Lobster ramen and Truffle ramen was awesome!!
I have one toddler and request to the staff for high-chair by phone.but they didn’t have it.They said that they will prepare for us..what the nice customer service!
We were very enjoyed those ramen and restaurant!
5 stars recommended.
Accidentally happened to stumble across Shinjuku on Elizabeth street expecting it to be similar to its counterparts situated across Melbourne.
Upon being sat down and shown the menu, I quickly came to realise that it was very different from your regular Shinjuku restaurants. Although the ambience and decor may make you feel like you are dining at one of their other locations, the menu itself was what made this in particular special
The small yet interesting menu captivated me in which I immediately ordered the Truffle ramen and chicken Karaage.
The chicken karaage was cooked well, very similar to the ones you would get at any Shinjuku franchise, however the Truffle ramen was absolutely amazing. Rich and creamy broth with a strong truffle aroma, beautiful pork pieces and shiitake mushrooms.
Staff were also super friendly. All in all, stumbling across Parco project x Shinjuku was definitely a happy accident. Will definitely be back to try the lobster ramen!!
First time visiting the Elizabeth street Shujinko. it was amazing. the menu has such a nice blend between Japanese and Italian flavours.
Great atmosphere as well as prompt and friendly service. Highly recommend swinging by if youre down that way.
I'm a ramen freak from Japan. I used to have ramen at least 3 times a week when I was in there. However after I've moved in here, had not much times.
Parco’s ”truffle ramen” was treffic!! I had it 3 times in a week. It's not like general Miso, Shoyu, or Tonkotsu, but kinda out of ordinary style’s Italian Japanese one. It must be new for you.
Even if it located in Tokyo which has enormous number of ramen restaurants, it worth to visit. I guarantee the quality and cost performance. I'm pretty sure this ramen can survive in Tokyo.
It's surprising that such as delicious and unique ramen born in Melbourne!! You should try!! I'll have it tomorrow too.
I highly recommend that you have truffle and lobster ramen. These are the best ramen I've ever eaten in Melbourne.
These guys are culinary wizards!!
I chose the truffle ramen and absolutely loved it! Recomend it to all mushroom lovers. The staff were friendly and the vibe was great.
Highly recommend checking out the Parco project
The food was incredible, such a cosy space. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Delicious and unique lobster or truffle based ramen and matcha tiramisu for dessert. So good, must try it out!
Parco Project at the Elizabeth Street store was delicious. I went the Parco Classic with added nori and roasted tomato. Although the roast tomato might sound stranger, its the perfect addition to a bowl. It's like an umami bomb ready to explode in your mouth.
Unbelievable food Take me right back to the small Japanese izakaya’s in Tokyo that I love and miss so much. Can’t wait to go back every time I am in the CBD
Lobster ramen it's a killer, really delicious. And fried chicken is tasty.... want to come back for try truffle one..
My partner and I were literally walking past Shujinko when we saw the soft serve sign after dinner. Mmnn now that’s too tempting hahaha
So we grabbed a green tea soft serve and a black sesame soft serve. Both of the soft serves were delicious, the green tea has a good flavour and the black sesame was very good too.
They were quite soft and had to be eaten quickly, or that’s at least what I told myself lol.
The soft serve was very good overall and certainly worth a visit. Oh and FYI the ramen is amazing!
Overall 3.5 but closer to 4 rating.
FOR SOFT SERVE ONLY.
Twist soft serve
Black sesame taste 4/5 - good deep flavours of black sesame with a good amount of sweetness that reminded me of a nice bowl of traditional black sesame soup in Hong Kong cultures.
Matcha 3/5 - more on the sweeter side, and I do prefer the more rich bitter taste of matcha. That being said, was also a little mild in flavour.
Texture of ice cream 3/5 - while soft, some buts were icy or there was inconsistency in the smoothness. Not as creamy as I would liked, but not yet to the point where you taste ice shards. Nonetheless, can be better but as I licked the ice cream it kept on swirling around! Perhaps it was humid when I had it so it adjusted the consistency but this can be smoother.
Next time may just go for the black sesame. Cone was nice and crisp with good amount of sweetness. Not too hard and not crystalized either! Enjoyed it.
I went there after my morning group discussion as a Korean friend recommended this place to me. We went there at noon and there was not very crowded. We ordered ramen and rice and a potato snacks for 6 people. we really enjoy the time there! The atmosphere is great and the food is delicious. The staff are very friendly. Recommend this place!
A good ramuu noodle, so juuic. The broth of gods resides in this location, a hearty feast of black ramen spice and delight. Recommend utmost I do.
Small place at Elizabeth street, the food is very delicious and probably will come back again. Ordered one of the signature don on the menu :)
Little shop along Elizabeth street serves great ramen!
