Had a very hearty beef and barley soup topped with chilli flakes, served with multigrain bread. Filling, warming and perfect for the transitional weather that is spring. Have had the tuna rice salad on a previous occasion which was light and fresh. Will be happy to return to try other items on the menu.
Outfitted from a previous post office building, we came and sat down at their counter. The menu mostly consists of pre-made food (i.e. sandwiches, salads, soups) but they also have a rotating menu of 4 items handwritten on some parchment paper.
Always starting off with a latte, it had a nice hit of caffeine and creaminess to it. Bold, just the way I like it.
I got their Hellenic lamb which was nice chunks of soft lamb sitting on top of a bed of grained salad. Served with some toasty pita bread you can use that as a vessel for stacking along with some tzatziki for freshness.
Very basic menu and not something I'd usually crave (especially health foods). It did however satisfy and I really enjoyed their coffee.
Really nice place and has a exquisite chicken schnitzel sandwich that is legit one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Also the place has a very nice vibe and the service staff are extremely nice.
This café may be more on the pricey side, but I do believe you are paying for the top quality ingredients that are used in the dishes, there is no scrimping on fresh flavours here. One of my favourites is the tuna rice salad, its packed with decent tined tuna, fresh herbs, capers, fresh tomato, egg and the bang that lifts this dish to the next level, the olives and fresh lemon.
Great quick salad. Had a healthy grain salad. It tasted fresh, light and was very filling. The staff were relaxed friendly and very accommodating. I was impressed.
I return here every time I come to Melbourne! The coffee is perfect for me - I prefer my coffee full flavoured and while much is written about Melbourne’s ‘strong’ coffee I don’t find this to be true. Here it is full of flavour and consistently made. The food is creative and quick... brilliant for a quick breakfast but if you want to sit and read the paper this is a great place. A little chilly in winter due to the indoor /outdoor nature but good heaters and your own jacket make it work.
Had poached eggs with mushrooms here for brekkie，pretty tasty and beetroot relish was a nice touch. Would consider coming back to try other things.
Good coffee and cafe breakfast style food. Was buzzing in the morning, good vibe and ambience. Had a long black, nice and strong and my ham & cheese croissant was toasted nicely.
As a local I visit at least several times a week & am never disappointed by their consistently great coffee & food. The staff are always friendly and responsive & the boss John is always on point, one of the best coffee stops in CBD Melbourne

Amazing place for a great coffee and some healthy salads. They let you mix and match all 3 types of salads which is great. The staff are also very friendly.

I had to come into the city during COVID today and these guys are still up and running. The coffee here is very good, but the food is AMAZING. Healthy or otherwise, the quality is always spot on. I had the pulled pork sandwich today and all the ingredients were fresh. Thanks for being open guys and I hope you can survive the lockdown.
