We were looking for a coffee, maybe a snack and spotted Sister as we walked by and what a perfect spot for a quick snack, but could have had a full lunch too, it all looked so good. As my fiancee is coeliac it can be a struggle sometimes to find options but it turned out most of the menu was gluten free so we were all set. Well worth the stop, thanks for the fantastic service, the dinning experience was truly pleasurable, thanks.
Fantastic restaurant. Dinner last night was one of the best meals we have enjoyed in Melbourne in a while. Great choice of food (was really difficult choosing), so very well priced (actually think they are under-pricing many of the dishes) and great staff. We really enjoyed our experience and will be back. We ate outside as it was a beautiful evening, but inside looked very inviting (not too loud). Creative, inexpensive, delicious and great service - go!
Very lovely experience here. Fantastic well-balanced flavours. The only thing I didn't enjoy much was the Filo-misu, it was a bit sweet for me.
Under the same owners at Rice Paper Scissors, itโs predecessor Rice Paper Sister did not disappoint. All the dishes ordered could not fault across the board - all executed well and had unique flavour combinations. In particular the raw tuna kinilaw was a particular stand out as the different textures of raw tuna, caviar and the crispy fried bread was thoroughly enjoyable. Would definitely recommend those who have not tried this place to give it a try!!

Order slightly larger plates to share with your group of friends. Our favorites include the beef short-rib with sticky sauce and lettuce wraps, roasted pumpkin XO sauce, grilled whiting with sambal matah, and isaan style veal tartare with squid ink. All the dishes will definitely satisfy your craving hungry stomachs. Rice Paper Sister will not disappoint, guaranteed.
My friend & I shared a beautiful lucky 88 lunch today! 8 great courses paired with 8 either alcoholic or mock-tail beverages everything was fresh & the wines were a perfect selection for the food served. Thank you for an enjoyable experience, the staff were excellent!
I had the chefโs selection and it was a mouth-watering experience. My favourite were those fried prawns, a staple favourite or must-get anywhere. I also had a sauvignon blanc, it was refreshing as - which made the whole dining experience a blissful one.
The place inside is very dim-lit - went in the evening - and romantic, so the crowd is very conversational. The staff were, on their toes, wonderful caretakers and a good looking bunch of hospo champions.
The food was yummy and the staff was fantastic! Very helpful with the menu and happy to swap out items for our vegetarian friends and for those that were a bit more tempted with the items on the vegetarian menu. Good decor. Modern but not too loud so we were able to hear each other speak! Second time here and would definitely come back again ๐
nice place to visit, nice food, many creative sauce.
Nice small venue for a work lunch. Good for small groups. The share plates for lunch were great!

Amazing and fresh food and fantastic service. Andrew is a real gun! Definitely not the last time. Keep going guys awesome job!
The staff here are so friendly! I came in for a solo lunch and they were immediately chatty and warm. The gentleman who I think was the manager gave me some great suggestions that paid off very well.
The flavour in all of the dishes was really deep and balanced. All of them were super fresh though and beautifully done.
I also appreciated that the staff seemed to want to talk about the food and the flavours, how itโs cooked, etc which I really appreciate as a big foodie.
Iโll be coming back and recommending it to all and sundry :)
Absolutely INCREDIBLE time having dinner here this week!! There were 2 of us and we did the $45 pp for 5 sharing dishes option. Not only was the food insanely delicious, but the menu had such a wide variety of options, everything sounded so nice I wish we could of tried it all! Also, the menu had an entire vegetarian side for those that are veggie. PLUS the staff were so kind, friendly & considerate. Eat here if you want an amazing food/dining experience :)
Popular Thai restaurant. Lots of vegan options. Special is $45 per person for 5 dishes. Good variety and could not fault any dish. Fresh quality ingredients. Chose a range with salad, curry, vegetables, fish and beef accompanied by rice. Interesting desert menu but we were too full to try. Interesting that they neither served tea nor coffee. Seating inside and out on hardware. Servers were excellent.
Banquet for two (45 pp) for lunch. You can choose five dishes from the menu.
All of the five dishes were really well done. A little bit sweet for my personal preference, especially the sticky pork belly but it was still very good.
Overall this is asian fusion done well. Will be back with the whole family. The experience is worth the price.
Note that there is a 10% surcharge on the weekends and a 15% surcharge on public holidays.
Booking in advance is necessary as it can get very busy, especially if you from out of state and you don't want to miss out on this experience. This is a must stop if your on a foodie tour.
Good vibe restaurant. Staff super friendly, delicious food and tasty cocktails.
Also, the 5 dishes to share is a great option for the price.
Dessert are unbelievable good!! Beautiful and the start of the show at that night.
Enjoyed lunch for 3. 2 having $45pp 5 share plates and 1 teen choosing 2 dishes. The food was delicious. There were a lot of other customers so it took a long time to get our meals and staff were sometimes distracted and unresponsive. Clean bathrooms, however they are upstairs so would be impossible to get up to them if you are in a wheelchair, or have trouble with stairs. Overall it was a nice experience and would recommend.
There are many reasons this Southeast Asian fusion restaurant has been around for years and still is very popular. Funky yet bright interior decor, chilled ambience, friendly but not intrusive staff, and the list goes on.
The critic I have is rather small quantity of food which is more on the bland side.
