty of pizza and pasta options and fairly well priced, around the low to mid 20 mark. If you ordered drinks you had to pick them up from the bar. The food was delivered to your number, which you got after ordering.
I really liked their pasta. Flavourful and fresh. It had a nice texture and simply delicious. We also had an antipasto platter and I found most of it quite salty, including the garlic bread.
There were so many dessert options available, from cakes to pastries to ice cream. I grabbed a promesse d'amore and that was amazing. Crisp pastry enclosing a thick and delicious custard cream. I probably would have been happy with multiple desserts instead of a main.
It is a really good spot for a meal or snack. I think it would be even better if it had table service.
Viet Doan
Every cake is beautiful. The selection is extensive. There's such so much to buy and not enough room for stomach. The only downside here is that it gets so crazy crowded, it kinda kills the mood.

I really love Brunetti. It is one of my go-to dessert places when me and my friends are craving for something sweet. We always ordered those three in the pictures whenever we visit here.
Flying Forward
Points for: bright, clean & spacious, lots of seating, lots of cakes

This branch is just as big as the Carlton restaurant, if not bigger.

Brunetti is a Melbourne institution - it's been well known for decades for their range of cakes - if you haven't tried, get over there!

They offer everything the Carlton branch does - pizza, pasta, desserts, cakes, gelato, coffee and they even have a coffee bean roaster and campari bar.

Lots of seating scattered around, I'm sure this will be the new go-to in the CBD for late night desserts, something that was seriously missing.

Meeting up with our friends at 11.30 am. We choose to checkout Brunetti that I was told was a must-visit in Melbourne. The café is huge it’s at ‘east four times the size of most cafes in the area. The café is split up by stations. For example, cake is ordered at the front whereas savoury dishes are towards the back. I thought it was mostly sweet items so we ended up having cake for breakfast which I didn’t mind. I choose apple strudel. It wasn’t the best I’ve had as the pastry was quite savoury for a sweet dish and was quite chewy but it was ok. At least the coffee was good. The other dishes seemed a lot better.

Great coffee and love the dessert!

Had the lasagne and Osso bucco ravioli. Parts of the lasagne were hard and it was too salty. Overall pretty tasty.

Delicious desserts!!

Just left the cafe after some quality time with my folks over some delicious cakes, chips, calzone and coffee. All of the staff from the drinks to the food counter as well as the waiters were just amazing! They were friendly, polite and so accommodating even at the peak hour of 6pm. Truly impressed. We all left smiling and can’t wait to be back.
Good Food Good Mood
We tried a beautiful decadent mud cake today for a birthday celebration which was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend Brunettis for every occasion

Original review
My colleague visited the beautiful Brunetii to select a delicious cake to celebrate a milestone birthday which was very well received in the office. You simply can’t go wrong with one of their creations and this particular delight was a hazelnut rocher number which tasted as good as it looked.

There is very good reason why Brunetti is a Melbourne institution. The flagship store in Carlton is a mecca of Italian fare and pastries, but this store in the city is no runner up. A massive space with plenty of seating and amazing food everywhere you look. The decor is elegant and it's a comfortable space. The place is often packed full of patrons enjoying pasta, pizza and the most delicious sweet treats.

Picking from the display cabinets is such a difficult decision. Row after row of mini gateaux, cheesecakes, eclairs, macaroons, croissants, danishes, cannoli and cookies. Everything looks divine and is beautifully presented.

We chose a gorgeous chocolate eclair and apple strudel. Service was quite good considering it was a busy weekend, with only a short wait to order, and another short wait for our coffees to be made.

The eclair was amazing, with beautiful choux pastry and a delicious creamy filling. The gold flecking was so pretty. Apple strudel is a family favourite, and this is easily one of the best I've ever had. The apple filling was divine, encased in a fine filo pastry. Sweet, but still tart with the crisp shards of pastry; it really was divine.

Brunetti is the kind of establishment that you could frequent daily and never get tired of it. Fabulous coffee, friendly staff and amazing food have kept this venue open for years, and the buzz of happy customers indicates that this trend is likely to continue.