The signature broth is thick & tasty!
I loved the softserve greentea.

Very fatty broth, flavourful toppings and chewy noodles. It’s a little bit salty but very rich in flavour. Got the shujinko signature for $13.8 which was extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity.
My boyfriend loves Shujinko ramen so we initially headed to Russell street but the line looked chaotic so we tried the Elizabeth street store and got a table straight away. I tried the spicy ramen for the first time and it wasn’t really what I was expecting. The broth wasn’t the red oily appearance I expected however it did deliver a kick. The pork was a bit tough and dry however I am used to fatty melt in your mouth pork. The noodles were cooked to perfection. We also ordered takoyaki and gyoza. The takoyaki was great and generous with the sauce and bonito flakes (my fav!). The gyoza was a little disappointing as they weren’t crispy like shown in the photo or like previous visits, therefore the skin had an undercooked texture. The service here is great although the store itself is quite cramped. I’d make the sacrifice to avoid waiting ages for a table.
3.5. Got the new dry noodles they have. Too much going on. The noodles were soft and soggy. Very sticky texture as there were mayo and egg to mix in. There were too many of those bonito flakes and made it too salty. By the way when my noodles dish arrived, the waiter handed me a spoon. Hmmm.
Ramen is one of my favourite dishes so i couldnt say no to popping into shujinko! Pretty small so it could be hard to fit in a lot of people. Really nice staff and ramen was really nice! Good price, open 24/7 as well so its so convenient to go whatever time you desire! Recommended
Foods are nice. The staffs are ok. If the ramen got more meats will be better as it only include two small thin slices. The toilets are clean .
Just as good as the russel street location! But I feel the quality is a bit better as it’s not as busy. The store is smaller though. The best part is they offer 5% off for students. Only available at that location.
The ramen was tasty and condiments cooked perfectly. The chicken karaage was crispy and delicious.
Tried their gyoza and karage don. Both are pretty good but the portion of the don is quite small. Finish off my meal with the green tea and sesame soft serve. Love it!
Love their tsukemen here. Rich and hearty, perfect for cold weather. Karage is pretty good too enough crispness and taste is good too. Service is friendly and efficient.
Makes a good vegetarian ramen as well as a nice and fresh salad ramen if you're not up for all the broth. Pretty no frills and relatively affordable and open late. If you're after a ramen joint to suit both vegos and meat eaters alike, this local institution is a pretty decent option.
Shujinko Ramen ($13.80)
⭐️ 3.5/5 ⭐️
🍴Good and tasty #ramen but not particularly memorable or special. It came with the original tonkotsu soup base that could have perhaps been a bit richer, boy choy, bean sprout & marinated egg (that was slightly over cooked and not as flowy) and two pork belly. The fatty pork belly was grilled well and tender (although I personally prefer less fat meat). Overall, would still recommend #shujinko for a ramen fix! And they’re open 24hrs so it’s great for a late night treat as well

Great ramen place that always serve delicious gross and karage. Would normally go with the signature ramen. Broth is not too heavy which is totally my style. Finish off with some soft serve as well.
The restaurant looks so good and the services are very nice and kindly. Food was not too long even a lot of customers, also the price is not too expensive - good quality and fresh food served. Thank you for making our lunch so great.
One of my go to ramen place. I always enjoyed their tsukemen. The place is quite small and cramp. Not a place that to hang in a group.
Their place is very well decorated that give Japanese vibes. Service is very attentive as well.
Will I be back? Yes!
The ramen taste really good, the restaurant is narrow.
Staffs are very friendly and attentive.
Portion a bit small for me otherwise I would have given 5 star. =)
Great ramen. However the portion is a little small.
Really enjoyed the green tea soft serve after the sticky tasty tonkotsu.
Great ramen option in melbourne cbd.
Ramen is pretty decent but portion is abit small. If you are super hungry, you should order extra noodle. Their gyoza is the best. Their soft serve is so good too, good combination of green tea and black sesame.
Shujinko does its Charshu bowls so well. I’m honestly addicted to this Charshu and have to have some every once in a while. This place isn’t very busy during lunch time but gets crowded during the evening, the service is fast regardless and prices are pocket friendly. Kirin cider goes very well with pork btw!
Pretty cozy ramen place! It has good black sesame softserve. Ramen is good. I like this little spot very small shop making it very traditional. Felt like we were in Japan. The staff were efficient and friendly, the ramn and don were both very good. Would come back!
If you ever want to know what it feels like to experience a true Japanese restaurant in Japan, come to Shujinko. With the ambience, service and authenticity to match, as soon as we stepped into store we felt nostalgic as if we were in the heart of Shinjuku in the night, experiencing the beauty that is Japan.
