Unbelievable food and a must try experience!
As soon as lock-down is over and I can get in and enjoy a meal, I'm there. We ordered through Providoor and had the meal delivered to our door in a cooler box, with everything ready to prepare.
It was clear straight away how much care was taken to get everything ready. The presentation was top notch and instructions on how to finish everything was easy to follow.
We enjoyed the Set Menu which included
Starters and sides -
House-made focaccia, Fried pork polpette and Crispy brussel sprouts.
Main/Pasta -
Agnolotti and Pappardelle
Desert -
Bombolini with mascarpone, rhubarb, Belgian chocolate & hazelnut
Everything was incredibly tasty and well worth it. We had enough left overs to enjoy for lunch the next day. I really enjoyed the experience of cooking this at home and would 100% order from them again!
Thanks for the meal! See you when the doors are open!
Lovely service in a light and relaxed atmosphere. Pasta was beautifully cooked, highly recommend ordering the beef crudo and Brussel sprouts. Yum!
Great food, wine and service. I would highly recommend!
Thank you for hosting us on your first night back open. The food & service was exemplary. I would like to commend you on how you implemented social distancing and we felt safe and comfortable throughout the entire experience.
The beef crudo was one of the best I’ve had and the Cacio e Pepe is a must for any pasta lover.
Look forward to returning!
Beautiful food, very fresh and very nice desserts. Very efficient service and lovely staff. Thanks for a great meal!
It was the first time I have visited Park Street Pasta & Wine Bar and it was Italian at its best.
The staff and service were impeccable, they were super friendly and helpful and the food arrived very quickly.
We were given complimentary Focaccia Lardo which melted in you mouth and was so rustic.
Next I ordered the tortelli stracciatella, roasted tomato and basil oil. This was mind-blowing delicious, every bite and scoop of the tomato and basil broth was so fresh and tasty and the tortelli were really light on your stomach. It was so delicious I could have easily ordered a second plate.
For dessert I ordered the Espresso semi-freddo, roasted white Belgian chocolate & hazelnut which was perfect for this warm Melbourne weather and tasted heavenly.
I can’t wait to return and indulge in more of this truly amazing authentic Italian cuisine.
Tagliolini al nero (squid ink) pasta dish is the best bowl of pasta I’ve had in Melbourne. Great combination of flavours with bottarga and n’duja, cuttlefish and clams, smooth pasta; a must order. Next time I come I will certainly try more on menu; whilst the bombolini dessert with lemon curd and passion fruit was very satisfying. Good atmosphere, very friendly service; I think it’s very well priced and a must go to place.
That feeling of having found a great pasta restaurant around your neighbourhood is so exciting! Without the long wait to get a seat, without the need to reserve a table…. I’m shocked to have only found this gem recently. Such a cosy setting at the corner of Park St and Perrins St. We were the first to arrive at 12pm on a Sunday, wait staff were welcoming and we got seated along the wall of wines.
Really happy that I came here - being on the hunt for good pasta. I had the mafaldine cacio e pepe which was delicious. I also recommend the roasted cauliflower and both the honey panna cotta and the bombolini. The staff were very friendly.
Points for: Very well executed modern Italian cuisine
Set in an old corner building from the 1880s, Park Street Pasta have some talented chefs behind the scenes (ex-Vue de Monde), pumping out handmade pasta every day.
Roasted cauliflower - beauifully roasted and presented, the muscatel vinaigrette balances out the nutty flavours of the cauliflower.
Tagliolini al nero - one of my favourite pasta dishes, loads of seafood flavour and love the savoury kick from the shaved bottarga. Tad on the salty side for me though.
Agnolotti - Very well made agnolotti filled with veal and rabbit, not too gamey and the sauce is smooth-as.
Bomboloni - the simple Italian doughnut balls are dusted in sugar. Love the combination of marscapone and lemon curd, and passionfruit.
Belgian Chocolate - definite for chocolate lovers, it's so rich and decadent.
Service was friendly and has that Italian warmth about it.
Well recommended!

