I have suspected that my previous Zomato reviews have been deleted for some time now, despite repeated assurances from Zomato that was not the case. So it was interesting to learn recently that other Zomato reviewers have had similar experiences, with their previous reviews being deleted.
So whilst I did an updated recent review of the European Bier Cafe, it appears to have been deleted.
So I went back to the European Bier Cafe for another beer and this place still hits the mark.
The service is efficient, the beer selection great and the prices reasonable.
I hope this review is not deleted. This place in the city is definitely worth a visit.

I haven’t been here for a while so I decided to call into this place and have a beer, given that it’s beer o’clock haha. This place has a really good range of European beers not surprisingly, such as Belgian, German, Italian and Chez. Happy days.
Between 5-9pm weekdays there is Happy Hour which means $10 pints which is good considering the beers are imported. It’s a comfortable space downstairs, but I was hoping to see their rooftop bar but there’s a function on today so that’ll have to wait till next time. All that’s missing is Eurovision on the tele lol
Recently had the opportunity to try the new menu from European Bier Cafe and we have to say we are loving it.
We had the good fortune of having the pork belly roast of the day - sadly every day is different so it's luck of the draw - and it was amazing. Couldn't fault it.
Not to mention everything else we ate and drank were amazing.
If you find yourself looking for a bite to eat that won't break the bank and for any occasion, lunch or dinner.
You won't be disappointed with their new menu!
A classic establishment for those who works this financial district area. A comfy pub with hearty pub food and well priced drinks and specials! Can’t complain really!
Came here for a group lunch and got the steak with garlic butter. Waited for a long while for food, maybe like 30 minutes during the rush hour.
The steak was ok, average and was a bit chewy.
Came in without much expectation due to previous zomato reviews but the food was delicious and the service was fantastic. We were served by Mitch who was lovely. Garlic pizza had a lot of cheese and made fresh from scratch right then and there. Calamari was tender and parmaa had a light crunchy batter. Love the range of drinks available. Would definitely come back for the food!
Great atmosphere generous serving awesome taste the lamb shank had beautiful flavour.Zaily was the girl who served very polite and welcoming.Highly recommend
Came in to grab a bite after work on Wednesday, pretty good value. got a parma and a pint for around $25. The parma was decently sized and did the job and quite a few different beers to chose. Will definitely drop by for another pint
Expected it to be busier when we visited after seeing a musical at the theatre down the road. Was quiet and service was quick. Cocktails and food were delicious however there were 2 versions of menu and one listed additional ingredients we wouldn’t have gotten in our meals. Not a huge issue, we just left them.
Great selection of both European and local beers. They also have a wide range of local spirits. Also a lot of great deals. Half price tap beer on mondays and super member lunch deal.
A great bar for casual Friday night drinks. Great vibes and even better specials. I was impressed with the staff so well dressed and great service.
First time eating. Booked the bistro thinking it would be quiet, but on Saturday night! Staff were great, suggesting we go upstairs to level 1 - much more family-friendly. Food was great. Huge portion sizes. Great online ordering option of removing certain things, like chips, salad etc, so the meal isn't too big. Smart thinking. Ok prices, good range of drinks.
Great venue with good food, a great range of drinks and fast and friendly service. Easy online ordering with the great option of reducing portion amounts, like no chips, or no salad, etc. Great to avoid wastage of over-ordering. Gets really busy and loud on weekends. We went to level 1 - more family friendly.
Lively place to stop at after footy.
Went to the rooftop bar, had the heaters on inside for those who feel the cold.
Had the Parma and fish and chips, very tasty!
The Comedy Festival was on, so place was buzzing. Plenty of staff, will definitely be back.
The European Bier Cafe was a welcoming place with a warm atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful, giving us a heads-up before our comedy show. Thanks team for an all round great night.
Did well wrangling hundreds of comedy festival patrons on a busy Thursday night. Food was simple but good. Only downside was being seated directly behind a huge pillar in the second row. Right at the front but could only see white tiles. Weird.
Kind ethical and deeply decent people. Thank you for the below comment. There’s a way for businesses to handle customers, and the feedback they give them. The way your business handled it was exemplary. I’m going to come and try the corn ribs, I wasn’t quite hungry enough for that last time.
This is the first time I've been here, and decided to eat here inbetween theatre performances at the Princess Theatre. I have to say I was really impressed with how this venue operates! You order & pay at the table with a QR code which made thongs very easy and we didn't feel rushed at all. The service was quick & very friendly! I highly recommend this bar and it's now on my list of favourite places 😃🤩
The food was very good. Pricing is average for a meal. The staff were friendly and helpful. We sat in rooftop and even though it was raining outside we were dry and toasty.
