I wasn’t expecting much as it’s an eatery attached to a hotel. I was very wrong. It serves unpretentious foods and it was a good night as it ticked all my boxes!

Located near Victoria Market which makes it easy to park if you do not pick the nights where they have the summer night markets!

A casual environment but serene! Staff was not over attentive which was great!

Had a Groupon deal for 2 where you get a shared entree, 2 mains and 2 glass of wine. Ordered the salt and calamari which was small for a reason, the mains are huge in portion. For mains we had the medium- rare ribeye and eye fillet, it was cooked exactly as ordered!!! It was tender, juicy and flavoursome! The mushroom sauce was a bonus, and the fries topped with Parmesan shavings was a nice touch! Not like most eatery where they have overly salted fries or overcook steak..etc

It has been a while since I had a good night where everything is ✔️. Thank you! And I am back for more in a couple of weeks!

Jasper Kitchen has a lovely ambience. There was a single waiter on duty and it was a pity seeing her work extra hard to manage all the customers.
I had the 15$ porterhouse steak special which included a decent portion of fries and salad along with a complimentary house beer/wine/softdrink.
The steak was cooked nicely in a red wine jus. The fries were a tad bit salty and the salad was good.
A good decent steak meal which is not so hefty on the pocket.

I had the waffles with mascarpone cream, blueberries, macadamia and coconut. I was pleasantly surprised by this, it could have used with maple syrup, but I’m sure if I had asked they would have got me a pot of it. The juices were very refreshing.

The service at Jasper is top notch, and is one of the advantages of eating a hotel, is you get the best hospitality.

As far as hotel restaurants go, it’s decent food with stellar service. I’m actually curious about the after 4pm, ramen bar that it turns into at night – I look forward to trying that one out next time I am in the vicinity.

Came back to Jasper kitchen recently for another meal and have to say the food has improved a lot! The burger was awesome with a very generous helping of fries, waffles were gorgeous and delicious! I think people often avoid hotels when it comes to brekky but this is definitely one to try. Espresso Martini? Their cocktails are awesome too!!

Stopped in here for a quick breakfast and expected a standard hotel foyer feel given it's part of a hotel. Not at all! A much slicker feel, great staff and a menu with some classics as well as those who want no fuss. A good little spot to stop into for a quick brekky!

They must have changed chefs since I was last here because I don't remember the asian/Japanese dishes. My friend and I had chicken curry dishes and we loved them, especially the chilli sauce that comes with. It was just great

Great food with not so good services. I mean they are friendly but they don't seem very familiar of what they are doing, which could be very annoying sometimes. The environment is charming especially when I sit outdoors in the sunny days. The berry jam on french toast is a little too sour. Will go back if I am not in a hurry.

Posted on January 21, 2015 by Jessica Williams When a story begins with “I did too much ecstasy when I was younger,” you can’t help but be slightly intrigued. This is how Steven Henderson – but everyone other than his Mum calls him Hendo – introduced his latest range of craft beers under his beer brand, Brew Cult. “I like bright colours,” he explained, as we sipped on his Brew Cult Supa Fly Rye IPA, with its orange psychedelic label, at the 2015 Great Australian Beer Festival (GABF) Media Dinner. The GABF Media Dinner was a three course meal at Jasper Hotel which profiled a small sample of the 200+ varieties of craft beer and cider you can expect to see at the festival on Saturday February 21, 2015 at Geelong Racecourse. A different beer from either Prickly Moses or Brewcult was matched with each course. Meals were provided by Jasper Hotel as well as two local Geelong restaurants – Black Salt Restaurant and Vue Grand Queenscliff – both of which will be catering the festival alongside a few other local operators and Melbourne food trucks. The food was delicious and the beers and ciders were surprisingly easy to drink – but it was the personalities behind the craft beers that were most intriguing; the stories that came with each individual brew. And that is what makes the Great Australian Beer Festival special, it gives beer-lovers, as well as those keen to know more about the craft, a chance to chat one on one to brewers from all over Australia, learn their stories, and of course, taste their product. The uprising popularity of craft beer in Australia has really given brewers a creative licence to push the boundaries in Australian beer, exploring new options, premium ingredients and ingredient combinations, brewing techniques and label artistry, giving mainstream brewers a run for their money. Luke Scott, the brewer of Prickly Moses and Forbidden Fruit Cider, based in the Otways, explained that he and his team create beers to match a flavour profile, appearance and a

After some socialising with other fellow Melbourne bloggers, the General Manager of Jasper Kitchen, the lovely Jess and Leanne of Tyrrell PR, and instagramming some photos of my cocktail, it was time for some food! Not just any boring hotel food but delicious Tapas food! Amongst us, we shared the following tapas dishes: Calamari Con Chilli – Chilli salted calamari with apple saffron aioli The calamari were tender and coated in a delicious chilli salt that made it so moreish. I think I ate a few! Aceitunas a la madrileña – Mixed marinated olives I used to not like olives – having had some bad olives that were overly salty, made me not want to try them. However I did take one and ended up eating a few. It was marinated well with a good balance of flavours. Albondegas de Carne – Wagyu meat balls braised in chef’s tomato salsa Saucy balls! Delicious, saucy and soft wagyu meat balls. Who doesn’t like meat balls really? Gambas al Ajillo – Garlic Prawns in Olive Oil and Wine with Crusty Bread Oh my! one of my favourite tapas for the night – fresh prawns cooked in garlic and olive oil. Cooked to perfection. Jasper Trio of Sliders – Beef, Chicken and Pork in Mini Brioche Buns I didn’t get to try all the sliders – but I did manage to try out the chicken slider – I love how simple the sliders were, with tender pieces of marinated chicken and rocket. I can’t remember exactly what sauce they used, but i do know that these sliders won’t leave you covered in sauce! :) Last but not least we were served Pollo Escabache  - Spiced Chicken Escabache on Crispy Croutons A recommendation by Leanne who raved about how delicious these were. Well, Leanne is a lady with great taste! I love the saucy and slightly spicy chicken escabache that’s been piled onto a super crunchy crouton.  Thanks for the great recommendation Leanne! …oh wait.. Friendly staff just sometimes a little late in recognizing you need them, but they busy as well. When they serve you, they helpful and friendly. Food is good as well. We used a groupon voucher which is of good value.they made a mistake with the drink and ended up giving both drinks for free which was very kind of them. Provided good advice when asking for recommendations. Food was tasty and Flavorful. Wouldnt mind coming back!

Amazing food! The takoyaki was phenomenal and I really enjoyed my steak. The chef cooked the perfect medium rare tbone, the only complaint was the watery mushroom gravy I got to accompany it A rich flavoured house red, soft on the pallet, was provided and it was also perfect with our meals. I will return, especially for the deliciously ugly dessert