To try:
- barbecued octopus; super tender with a nice smokey flavour
- Bucatini all’amatriciana; the crispy pancetta was delicious and the pasta cooked absolutely perfectly
- Agnolotti dal plin; cooked to perfection and perfectly balanced with the sauce
- Pappardelle with braised lamb ragu; this was so rich and moreish. Load it up with their chilli oil and I could've eaten 2 serves!
- Bombolini, lemon curd, mascarpone, passionfruit; enough said, this was delicious!
To skip:
- Tagliolini al nero, unfortunately this did not meet expectations, it was a bit bland and lacking in flavour which is a shame because squid ink pasta is usually one of our favourites
A great cute little venue and I can't wait to come again and try all their pastas!!
Park Street Pasta & Wine had made it on several lists and I was eager to try it out, that and I was thirsting for a proper cacio e pepe. As the name may suggest, their strength lies within their pasta, handmade everyday but it doesn't stop there as their starter dishes were also strong.
With our selection of wine we are given some focaccia with pork lard, spread enough so you can impart the heavy pork essence onto the bread. I may enjoy this more than butter itself!
Our starters all came at once, we start off with a beautiful barbecued octopus, all three tentacles intact sitting on top of some confit potatoes and squid ink custard. The octopus was just the right amount of tenderness and the squid ink brought the umami and brininess.
The burrata was equally impressive with a whole ball (knot and all) resting on a bed of smoked eggplant caponata. The crisps on the side were used as a vessel to layer up the creamy elements and the chilli salt gave it some welcome heat.
A plate of their crispy brussels sprouts was great for snacking and could almost take its place as a side item with a pasta/main. Lots of textures, saltiness from the pancetta and a reggiano custard to round it all off.
For our pasta dishes we got their cacio e pepe, simple preparation of black pepper and pecorino-romano. I'm trying to find ways to compare it to the best ones I've had but ultimately I could not fault it, the mafaldine was delightfully al dente and clung onto the sharp yet peppery sauce.
Their tagliolini made with squid ink was more of a thin silky consistency and was paired with a mind blowing sauce, nduja, pippies, cuttlefish and bottarga. I'd find this one is best shared as the sauce was quite rich and spicy.
For the finale we got one of their special items, their 750g T-bone steak, aged and cooked over open flames. A majority of it was verging close to well done (should have been medium rare by default), only slightly pink where it was close to the bone but really dry elsewhere. There were a couple of good fatty pieces but that's where it ends. They could have been more liberal with the seasoning also. We did eat all of it (my friend wanted to leave some for show) but I gave him a spill as to why we should not waste food. This was made known to staff and they notched the steak off the bill which was unexpected but much appreciated, hopefully they do the produce justice. We also had a side of charred broccolini with a macadamia puree, a nice little accompaniment.
No dessert to be had, it was a combination of being full as well as disappointment in the steak. I'm sure my friends were hinting that the steak (good or bad) could have been replaced with more pasta or dessert but a good steak is hard to resist. Ultimately 5 of the 6 dishes we had were fabulous and I aliken it to some of Melbourne CBD's finest contemporary Italian restaurants. I'm currently having dessert regret as I conclude this write-up.

Came here for a lazy Saturday afternoon bite, and ended up staying four hours. It's a beautiful, laidback restaurant that's got a stunning interior, and tables outside that are well-shaded for beautiful early autumn dining. Service was very relaxed and friendly, and the menu is quite small which means you don't need to deliberate for ages. My friend had the cheese and pepper pasta, and I had the pappardelle. Both dishes arrived swiftly after placing the order (thank god! We were starving), and both were incredible. An abundance of fresh parmesan had already been grated on top (divine), and both were seasoned to perfection. The broccolini side was ordered on the waiter's recommendation, and did not disappoint. The sparkling we ordered was delicious. This place is absolutely fantastic, and so reasonably priced. $50 will get you a bottle of wine and a pasta dish. Such great value and with fantastic service to boot, I'd come back here in a heartbeat.