Had been with group of work mates ..! Good place to have a coffee and good varieties of cakes and deserts section here is so good made me fuller without having too 🤤 and I had Mocha which was so good and my friends had hot chocolate and chai latte which was good too and we even wanted to taste their pizza but that counter was said to be opened at 11 and we were more early then that so dint taste that but overall this place was so good with a fantastic seating and ambience

Brunetti is one place that doesn’t need any marketing to make sales happen and I’m saying this because I came to know of the brand after seeing many random people carrying Brunetti takeaways on streets, that’s how hard it is to not notice this brand. It’s always full of happy faces and today when I visited it, I became one of those happy faces. With so many options to indulge into, Brunetti is a dessert lover’s true heaven. I tried their peach and cheese crumble cheesecake, Strawberry eclair and an orange cake whose name I don’t perfectly recall, However I do recall feeling equally satisfied with all the three desserts. Highly recommend anybody who’s new to Melbourne to pay their nearest Brunetti outlet a visit!

I was drawn to this place the minute I landed in Melbourne. Don’t know what it was. Not sure if it’s the Roman-style decor that takes you straight to Italy or just the cakes and coffee that’s so irresistible but this iconic Melbourne institution is my go to place. Makes it even harder to stay away that I study in the city and so close to it.
The Flinders Lane location is so different from the original Lygon Street one. I honestly prefer it as it’s much more spacious and has a gelato bar too. But I came to have coffee and desserts so didn’t get distracted by the elevated menu.
The cakes are to die for!! Literally every time I pass by, I’m tempted to step in and have a slice.
The Pear and Cheese Crumble Cheesecake is one to definitely try.
I’m a huge fan of cheesecakes and I’ve had some really great ones and does this go on my list??HELL YEAH!!
A gorgeous crumble crust with layers of cheese and pear. It just melts in your mouth and takes away all their worries in the world!
The other dessert that I couldn’t leave without having was the traditional Italian pastry- CANNOLI😍
I would have definitely gone with the classic ricotta but wanted to be a bit experimental and try the Nutella. I didn’t regret it one bit because if you love chocolate as much as me, you’d be in heaven. The pastry was crisp and light with the sinfully sweet filling. Happy days have come for sure!!

The ambience is nice and feels luxurious but the food is quite disappointing. We ordered omelette and poached eggs and baked beans and it was very average. Basic omelette and basic baked beans.

The ultimate dessert heaven! This place is really spacious and it makes it a good spot for late night catch ups. They do have an amazing dessert display window and they all look so good. I really like the idea how they have petite desserts, gives you the options to try a few more desserts at one go. Their cheesecakes are really good and is a must try!

I’ve been to Brunetti plenty of times and, always enjoyed it. There food range is amazing and there cakes & desserts are fantastic. But there service is horrible and the coffee wasn’t that awesome either this time. Asking for a iced chocolate and a short machiato, came in a dirty glass.. observing the coffee corner showed that the barista had that ‘I don’t care’ attitude and the little girl with a long ponytail wasn’t very interested in customer service either.

Hi Brunetti,
So it's Monday night How Is the painting on the wall going ? By now the young woman artist must be close to finishing . Ha Ha ! I paint my self . You have employed a very competent artist. The lady would do better without the road block The red tape, and the Irish wanker in the orange jacket telling people to move on. but really I can't wait to see it when it is finished. Your cakes are fab by the way.
Mark,
Jenny Choi
I love this place!!

Had to wait for a very long time to get cakes... this is place good but need many more staff. It is a very big place with lines..... coffee is pretty good

Such a gorgeous fitout, pleasant staff and great coffee. We usually order one of the sandwiches and occasionally get a treat. This is our go to when we're in the city.
Confessions Of A Foodie
Stopped by at Brunetti after an evening stroll. We shared pumpkin pizza which was really delicious. This is my go to pizza whenever I go to Brunetti. For dessert we had tiramisu and mini cannoli. Honestly, both were quite underwhelming. Tiramisu lacked sponge due to which it lacked the coffee flavour. The custard in the cannoli was just not creamy at all.
Having said that, I love their big birthday cakes. They’re delicious.
Foood4Dayzzz
Who makes better sweets than this place? Everything, I mean everything is fantastic and so yummy. They are all so rich and delicious. I love their small little treats, which I savour every last bite. Definitely a must do.
Milinda Peiris
Great place to have dessert and coffee. They have so many variations of dessert and cakes. Also with an out door area which is pretty chilled to dine by. The Coffee house makes great taste of coffee. I tried a hot chai latte, which was good and great in taste.
Jasmine
Great place to go after dinner.