Today we ordered the black ramen and Shujinko original, both with an extra egg. For those wondering the difference, black ramen has a more intense broth flavour, which I prefer. Both soups come infused with the perfect amount of garlic that makes the broth perfectly deep and rich in flavour. No matter where you slurp, each spoonful of soup is vivid with delicious taste. The meat itself was gorgeous, with a charred fresh taste each bite. Not too soft not too chewy, just the right enjoyable melt in your mouth. The eggs were also soft, with the perfect oozing of yolk at the bite. The combination of flavours with the tasty noodles make for an incredible bowl of ramen that is simply one of the better ones in Melbourne.
Exceptional ramen, with an even better authentic experience. Come here if you are looking to try ramen in Melbourne!

A perfect location for a late night dinner. An amazing gem in the heart of the City, yet away from the craziness of Flinders and Elizabeth corner.
Serves Taiwanese street food. If you have been to Asia, 10pm is a peak time for dinner for some and here it was evident, however service was prompt and hosted with a smile. Menu card is promptly provided and seat allocated. Be mindful, seating area depending where you seat can be a bit tight for some.
Ordered, the popular dish, ramen in pork broth served with smoked fresh bacon. So yeah, this place is not for Halal eaters. Was a bit pekish, so ordered a plate of Gyoza, cooked fresh and that made me go wow. Poertion size is quite filling.
Will return for some amazing Taiwanese hospitality. They have a open kitchen and that makes a great appeal to this place.
Good soup flavour in the ramen.
Shujinko ramen, $13.8. Vegetable ramen $13.8.
Noodles fine well, not too soggy. Ok serving size, would need to order more noodles if you were hungry.
Croquettes were crispy and tasty.
Soft serve, $2.5, is an excellent dessert option. Go for the green tea and black sesame twist!
Can be quite crowded at peak times, but turn around time is quick.
Best noodles and mayonnaise in city!!! All food was awesome experience. Staff really friendly and service quick and enjoyable. Strongly reccommend to everyone
Restaurant felt intimate, despite the busyness. Compact menu without excessive choices. The ramen overall was tasty, but I will say the standard portion is a little small and the broth a little more salty than I prefer. The service was quick and efficient. Overall, despite the small issues with the portion and broth, it was a pleasant experience.
We loved this little spot, very small shop front making it very traditional. Felt like we were in Japan! The staff were efficient and friendly, the ramen and don were both very good. Would 100% come back
One of my favourite restaurant to eat rammen in Melbourne. I have been more than 10 times and not always it has the same quality but in general it is the best place to eat rammen in the CBD.
Very similar vibe to the Russell St branch, but slightly less busy.
There is a small number of tables, plus the traditional bench seating for the singles.I like the tsukemen here, the broth is rich and highly seasoned, clinging onto the thick noodles. The black ramen is also excellent which has a hind of spice and level of umami-ness from the seafood.Pair it up with juicy hot gyoza and refreshingly cold draught Kirin!
Prices are around $12-15 for ramen.
I got a noodles dish with soup on the side (you dip noodles into the soup, kind of like a sauce) - delicious!! It probably is on a saltier side, but I absolutely loved it!
My friend got an original ramen-also was very tasty! Make sure you are hungry because the bowls are HUGE!! Great value for money!
They also have a cold ramen dish. We didn't get it, but a thumbs up for being different! I haven't seen this option in other ramen places.
Cheap and delicious eatery! Small and busy but still perfect for a catch up! Not too loud as some places can be.
Always an amazing place. The place is a bit smaller than the Russell street branch but my bowl however was not :)
As expected we were treated to such an amazing broth that even your mum would be jealous of.
Def recommend to anyone looking for midnight feeds.
I love this place. Even though it’s pretty small, the staffs are friendly and ramen is delicious. Keep coming back here when I crave for ramen. The soup is delicate and not too much fat. The noodle is not too soft yet not too hard, not too thick yet not too thin. The chashiu is very tasty too. Recommended 👍🏼
Since ippudo blew into town I have somewhat ignored the other ramen joints within the CBD, Luckily one fateful evening we were too late and ippudo had closed its doors, we instantly thought 24/7 ramen!! I still have trouble remembering the name, I was pleasantly surprised when I had my first taste of the delicious pork broth from the signature ramen, it was full bodied, porky, creamy, a taste sensation! I didn't even mind that the toppings were a bit bleak in portion size because the broth is what I live for and the noodles of course which was also delicious. Not too firm and more importantly not overcooked which I think is a complete and utter travesty when it occurs. The chashu was also well flavoured and melt in the mouth, the bokchoy however felt like it had no business being there, it just felt like it needed to be in a BBQ pork noodle soup instead, I would have rather it was left out to be honest but that's really a minor criticism and moreso a personal preference. I also found the bowls rather large for the quantity, I suppose it worked in my favour since there was a lot of splashback from my aggressive slurping and enthusiastic noodle thrashing. I am awaiting my return at 24/7 ramen as I immensely enjoyed my first visit!