A favourite go-to for midweek pasta and vino. The entrees are okay, but the pasta is fantastic. The team are super friendly and the venue is beautiful. I never quite understand the bread choice - the only thing I’d ever change.
This small pasta and wine restaurant is very cosy and can be romantic. They have indoor and outdoor seatings and pretty extensive knowledge on wines. The pasta is cooked Al dente. The sauces are pretty basic tasting but executed really well. Excellent helpful and full of smile services too.
After doing some online research for good Italian meal places I came across Park Street Pasta & Wine. It’s a tiny cosy place in South Melbourne neighbourhood. Overall the food was good but I felt it wasn’t completely worth the high price that was charged.
For starters we ordered fried pork & mortadella polpette with pesto, which was basically fried pork balls with homemade pesto and parmesan on top. The pork balls were really juicy and tender. It was followed by pappardelle pasta with bolognese sauce and some parmesan, and tagliolini pasta which was a black spaghetti pasta with cuttlefish and some spicy sauce. The food was good. The pappardelle felt a bit hard as if not fresh, however, the flavours were good.
Meal rating - 3.9/5
Next visit - Maybe
Will come back for:
+ Fried pork polpette
+ Tagliolinni al nero
+ Cappelletti
+ Bombolini (donuts)
Loved the fresh hand made pastas in this little eatery off the Main Street of south melbourne. The little polpette (fried pork balls covered with shaved cheese) were deliciously crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside and a great way to kick off the meal. All the pastas we had were fresh, slippery and delicately flavoured. We did boost the flavours a bit with some added chilli flakes, but that’s just the way we like it. The donuts with the passionate curd and mascarpone was a nice way to round off the meal. Service was prompt and attentive. Prices are on the fine dining end of the spectrum, but portion sizes were generous. Check this place out if you love your pastas.
Park Street Pasta & Wine is a cosy restaurant on the corner of Park & Perrins Streets in South Melbourne. We had been looking forward to a visit and we were not disappointed. Italian beer, charcoal grilled prawns and fabulous pasta …. what a perfect combination!
Like music to a pasta-lover's ears, this place hits all the right notes. Fit-out, lighting, atmosphere, presentation, capacity to accommodate dietary requirements, terrific food and best of all, sensational service. It's the kind of place that you take interstate guests to, to demonstrate that Melbourne has it all over whatever excuse they have for a pasta joint.
Park St Pasta & Wine is a beautiful neighbourhood gem with cosy and homey vibes. They serve up incredibly flavoursome pasta and have delicious share plates on offer. Our favourites are the tagliolini al nero (w cuttlefish and pippies), agnolotti dal plin (w veal and rabbit) and campanelle lamb sweetbreads (w kale and porcini mushrooms).
Brilliant pastas! We ordered the paccheri, tagliolini, papperdelle, cappelletti and they were all full of flavour, a good amount of sauce, and very tasty (I think the paccheri was my fav). The veal shank and rib eye were also good, as were the bombolini and chocolate desserts, but I will definitely be back for more pasta. Staff were super friendly.

Went here for a weeknight dinner with a friend and instantly felt so warm and welcome when we walked in. The restaurant has a warm and cozy vibe...its not too big but I believe there is seating upstairs as well. Staff are very friendly and clearly passionate about their menu.
We got the pork polpette to start which was something different but tasty. And we both go the Paccheri Amatriciana pasta which was to die for!!! I'd go back just for that. I've struggled to find authentic pasta in Melbourne ever since studying abroad in Italy - and this pasta reminded me of how pasta is in Italy. Bombolini for dessert was not too sweet and light and fluffy!
Would be the perfect place for a date night too!
I went there with my partner to celebrate our anniversary.
That was our first time at Park Street Pasta & Wine, we were really surprised about the so cool venue and about the really stunning service provided from the stuff.
The environment was really balanced between fancy and friendly (that was exactly what we were looking for).
The dishes were a beautiful mixed between a traditional and a modern Italian cuisine.
If I could give you a little suggestion, go for the duck, that is one of the dishes that we had, and it was just amazing.