Ordered:
🎂 Oblivion: a rich moist chocolate pudding topped with choc almonds. Served warm. In store only. ($10.50)
🍦 Add ice cream ($1.50)

Review:
Such a good place when it's a cold Melbourne day. Brunettis is a nice way to wrap up your night and also a place to facilitate good conversations.
Their desserts are delicious (but a little exxy) but worth for the glitz and glamour.

Service is decent, but tables can be packed. Would be aware that the tables are close too so you can't be too loud with your conversations!
The Superscript Diner
I do not quite understand why this pace is as popular as it is. To be sure, the ambiance is top notch with a very modern and inviting cafe layout, but it became so ridiculously busy on a Friday night that it was almost impossible to find a seat for two.

The cake area, I thought, was a mess, not for the lack of variety (there were dozens of cakes to choose from) but in the way that the orders were taken—it was utter chaos! Strangely, it never felt overwhelming to order as everybody somehow just knew who was in front of them, and you would be served ‘eventually,’ but I wished that they had some sort of number ticket system so that you knew when it was your turn to order.

The quality of the cakes were very underwhelming, and you could tell that the cakes were not baked fresh daily. The flavours were light and it never really hit that soft spot to satisfy your sugar craving.

Overall, I would give this place a pass. It is too difficult to find a seat on the weekends, and the quality of the cakes is just to low to recommend.
Rhonni
This place is a Melbourne institution. I've been here quite a few times. The cafe is huge, and you can walk through from either the Flinders Lane or Collins Street entrances. It's been beautifully designed, plenty of seats, although we needed to be there right on 12.00 for lunch otherwise we might have struggled to get a seat. Every time I come here it is packed, however the service is excellent, and we were served quite quickly. I had the Pizza isolana and the bruschetta. Absolutely delicious. If you are after really good quality italian food, then this is your place. I will definitely keep coming back.
Sunny Days Melbourne
Brunetti has been around for decades and they still serve up good old coffee and cakes.

We ordered a couple of slices and coffee. The pistachio eclair was a delicate looking piece of art. The pistachio flavours were prominent but not overwhelming. The chocolate royale slice was fit for a king! Full of chocolatey goodness, not too sweet and went well with the coffee. Both the cappuccino and ice latte were well made. The strong roasted coffee tones were much appreciated.

We really enjoyed our visit to this branch. Here's wishing Brunetti a long life ahead!
Sylv
Ordered a calzone pizza and a bunch really yummy cakes/macarons (it was extremely hard to pick which one's I wanted! Even got some for takeaway) 😍😍 But everything was absolutely delicious. The place was buzzing at dinner time and the ambience was very cosy, even sitting outside on a winter night wasn't all that cold with the heating on 😊 definitely worth the visit and will come back again!
TimInMelb
Interstate and overseas friends will be amazed at the range of cakes and quality of food and coffee here. Melbournians will usually know this place well - it always enjoys a great reputation for its food and atmosphere. I love to take friends here.
FoodLoverQueenM
Heard of this place for long time. Very big place in flinders lane. Had brunch on weekend with friend, too busy on Sunday, you have to serve yourself. Can’t understand they don’t delivery coffee to table. Overall is just 3/5.

I see groups of people hang out here all the time, especially during the afternoon and later hours. There so many desserts and other food here. Aside from an assortment of drinks there are ice creams, cakes, sandwiches and pizzas.

I was amazed by the designs of the desserts, with small and big pieces to share. However, they looks really sweet...

I have only tried the ice cream here and I enjoyed it. There were many interesting flavours to choose from but you were only able to try a few flavours, before being told off by the staff...

My only distaste for this place is the service, definitely not the best I have experienced.
Kellie Wilson
The service here is arrogant and poorly organised.Basically the cake we purchased was unable to be consumed for 1.5 hrs as it was frozen! It reminded me of purchasing produce from a supermarket really and not the Brunettis I have been a customer of for over 30 years. No smile no thank you and walked off as soon as my card was accepted. Young inexperienced staff would do well to learn some etiquette. The cake was as expected, tasted like it had been frozen.

