A friend of mine recommended Ishiya Stone Grill and since we’re on lockdown now, I decided to place a delivery order via DoorDash.
I had the Unagi Omurice, which was absolutely delicious! The fried rice was very good, and was topped with a perfectly cooked tornado omelette. I don’t normally finish meals in one sitting (I keep half for another meal) but I was licking the plate clean by the end of it!
Portion size makes the price very worth it.
Always been my favourite foodie treat spot, especially for date nights! Sadly they're closed at the moment but can't wait to get back and enjoy some delicious wagyu!
Such a beautiful experience from the food, the atmosphere as well as the service. One of the most beautifully set up restaurants I've been to, perfect for our anniversary dinner. Staff were so kind and attentive to our needs making the experience very enjoyable. The food itself was also very tasty! Although it is not food I would crave to return for, it is the stone grill experience that will tempt me to visit again. I felt that the meat portions were very small, however the sides surely made up for that!
Three weeks ago I emailed Ishiya Japanese stone grille to begin planning a once in a life time event..the night I proposed to my now fiancé. Wincy replied and quickly began helping me plan the special night, all the way from emptying the whole corner of the restaurant for us, down to the personalised menus with congratulation Ned and Cassy with our own set menu. Which was absolutely amazing. Wincy and the other staff at Ishiya made sure that everything was perfect. The food was absolutely amazing to top it off. Thank you Wincy and team for the amazing night, not only are you our favourite restaurant in Australia, but you also showed off your skills in planning a night as special as our engagement
My husband has always wanted to try stonegrill and this experience definitely lived up to our expectations.
The quality of the meat is undeniable, really excellent. We ordered the beef porterhouse, scotch fillet and lamb fillet, everything was delicious.

Great option for dining with a partner or friend, especially with the sets! I tried the custom set with my partner and there was plenty of food, and all of the highest quality! If you can order the chicken kaarage it’s delish!

Had such an amazing experience for our 6 year anniversary at Ishiya Stonegrill, expensive but very well worth it for the experience and food. Would definitely recommend and would come back again, as there was so many options to choose from! The wagyu set was delicious, from the entree to the mains and the whole experience was really fun using the stone grill. The service was amazing as well, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Definitely worth a try if you're in the CBD. My partner and I had the set and really enjoyed it!