Last but not least the food and the wine that we had worth much more than what we actually paid.
Thank you again for the wonderful night
A Delightfully Cosy Setup with Exquisite Pasta
My friend and I we were invited to dine here recently. Albeit a wintry autumn evening, it was wonderfully warm inside the restaurant. This restaurant gets busy!! It was packed to the brim on a Wednesday evening and there were second seatings. I suggest booking ahead of time if you're planning a visit. We were greeted warmly by the restaurant owner who showed us to our table.
This joint prides itself on its hand made pasta made fresh daily - which I was very much looking forward to. They did not disappoint. I had the Pappardelle Bolognese which was a plateful of explosive flavours. My friend had the Taglioni al nero which she devoured. She mentioned that she loved the hint of chilli in it.
We also ordered a side of Brocollini. This was charred beautifully - slightly crunchy with an earthy, smoky flavour. The macadamia puree was super smooth and divine.
The servings were large but we made sure to finish every last bit of it. I had 2 glasses of red wine. I highly recommend the 2016 Sangiovese with the Papardelle. The bill came to ~$120 which I thought was very reasonable for the quality of the food served, the ambience and service.
I can say with confidence that this restaurant serves the best hand made pasta I've tried anywhere...and I've tried a lot of pasta. ☺ Deliciously al dente, melt in your mouth all-round goodness. The staff were attentive, polite and welcoming.
Definitely a multi-visit restaurant and a gem in South Melbourne. Well done... A+++
Fantastic venue, friendly service and delicious food. Highly recommend this neighborhood gem! We had two starters, pasta mains and broccolini plus three glasses of wine for $130.
Cosy intimate restaurant with delicious, fresh food and excellent service. I had the Tagliolini al nero which I found quite spicy (even after the lovely waiter mentioned it wasn't spicy, more like "smokey", but even with the slightest amount of spice I struggle). In saying that, I still managed to polish off the plate! It was delicious! The boyfriend had the fish of the day with mussels and he raved about it even the next day so it must have been good!
Service was very knowledgeable and attentive. Bonus points to them for giving us bread to clean up the sauces in our plates at no extra charge! Overall bill came to $88 with one alcoholic drink and mixed olives as starters. Will definitely be back!
What a great experience we had here on Saturday night dining here for the first time. Service and food was excellent. Ordered the Chefs Selection menu and got to sample a wide variety of tasty and beautifully presented dishes. The staff here are so attentive and make you feel so welcome. Definitely a great dining spot here in South Melbourne.
We were served by wonderfully attentive staff, enjoyed delicious wine and were blown away by the food. Each dish was amazing in it's own way, particular highlights were the buratta, fried pork polpette, the agnolotti, and the lamb rack. Even the charred broccoli was stunning.
Would definitely recommend, and am looking forward to going back soon!
A fantastic dining experience. The friendly owner popped us in a prime sunny spot for lunch, and helped us pick a delicious wine right away. Our kingfish and polpette starters were perfect.
Unfortunately with the tagliolini al nero, while the homemade pasta itself was fantastic, the sauce - too sour - and seafood - overcooked - was too avant garde for our taste. The bombolini dessert however, was so good we ordered it twice! Shame they don't have a coffee machine - stovetop coffee fills the need but a fresh espresso would have been divine.
Keen to explore more of the menu on repeat visits.
What a fantastic little find! Tucked slightly away off Clarendon St, this bustling Italian bar and restaurant is exactly what a good restaurant should be - awesome good, fabulous wine list, great ambience, and to top it off brilliant service. The pasta is absolutely incredible, I highly recommend the agnolotti and pappardelle! The wine choice was great - I always get excited when a good Chianti is on the wine list. The service is top notch, and the place has a great vibe. So happy to have such a wonderful place close to home. We will keep coming back!
We came here last year, meant to review earlier. I just had to tell all my friends how much we enjoyed dinning here, and we are definitely going back. Food was absolutely delicious and service was top notch.