🔸environment 5/5
One of the largest cafe I’ve been in Melbourne. Like how they zoned the cafe into 3 different sections - dessert bar / coffee station and hot food kitchen.
Very nice and modern decoration! Insta friendly!
🔸food 5/5
Love the food and cakes!y favorite dessert is pistachio semifreddo and pistachio gelato!! had the big breakfast and egg Benedict for a few times and never go wrong!

🔸Coffee 4/5
Average Coffee. Not too much surprises

🔸Service 4/5
More like self - serve? Maybe because they are too busy.
Noble Foodie
Big and spacious restaurant for all purposes. Beautiful displays of cakes of different flavours. Will definitely picked up my favourite cakes whenever there is a birthday coming up in my family. Occasionally will drop by to have coffee and cake to enjoy the ambience. Will also ordered lunch like spaghetti or pizzas for a change. A very nice cozy restaurant to hang out with friends. Service are quick and friendly staffs.
Giulia Goolia
Coffee was good, the cakes though? Don’t understand why people flock to Melbourne for Brunetti’s. Maybe it was because of the over hype I expected more?
E
l was excited to check out the “very big” Brunetti in Flinders Lane. I had a breakfast omelette, this was gross and lacked flavour and tasted almost a tad undercooked. Overall, there is a good spread of both hot and continental breakfast and their coffee was great. Sadly, I felt their service was manic, like they needed more staff. When you finally get a hold of someone, the service you do receive is borderline rude. I will probably be back, since it’s Brunetti.
BaymaxEats
Brunetti never disappoints. I love their New York cheese cake! Absolutely nailed the classic style cheese cake. Creamy and soft texture melts in your mouth.

Whenever I crave for something sweet, I end up here! I always enjoy the delicious desserts with a delicious coffee. Although it’s a little pricy, it’s worth the money.
Jophy Ye
Beautiful shop. Beautiful cakes. Love the atmosphere on this street. Love the cheese cake. And the staff is very patient to help me out. Really like the way they display all the cakes. All in all, NICE
Ling Yap
Cafe is bigger, nicer, lots place to sit , many variation of desserts, breakfast and ice cream. Lobster tail was nice, crispy...coffee ok. The one thing I dislike is waiting for the coffee counter as it was too crowded. There shld be better system in getting the drinks out to customers. Also there shld be more baristas during peak hours. I waited more than 10 mins for coffee.
Jennie
You can never go wrong with Brunettis, I've visited this place so many times, they have such a great variety that its suitable for just coffee, a dessert or even a whole meal. The cafe is very spacious and has a lot of seating areas.
Emily
As always Brunetti delivers a fantastic range of Italian sweet and savoury. Personal favourites are the ricotta panzerotti and chocolate eclairs. This store makes gelato as well which is new.

The sleek modern fit out has done wonders for a narrow, dark building. Finding a table can be a bit of a challenge at any time of the day and ordering, especially at peak time, is quite chaotic without a number system.
Ellieeee
Their iced latte was so good and refreshing. Best part of the cafe experience. Macaron was a bit basic, too sweet and lacked in flavour. Their vanilla pastry dessert was worth trying and really filling!
Marianna Tuccia
I can never say no to a sugar fix at Brunetti. It’s in my DNA. There is nothing better than one of their ricotta cannoli (pictured) and a macchiato. Probably the best coffee in Melbourne. #brunetti
Fuad Pratama
A perfect place for breakfast and brunch or even just to stop by after lunch or dinner for coffee or tea. They have plenty of range for bakeries and coffee. I still can remember the smell of the fresh baked chocolate croissant that i ordered last weekend. This place just amazing

So we take a stroll in Flinders Lane and stumble upon this chic looking desert place, and we decide to check what is available to satisfy our hunger and cravings for good food in Melbourne. It was pretty busy, and the desert and cakes looked enticing and delicious. We order the vegetarian pizza and leggera, and both of them just blew my mind. We had an excellent thin crust pizza after a long time. We also tried the lemon meringue tart and the cheesecake, both of them were very good. I feel I will have to visit again to taste all other desserts for sure.

