When I'm craving thick chocolatey gelato, Brunetti's bacio gelato gets the job done! Rich but not too sweet - overall very addicting. Looking forward to heading back next time!
One of my favourite dessert spots in Melbourne! Always have a great selection. Tried the profiteroles - very glad I experimented.
My first time at Brunetti and it did not disappoint! Had the coffee gelato $5 for small, however was a generous scoop. The gelato was amazing and creamy & I enjoyed the ambience and lively nature of Brunetti with an array of desserts, savoury selection and bar in the middle of the seating area. Even though i left around 9:15pm on a Saturday, it was still packed with people coming through for their dessert fix!
Brunetti is definitely an iconic foodie highlight in the CBD and exceeds all expectations.
It's a spacious restaurant with ample seating and suitable for a range of people, including families. The decor is nice with modern furnishings too.
Most famous for their dessert cakes + slices, they are super delicious. I can't remember the name of the one I tried but it was mouthwatering and not too sweet. I love that they have mini cakes to offer as well so that you have room to try more!
On a previous occasion my family and I had the set menu which included a glass of wine, main and a dessert. Such great value! We really enjoyed our evening at Brunetti.
I had my eye on other people's pizzas - they looked so good I'll definitely be back to try them next time!
Aesthetic pleasing eatery.
The place is definitely one of the nicest and most spacious place I've been to. It's brightly lit and very well kept. Ambience was great too. It was bit crowded.
The staff being the dessert counter was really friendly, she kept up with our indesiciveness without a problem, we did ask her to serve other customers while we made up our (my) mind hehe.
We had some cakes. Opera was decent, with okay texture and taste and bearable sweetness although couldn't really taste the coffee, coconut lime was okay as well, good amount of sweetness and mousse texture was fine, ferrero eclair was again okay, with the filling bit sweet and the shell could be crispier. The mug cake was nicely warm (optional) and there was some molten part though not very much, overall texture (the top was bit crunchy) and taste was good but it's too sweet for us and the egg smell was overpowering the chocolate. I also tried some of the biscuits and they're all diabetes except for one flavour (i forgot) with a bit of a hard and nutty texture. Gelato (nutella) was also bit too sweet for me.
Chai latte was pretty good but was again, a bit sweet.
Good thing to note though they have small serves of cake so it's great for indesicive people such as.. myself š
Overall a nice place to chill, food decently priced but most of the things we had were too sweet and could be better made.

We were expecting quite a bit from this place due to recommendations and the pasta and desserts definitely hit the mark.
After grabbing a table we had to get menus ourselves and order at the counter. They had plenty of pizza and pasta options and fairly well priced, around the low to mid 20 mark. If you ordered drinks you had to pick them up from the bar. The food was delivered to your number, which you got after ordering.
I really liked their pasta. Flavourful and fresh. It had a nice texture and simply delicious. We also had an antipasto platter and I found most of it quite salty, including the garlic bread.
There were so many dessert options available, from cakes to pastries to ice cream. I grabbed a promesse d'amore and that was amazing. Crisp pastry enclosing a thick and delicious custard cream. I probably would have been happy with multiple desserts instead of a main.
It is a really good spot for a meal or snack. I think it would be even better if it had table service.
Every cake is beautiful. The selection is extensive. There's such so much to buy and not enough room for stomach. The only downside here is that it gets so crazy crowded, it kinda kills the mood.
I really love Brunetti. It is one of my go-to dessert places when me and my friends are craving for something sweet. We always ordered those three in the pictures whenever we visit here.
Points for: bright, clean & spacious, lots of seating, lots of cakes
This branch is just as big as the Carlton restaurant, if not bigger.
Brunetti is a Melbourne institution - it's been well known for decades for their range of cakes - if you haven't tried, get over there!
They offer everything the Carlton branch does - pizza, pasta, desserts, cakes, gelato, coffee and they even have a coffee bean roaster and campari bar.
Lots of seating scattered around, I'm sure this will be the new go-to in the CBD for late night desserts, something that was seriously missing.
Great coffee and love the dessert!
This place is amazing! They should rename this place ādessert heavenā. So much variety - just check out the photos that Iāve attached. The pictures do all the talking. Enjoy eating with your eyes, definitely worth a visit if youāre around the area or just wanting a quick food stop. Situated in the heart of Melbourne. Very close to Flinders Street station.
Love Brunetti for coffee and cake!
Staff were excellent, doing well in this current climate of Covid and staff shortages.
Sat outside in the enclosed area, good place to chill and watch the World go by.
The cake was absolutely delicious! Raspberry, with chocolate mousse inside-highly recommend.
Coffee and hot chocolate went down a treat!
Wish there were more stars I could give them rather than just '5 stars', and this place is THAT NICE.
Highly recommendable.
If needed to find any demerit, this could be too popular, therefore, many people, crowded. This wouldn't be helpful at this specific circumstance, Covid-19.
But it was just SO good. I will be there whenever I can to try all different type of cakes, ice creams, pizzas and pasta!
Went to Brunetti at 830pm for dinner and dessert. Very accommodating to my vegan friends dietary requirements. Staff happy to help and food delicious. We had the vegetarian pizza, the veggies were chunky and pizza was delicious. Highly recommend.
I loved the background wall picture that covers the entire wall behind the coffee machines. Even though it looks like child drawing, it took me to Florence. I liked this place better than the one on Lygon street. Cakes that we tasted seemed newly made. I highly recommend it. Coffees were not bad.
Absolutely gorgeous cafe! So glad they open this one in the city! The variety of cakes is amazing, but thereās only so much you can eat š°
I tried the chocolate and coffee Ć©clairs, and loved the coffee. Would be good if they had chocolate filling instead of custard in the chocolate eclair.
Service is quick and friendly, and I will be back to try their gelati! Amaze to see they have black sesame flavour too :)
Wow! If only this establishment was in Brisbane. Cake, coffee and food was divine. Presentation was spectacular. Baristas were extremely busy which is understood considering itās the Easter weekend. Thank you for the consistent coffee and wonderful experience. Looking forward to our next holiday in Melbourne.
Such a wide selection of desserts.. Truly a mecca of sweet treats! Their coffee is pretty good too.
We came here with friends post dinner and the place didnāt disappoint. The only problem is that youāll find it very difficult to choose from such a wide variety and thatās a good problem to have!
