Their $5 pint of beer deal during happy hour lured us into this American fried chicken franchise. Belles Hot chicken is particularly known for their chicken, but we expected more chicken after paying $20 each for 4 pieces of chicken.
We ordered 2 sets of wings: Medium and Southern. We also ordered their Belle's Chicken Sandwich, and shared some Old Bay Fries and Mac and Cheese.
My favourite was definitely the Belle's Chicken Sandwich. The chicken itself was juicy and succulent despite it being the wing which is full of bone. The 'traveller spice' was definitely a dangerously good seasoning, as well as the creamy flavourful sauce on the sandwich. The bun was buttery but unusually soft, but allowed the crispy chicken to shine, really proving their speciality in chicken.
This leads me to their Chicken Wings. I loved the Southern flavoured wings more than the Medium heat wings. The Southern wings were seasoned nicely and was juicy. The medium hot marinade on the wings tasted just hot and nothing flavourful.
I definitely recommend having Mac & Cheese and their Old Bay Fries to share to complete your fried chicken experience. It was creamy and had the perfect amount of salt and spice. Wish there could have filled the mac and cheese more in the half-full bowl.
The fries were crispy and had a finger-licking good chicken-salt and chilli seasoning.
Great place to have a few good drinks and food with friends or co-workers after a well-earnt day.

Look no further than Belle’s hot chicken for your spicy southern style deep fried chicken fix!
The hot flavoured intensity will turn boys into men. Tears of joy will be steaming down your face but you’ll keep eating through the pain and begging for more!
Oh and the curly fries are delicious too.
Would absolutely come back for their drumsticks, chicken sandwich, mash potato, and mac and cheese. What's stopping me is how pricy it gets.