Compliment to the chef! Ordered 3 pasta and all were done very well, flavorful And tasty just as Italian pasta should be. Service was good; serving size at first, look small but it ended being quite perfect. Definitely worth coming back again.
So good we had to visit twice so brace yourselves for a long blog of fabulous Italian food from a lovely little local. Bringing traditional Italian feasting and a damn good wine list too this is a place you can’t help but eat yourself silly!! Dinner always starts with a friendly face and a serve of the most beautiful soft toasty bread and spread with a good dose of fabulous fat!
I took my dad here and we were blown away by the quality of the pasta, on a Wednesday night and people were lining up to get in - tells you something. From the complimentary bread to the service, to the al dente home cooked pasta. I will be back.
The food here is amazing. Definately go for the specials. Whatever is recommended is delectable. The service is also amazing. That 850gm tbone steak melts in youe mouth. Could be a little more rare foe my liking but the flavour was still mouthwatering. What surprised me The most was The simplest side dish of broccolini with macadamia puree. I just could get enough of it and wish I didn't have to share the plate! The squid ink pasta was cooked aldante and we loved every droo of the mushroom broth with the mushroom ravioli. Every mouthful is so tasty. We ran out of time for dessert and it is quite a small restaurant but that makes it all the more boutique.
Really tasty pasta reminds me of home made pasta from Italy. Have been looking for a place in Melbourne that knows how to really do great pasta without overdoing it and this hits the spot. 👌Great friendly service too not pushy. Will definitely be back very soon.
Attended a pre wedding family gathering for 30 people. We were placed in the upstairs private dinging area, The food was amazing it was a set menu due to the size of the party. The menu was excellent quality and quantity. The service was fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Fo0die dined as a guest of Park Street Pasta and Wine and as such, the rating does not give any consideration to customer service.
A modern osteria located 9 minutes from Southern Cross station via tram 12 and close by to the beautiful old town hall. 2P parking is available on the street which has no limit after 6pm.
At the time we dined, the osteria was merely 7 weeks old and was already quite well established with a lot of locals filling up the tables as we dined into the night.
>> Interior
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The restaurant is located at a corner but beware of the door that is right at the corner (it cannot be opened, trust us, we tried! The door is actually located on Perrins St).
The decor is simple with proper curtains to the windows and high ceilings which gave us the formal dining room yet still with a casual atmosphere to it. The interior downstairs is cosy with wooden tables, chairs and flooring. A selection of tables is available; from bar tables near the door and bar to normal tables a step or two down from the bar.
Upstairs is a 26 seater function room and the rest rooms.
>> Food/Drinks
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The osteria offers a wine list which is served by the glass as well as by the bottle while the food menu is a single pager that lists a few items under each section of entree to share, pasta, mains, sides and desserts with a chef selection available for $60 per person.
Between the two of us we had two shared entrees and a pasta each and this was more than enough.
Starting off with the entrees, the octopus was beautifully presented (surprisingly!) with a beautiful tomato capsicum cashew sauce. We don't eat octopus often but it wasn't rubbery and wasn't too charred at all (barely). Our other entree was an asparagus dish was served with a parmesan cream and bread crumb that was very crisp and made these otherwise simple vegetable entree, very interesting texture and flavour wise.
Their pasta is freshly hand made daily on site and there is definitely a difference in the texture of the pasta which brought us back to our favourite restaurant in Florence during our trip to Europe, two years ago. The striking contrast of the tagliolini al nero (squid ink pasta) against the red slightly chilli sauce consisted of 'melt in your mouth' cuttlefish with the largest fresh de-shelled pippies we have ever seen (though be mindful of the odd sand here and there). While the pork bolognese carried a depth of pork flavour which we have not had in Melbourne before served with thin pappardelle which were almost the width of half a lasagna sheet. Both dishes were decent in serving size.
Definitely one we will be suggesting to friends for Italian!

We adored our experience at this new South Melbourne Gem! The staff were friendly, knowledgable & the food (starters, main & desert!) were delicious! We will certainly be back
Possibly my new favourite local! Delicious seasonal food, small and intimate. Well worth a visit if you’re looking for somewhere for date night or meal with a small group of friends.
