Unbelievable food and a must try experience!
As soon as lock-down is over and I can get in and enjoy a meal, I'm there. We ordered through Providoor and had the meal delivered to our door in a cooler box, with everything ready to prepare.
It was clear straight away how much care was taken to get everything ready. The presentation was top notch and instructions on how to finish everything was easy to follow.
We enjoyed the Set Menu which included
Starters and sides -
House-made focaccia, Fried pork polpette and Crispy brussel sprouts.
Main/Pasta -
Agnolotti and Pappardelle
Desert -
Bombolini with mascarpone, rhubarb, Belgian chocolate & hazelnut
Everything was incredibly tasty and well worth it. We had enough left overs to enjoy for lunch the next day. I really enjoyed the experience of cooking this at home and would 100% order from them again!
Thanks for the meal! See you when the doors are open!
Lovely service in a light and relaxed atmosphere. Pasta was beautifully cooked, highly recommend ordering the beef crudo and Brussel sprouts. Yum!
Great food, wine and service. I would highly recommend!
Thank you for hosting us on your first night back open. The food & service was exemplary. I would like to commend you on how you implemented social distancing and we felt safe and comfortable throughout the entire experience.
The beef crudo was one of the best I’ve had and the Cacio e Pepe is a must for any pasta lover.
Look forward to returning!
Beautiful food, very fresh and very nice desserts. Very efficient service and lovely staff. Thanks for a great meal!
It was the first time I have visited Park Street Pasta & Wine Bar and it was Italian at its best.
The staff and service were impeccable, they were super friendly and helpful and the food arrived very quickly.
We were given complimentary Focaccia Lardo which melted in you mouth and was so rustic.
Next I ordered the tortelli stracciatella, roasted tomato and basil oil. This was mind-blowing delicious, every bite and scoop of the tomato and basil broth was so fresh and tasty and the tortelli were really light on your stomach. It was so delicious I could have easily ordered a second plate.
For dessert I ordered the Espresso semi-freddo, roasted white Belgian chocolate & hazelnut which was perfect for this warm Melbourne weather and tasted heavenly.
I can’t wait to return and indulge in more of this truly amazing authentic Italian cuisine.
Tagliolini al nero (squid ink) pasta dish is the best bowl of pasta I’ve had in Melbourne. Great combination of flavours with bottarga and n’duja, cuttlefish and clams, smooth pasta; a must order. Next time I come I will certainly try more on menu; whilst the bombolini dessert with lemon curd and passion fruit was very satisfying. Good atmosphere, very friendly service; I think it’s very well priced and a must go to place.
That feeling of having found a great pasta restaurant around your neighbourhood is so exciting! Without the long wait to get a seat, without the need to reserve a table…. I’m shocked to have only found this gem recently. Such a cosy setting at the corner of Park St and Perrins St. We were the first to arrive at 12pm on a Sunday, wait staff were welcoming and we got seated along the wall of wines.
Really happy that I came here - being on the hunt for good pasta. I had the mafaldine cacio e pepe which was delicious. I also recommend the roasted cauliflower and both the honey panna cotta and the bombolini. The staff were very friendly.
Points for: Very well executed modern Italian cuisine
Set in an old corner building from the 1880s, Park Street Pasta have some talented chefs behind the scenes (ex-Vue de Monde), pumping out handmade pasta every day.
Roasted cauliflower - beauifully roasted and presented, the muscatel vinaigrette balances out the nutty flavours of the cauliflower.
Tagliolini al nero - one of my favourite pasta dishes, loads of seafood flavour and love the savoury kick from the shaved bottarga. Tad on the salty side for me though.
Agnolotti - Very well made agnolotti filled with veal and rabbit, not too gamey and the sauce is smooth-as.
Bomboloni - the simple Italian doughnut balls are dusted in sugar. Love the combination of marscapone and lemon curd, and passionfruit.
Belgian Chocolate - definite for chocolate lovers, it's so rich and decadent.
Service was friendly and has that Italian warmth about it.
Well recommended!
