MONK BODHI DHARMA
This MONK BODHI DHARMA cafe is located close to st. Kilda.
The whole menu is a plant-based vegetarian cafe, selling a variety of vegetarian menus, and the pancake and mushroom menu are famous.
It is one of the cafes that I would like to recommend because of its excellent taste as well as delicious coffee.
The pancakes I ordered were banana dharma pancakes, which are gluten free and vegan. With buckwheat banana pancakes, bananas, coffee & date ice cream, raw vanilla bean whipped cream, maple syrup and berries. Its overall balance was quite good.
The cream was sweet, the outside of pancake texture was crispy and the inside was moist.
These pancakes reminded me of hotteok.
It has fresh and refreshing berry. The texture was good and the taste was excellent.
Also, the long black that I ordered together had a good acidity, so it was so good to eat with sweet food.
The friendly staff and the natural interior similar to the factory were also impressive.
I would like to try other vegan foods if I go there again!

Been here a few times now. So incredibly tasty it never fails to deliver. I love the specials board, it’s great for locals so we always have something new to try. Zucchini hotcakes are amazing, but to be honest so is everything. I don’t think most people would question where the meat is since the food is so damn good. Plus I appreciate the house made almond milk!

If I died and went to heaven, and went through the pearly White gates, greeting Jesus on the way in, and it was this cafe, that was heaven, I wouldn't be surprised. If I was on death rowe I'd like my final meal to be the coffee scroll and the soy chai in that angry man mug. Also - staff are extremely attractive, as I iterated earlier. That is all. ❤️😬
Lovely venue in Balaclava. The acai bowl was gorgeous, filling and full of fruit and homemade granola. The coffee was great too. I went there after my exam and it was exactly the nourishment I needed. ❤️
Ordered a take away soy chai latte which cost $7!!! It was a little spicy but didn’t feel like it was $2 better than other chais. The vegan chocolate brownie however was pretty tasty! I was expecting as it was vegan that it would taste a little strange, but pleasantly surprised
They make a really great coffee here, use oatly and don't charge 70c extra like my local cafe. I was struggling with the quality of the coffee in the area and since I found Monk Bodhi Dharma I haven't been anywhere else. They also have amazing muffins! I'm looking forward to trying more of their food.
Have been here for brunch many times and everything is delicious. However finally tried the Friday night degustation dinner and wow it’s phenomenal. Highly recommend for a special night out if you want amazing tasting food at every course and a degustation where you actually get so full you can’t eat anymore.