What makes a good local? Somewhere modern but still inviting is a good start, delicious and nourishing food is a must, and warm and friendly staff (who are passionate about what they do) is non-negotiable. If the owners just happen to be rather good looking too, well that's just a bonus. Park Street Pasta and Wine, one of the latest eateries to join the South Melbourne food scene, manages to tick all of the boxes.
New Italian restaurant in South Melbourne. Beautiful, fresh food - the Squid-Ink pasta with Cuttlefish was divine, and the char-grilled Octopus? Yum! Thoughtful wine list and great recommendations from staff on matching with food. Relaxing, casual yet classy decor. The open fire-place really adds to the cosy ambience. We will definitely be back. We're lucky enough to live a stones throw and are very happy to have such a great little eatery so close to home. Well done to the team, keep up the great work.
Amazing food with service to match. Fantastic neighborhood restaurant, wish I lived in t neighborhood so I could be there all t time!! I think they do a fantastic job. I'll be back for sure!!
Amore, Amore, Amore! Without a doubt one of the best Italian restaurants in all of Melbourne. We just about ordered the whole menu and we could not decide which dish we loved more. The knowledge of the food and the wine by the staff was second to none and the food is some of the most authentic Italian we have had since our honeymoon in Italy... Whipped Lardo!? get in my belly! Takes a lot to impress an Italian with Italian food... absolutely nailed it Park Street Pasta & Wine! We will back.. again and again.. and again.
We were fortunately enough to come to Park Street Pasta & Wine and meet the operation manager and owner. A simple sentence to explain how unique this restaurant is: Park Street Pasta & Wine make the 'norm' of pasta and put their own twist in it. Freshly made pasta and fresh ingredients make this small restaurant a must place to dine. We loved every part of it - Thanks Alex and the team.
This place is a little gem. All the dishes had plenty of flovour. The service was perfect. The wine list was amazing. From A to Z everything about this place was spot on. If your in the area looking for a place to have dinner you can't go past this place.
If you're looking for some delicious, Italian authentic, hand made pasta look no further than this place, could not fault any of the pasta dishes we had. The 800g T-bone was also a sight/taste to behold. It was hard to believe these guys had only been open a week when we dined, service and atmosphere was on point. Will definitely be returning soon
Wow what a beautiful place. The restaurant itself is cosy, intimate and exactly what you want from an Italian pasta and wine bar. My partner, self and 2 friends went for dinner and found ourselves ordering so many dishes because they all sounded amazing. Would definitely recommend the charcoal octopus, the blood orange white fish ceviche and the agnolotti. The staff were warm, welcoming, attentive and knew what they were talking about. Enjoyed perusing the wine list - it's a winner!
Beautiful and elegant food, exceptional service and a cosy ambiance. Wine list is superb. Highly recommended. We especially loved the agnolotti-divine! @parkstreet268
We dined at Park Street Pasta & wine with my family on a Friday night and even went back the Saturday night as the food was absolutely outstanding and so flavoursome, with the service to match. The venue itself has a warm and inviting vibe about it. Will certainly be back very soon. Highly recommended to everyone.
Had the most amazing food at parkstreet268 .
Its not your typical pasta that you get in a italian restaurant !!
The food is to die for !!!!
The service provided by cale and alex is so expertly delivered i will definetly be going back .
The nice cozy environment makes you feel at home and the knowledge of there wine list is fantastic !!
Great job guys

Me and my partner went there on Saturday night and we were blown away by how inviting the venue felt along with really amazing customer service .. the food is exactly what you hope for when you want excellent quality Italian food made how it should be with fresh local ingredients and a lovely wine list to pair 10/10 will be definitely going back and recommending to everyone! cheers Parkstreet
Beautiful venue, amazing food and exceptional service. Such a cosy, inviting atmosphere with delicious food. We had the Snapper crudo, pork polpette, charcoal octopus and the rabbit agnolotti - all delicious and the yogurt semifreddo is a must. Will definitely be going back.