Hands down to the best coffee ever neither Wellington, NZ nor Auckland, NZ have a coffee so tasteful and amazing as this one here and the best millefoglie ever ❤️
Caroline
Would come here for a coffee or afternoon tea stop. Spacious interior but it is always jam packed. Cakes are pretty much similar with their Carlton branch.
Whalesfoodadventure
Great service. Got the vanilla milkshake, new york cheesecake and ginger and lemongrass tea. Vanilla milkshake was abit too “milky” for my liking. Was lacking the thick texture and icecream. Absolute love the new york cheesecake. Great flavours and texture
Josh
Used to be a trusty great coffee on way to work. Something has definitely changed - only one barista for morning rush??? Waited almost 20 mins last time, but thought would give it another go..again 1 barista- 10 min wait for like warm terrible coffee. No more - won’t go back for coffee.

Duck in to quickly grab some sweets to take home before hopping on the train at Flinders St. The decor of this place is incredible, upon entering Brunetti I was impressed by its elegant appearance. Maybe it was the low light that gave it sophistication to my eye?
We took away a vanilla pannacotta and a small square of their coconut and chocolate cake, which I can't remember the proper name for.
The pannacotta was creamy and rich but not sickly sweet. As a fan of creamy foods, this tasted delicious. My mum had the coconut cake and enjoyed it, also commenting that the sweetness wasn't overwhelming.
The staff were very accommodating, attentive, and friendly, despite our indecision when selecting our desserts. I would be interested in returning to try more of their dessert selection and the Italian hot chocolate! The convenient location saves me a trip to Carlton for some Italian sweet treats.
Li-yin Goh
Really tiny serve of ice cream for $5. Inconsistent depending on who serves you. Not worth the price , go to Ben and Jerry’s nearby which usually has a shorter line
Ryan Han
Amazing Italian cafe brand that originated from and has a long history in Melbourne. You can experience a great variety of Italian cuisine including cakes, coffee, pizzas, pastas and more. The place is massive and worth a look around.
Mad For Food
I had early breakfast here and to be quite honest never thought of Brunetti as a place who could poach eggs. I was impressed. Perfect yolk to white cooking ratio. I gag at the site of runny whites and there was no sign anywhere. The bread is another issue I have with brunch venues and here it was a great chewy sourdough with crust factor. The coffee I had to order strong and it hit the mark but otherwise would have been a lower rating. The knives were the standout for me. Just enough serration to cut through toast and good spread factor for butter and jam. If your are a brunch enthusiast you’ll know what I mean.
Levina
Lovely place with a bustling ambience and open bar. The classic Italian desserts are perfect at any time. My favourite is always the cheesecake and ricotta cannoli. Yum!
Andries Van Wyk
Very interesting and beautiful restaurant. Coffee is good. Though the cheese cake and other deserts very very bland. Would like to go back for food and pizza.
Phlebebe
Brunetti’s, any of them, is a great place to meet with friends, clients or business networks.
The atmosphere is pretty good and they’re a well oiled machine.
My only request would be that they have gluten free and vegan sweet options and label them.
I noticed that the gelati was not even labelled if it was dairy free!
If brunetti were able to cater to the various dietary requirement, not necessarily fads, they’d be a killer franchise!
Navya93
I love the fact that it has so much types of cakes and also the ambiance that it has is amazing and I really loved my birthday cake ❤️ I loved the hazelnut cake that it is so good in taste
Renee @thehappyorganicgirlau
A Melbourne icon, the Flinders Lane store is massive!! With external and internal seating, groovy seating that runs along the wall so you can people watch. Delicious cakes that aren’t too badly priced and exceptional coffee!
Syed Zohair Ahmad
The cakes are very aesthetically pleasing and are good value for your money. The place does get really crowded though. If you fancy yourself some vegetarian or halal food options, ask the staff and they'll help you out

I can’t tell you enough how much I love this place.
It is my Sunday coffee spot. My cheeky weekday slice of cake. And one of the only places I visit more than once.

I truly love this cafe. The staff make my day, the cakes are beautiful in taste and in presentation. And the coffee is my favourite in Melbourne.

