A tiny lil cafe in Centre Place.
Been here twice and the staff serving me has been really nice. It will take a while if there were people waiting because she's the only one working but usually not busy.
Had the matcha latte and i quite liked it! the chai is pretty strong, and the combination was pretty interesting. the only thing was that it was too sweet, and she did tell me it's using syrup so i wasn't sure if it's possible to have it less sweet.
Had the dirty soy chai (chai with a shot of coffee) and it was reaaaally good, i love it. I'm no coffee expert but i just really enjoyed it so would definitely recommend it.
Overall a cute cafe to chill tho not for big groups

A beautiful cosy place. We had gone there for a Saturday brunch. It was an altogether different experience. With the lane full of cafes, this one actually come out as little den with minimal yet beautiful decor and to add they have kept lots of books to read.
Now, the main part food. We had a vegetarian sandwich and morrocon grilled chicken burger with coffee and mint tea. Everything was prepared fresh, was delicious and even presentation was beautiful.
Overall certainly a wonderful experience.

Always nice to visit the little cafe in and around Melbourne. CentrePlace is one of those eclectic narrow and short streets that brings you bang for your buck and for your culinary tastes.
I’ve had mostly takeaway from Little Denn but had a sit down coffee this time. The guy serving was lovely and quite friendly and chatty to all his customers.
The food looked fabulous so grabbed a wrap also for lunch.
The breakfasts being served were sumptuous and next visit I’ll have to put aside time to have the haloumi chips which I hear great reports about.
Although seating is limited inside, its cosy and warm and funky. As the rain came down outside it was a little dry haven. Like the crockery and the books and everything about this place.
Notes: very suitable for vegans and vegetarians, restaurant isn’t really wheelchair friendly if you want to dine in, kid friendly and takeaway available.
On our way through centre place, prior to a movie. We were after a quick bite to eat. I’ve walked past many times previously but have never ventured inside.
The name does describe its features quite accurately with the cosy nature of the layout and the small wooden tables.
The service was quick and efficient, but one thing I did find odd was the upsell during order taking - hash browns for my Eggs Benedict? Or fries for my cousins roasted veg sandwich? There was no mention of additional cost and I almost agreed until I asked directly if there was and it was pointed out on the menu that yes there was an additional cost. So just something to be aware of.
My meal of eggs Benedict came with 2 toasted English muffins, perfectly poached eggs, crispy bacon and wilted spinach. It was really tasty and satisfying.
I ordered the chai with almond milk. In reading previous reviews, it was considered too sweet. However I think they’ve switched their chai to brewed tea leaves so now the flavour is infinitely more dampened and almost watery, I was tempted to ask for sugar. Some improvement could be made there.
I’ll probably head back in future as I feel their meals are quite strong, I will probably try a coffee or freshly squeezed juice next time though.
☆彡 Went for Saturday lunch (1pm) and got instant seating in this cute cafe opposite Degraves. Looks small on the outside, but seating runs quite deep into the cafe :) menu has a nice bug selection of breakfast-lunch italian/Melbourne-brunch scene things :) we ordered: Organic quinoa, acai and muesli ($11) and house-made carbonara ($13?)
☆ The good:
- staff are very warm and friendly; service is good
- generous good servings for what you pay: acai bowl left me full for once!
- carbonara is delicious
- neat interior, cozy but with nice music; nice one-to-one seating without feeling cramped up
☆not so good:
- muesli was a a bit average/bland in the acai bowl wish there was more flavour :(
☆彡 overall:
- definitely coming back to appreciate the rest of this beautiful menu and service and environment :) one of the rare cafes where i dont feel like im getting ripped off :)
This is a small cafe in Center Place, CBD, Melbourne. They serve variety of chai. Had Rose chai. It was served in beautiful cups. Loved it👍
My fav little hideaway in the city. These people have such a beautiful offering, the Denn is small but mighty. Whether it’s popping in for a chai or pasta or tapas the drinks & food is all top notch and always served with a friendly smile.
Wow! I don’t know what to say but this hidden gem hides a lot of Masterchef-quality meals!!
We happened to stumble upon this place, mainly attracted by its befitting name. We squeezed into The Little Denn and settled down with Lamb and Mushroom Risotto, Vegan Spanish Paella and House Made Beetroot Gnocchi. I only took the photo of the risotto (sorry!).
The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful when taking our orders, and all the food came piping hot in under 10 mins.
My lord, I don’t even know where to begin or how to describe the flavours.
We have never encountered a vegan paella before, since paella is always associated with seafood. Yet they’ve done a fantastic job in keeping the dish simple and vegan friendly, while still packed it with spice and flavour. The beetroot gnocchi was surprisingly sweet and tasty, with the gnocchi coated in beetroot colours.
For my risotto, the slow cooked lamb were tender and easily pulled apart. The mushrooms were also very juicy, and in combination with the saucey risotto, I was in heaven. The meals really warmed us up on this cold wintery day.
I highly recommend this place to all everyone who pass by or dwell in the CBD.
I ordered the egg roll and it was absolutely amazing! The egg was beautiful and he wrap was homemade. The hollandaise sauce and balsamic vinegar worked so well 😋 the almond milk hot chocolate was also phenomenal
Warming, cosy atmosphere and great coffee to go with it! Friendly prompt service and reasonably priced. The berry apple crumble wasn't bad either...
