I'm a solo female diner and some restaurants treat me as an oddity. Lovely welcome, lovely choice of table. Was there for the steak night - $29 with a glass of wine and great value. Perfectly cooked eye fillet (to the rare side of medium rare - and they understood!) with a sticky wine jus - and plenty of it. Have been before and had the BEST antipasto platter ever - which is a tough call in Melbourne. Quintessential Italian-feel restaurant, just a whisker away from the street-scene hassle of Lygon St. Generous service and the biscotti with coffee are so light, crispy and a perfect accompaniment to the (HOT!!) short black that they can't possibly be of any kj value! A classic feel-good venue with warm service, food that satisfies and doesn't confront, perfectly cooked steaks. Bliss!