10/10

After finishing my last work shift in the CBD, I have been very reluctant to pursue other restaurants in that vicinity until a few months had lapsed. The thought of anticipating when the train would depart and braving the crowd still does not appeal to me until this day. So happens that I had been grated two (YES!!) days off this week to catch up on rest before my 8 day shift commences and alas, I am game enough to head into the city. Strangely enough, I still feel like a tourist as I wander through Melbourne CBD.
Milad Talebian
Bigger is not necessarily better, they are that much big in their Flinders Lane outlet which cant control the situation especially at busy times like Sunday mornings. It took ages that finally someone cleaned up our table. Orders came far apart each other some when the others finished their meal. Quality was not outstanding.
Jessie Tran
Always come here to get one cake in particular the Nocciolato, other than that, the other cakes and desserts are usually far too sweet. I only taste sugar in my mouth.
Foodielover
Recommend by a friend to tried out here for coffee. The venue is got pack with people and it's got nice decor and staffs are dressed formally. And it feel very spacious even when crowded. But i don't like that ive to serve myself when i paying a premium.
Quince And Cheese
Visited for a taste of the special Nutella offerings for World Nutella Day. My soy flat white was really nice and paired perfectly with a Nutella cannoli, stuffed to the brim with the spread. The donut was also pillowy and delicious. But best of all was the tasting platter, featuring various creams, chocolate spread, strawberries and a flaky biscuit. It reignited my appreciation for this Italian delicacy.

We got arancini, some dessert and pizza. As we know that brubettu is one of the best place to eat dessert, so their dessert is absolutely stunning. The pizza and arancini is not bad too. This shop provide more seats and more the ambiance just so nice and so comfortable. 4.5 out of 5.

Despite having walked past various outlets of Brunetti multiple times, I've never gone in. Maybe it's because there are so many options and I will want everything. However, upon entry this weird toilet smell put me off. It was close to the entrance. Further down the restaurant, they serve pizza so this smell mixed with this weird smell really put me off.
Then there were so many Italian biscuits that looked dry. Some of the desserts were only on display and not actually available (why aren't there sign that say sold out).
We settled on a chocolate eclair and a chocolate ball and decided to sit in the centre of the venue to avoid wafting smells from both ends.
The chocolate eclair tasted like ferrero rocher in an eclair. Delicious though the crust was very dry and stretchy.
The chocolate ball was soft on the inside and served in a cupcake wrapper. It was nice and gooey inside but nothing special.
For the price of each dessert, I may be back. The taste is not spectacular but it is good!

This place is great for an afternoon chit chat with friends. They also offer a wide range of desserts. I always come here for their desserts. Their desserts were well balanced in their sweetness. But the cream were not as creamy as what I like it to be. Their coffee is great though. It was well made

This place looks like nothing short of dessert heaven. Had a take away cannoli which was delicious, can’t wait to go back and sample the other desserts.

This place is definitely a social environment, very cosy place to hang out. They have a wide range of desserts leaving you with a tough choice.
Majority of their desserts arent too sweet and great flavour combinations, however I've noticed that from their small pasticeria on Faraday street, their quality has gone down a little with mass production.

great places to hangout, there's literally tons of choices of cakes.. as for a vegan cake if you're vegan, definitely love the pistachio one, I'm gonna have to come back for more!

Granted, they do good cakes
But awful customer service
The two staff at the cake counter were gossiping at the back for a good 10 minutes while customers were queueing outside for assistance
Staff at the coffee counter unable to assist despite 5 of them waiting around
Absolutely ridiculous

I had eclair here. They had an offer of 4 eclair for 11 AUD. The sweetness is very mild and the eclairs just melt in your mouth. The base and the stuffing is very smooth and silky. A must try for everyone.

Wow this place is heaven for dessert lovers. Super friendly staff, very hygieneic. Tried seveal dessets with my friends here on Saturday evening. Surely coming again.

Had a team lunch here yesterday. Always a challenge bringing greeks (peter) to good italian places as they feel out of place with so much selection and what they call pizza is anything but. They were impressed with the decor and liked the food. My food was on point and the negroni and limoncello were great. Keep up the good work brunettis and more italian imports would be great