Shujinko Tonkotsu ramen with pan fried gyōza soldiers. Ramen is a creamy broth with a rich and satisfying flavour. Noodles are soft and egg is well marinated. Toppings include sliced pork belly, globe of bok choi, bean sprout and shallots. Gyōza soldiers are crispy on one side, soft on the other, with a nice filling that is a pleasure to eat hot from the pan. Traditional ramen store vibe, quick service, priced well.
noddle soups are so delicious, I would say this is the most delicious ramen in Melbourne. Matcha ice cream was very good as well, best place if you want to try ramen
Will come back for:
+ Black Ramen
+ Charshu Yaki (grilled pork belly)
+ Karaage (fried chicken)
Came by this place for a quick brunch, and was pleasantly surprised by the food. The ramen broth was packed with depth of flavor and the ramen done firm just the way I like it. We tried both the black ramen and the Karakuchi ramen (spicy), which were both satisfying silky and flavorsome. We also ordered the Shujinko Don which had a generous mix of karaage and pork belly. We particularly enjoyed the karaage which was fried golden crisp on the outside, moist on the inside and came with a great aioli dip. The gypza that we had needed to be fried a bit longer, as they were a bit on the soggy side. Service was pleasant and price pretty much on part with most good ramen shops in town. Will be back!

We ordered their signature ramen with extra chashu (pork), it was so delicious perfect for the cold day.
We also got a mixed matcha & sesame soft serve, which was good as it was not too sweet.
The place also gives the real Japanese vibe but it was really small. The seating arrangement was a bit too close together.
Delicious place for ramen. The decor makes you feel like you are in Japan. Great service. The grilled char shu was unique compared to other ramen restaurants in the city.
Their veggie ramen is tasty and comes with the option of extra veg and sides. Also had their prawn katsu which was reasonable for the price. Everything came out quickly and the service was friendly. I like being able to sit in very traditional seating facing the wall and being able to charge your phone at the charging stations. It’s a great place to head when you’re looking for a cheap and reasonably priced ramen that’s open late - there are a few places on Eliz St near the Vic Markets but this would be my first choice.
Small, friendly and just a little traditional, Shujinko hit the mark for a quick lunchtime ramen. Some might find it too small but that’s part of the charm. And anyway, once you are into the signature dish, the close quarters don’t matter a thing. Signature dish is full flavoured, a thickish broth with a bit of salty goodness.
The ramen was placed in a big bowl n was well flavoured. However the soup was a bit salty, that’s what needs to be improved. Everything else was pretty good
I'd take a bowl of Shujinko ramen any night. The broth tasted great, it was rich and had a mild flavour profile. Atmosphere wise, it was pretty cosy and can get a bit noisy during busy period. Comfort food at its best!!!
Big bowl of hot and hearty ramen. The broth was good but a bit salty. The grilled pork belly was tender and charred. The place looked like ramen bar in Tokyo.
Came here at 3am after a late night out. Enjoyed a bowl of ramen and ordered some pork on the side. Yummy and flavorful! :) also liked the broth.
Was quite sober compared to my friends so I'm pretty sure I'm not giving a drunk-food loving review of this place 😆

Pretty good, the star was the fatty flavoursome broth and the taste of chargrill on the meat. Egg was slightly over, portion size could be more for the price. Fitout takes you back to Japan if you've been. I would go again.
Open 24/7 Shujinko is a Japanese noodle house centrally located along Elizabeth Street in the CBD. . The quality of the ramen offered by Shujinko is some of the most authentic Melbourne has to offer with the noodles and broth made in-house daily. The menu features reasonably priced and amply sized bowls of delicious soup noodles, making this ramen-centric establishment a suitable haunt for economical food seekers at literally any hour of the day or night.
This little ramen shop has an authentic feel of Japan, having a long table along the kitchen for individuals (or 2) to sit and slurp the ramen. There’s only a couple of tables that sits 4 from what I can see, so if you’re in a big group, prepare to be disappointed as the shop is quite packed. The service was friendly and fast. My waitress has a very thick Japanese accent (I can only assume she’s a Japanese), making me feel as if I’m in Japan! The ramen itself comes in a big bowl, so it’s a decent size. Price is not bad, and it tasted good as well, certainly not disappointing. There’s not many selections in the menu (6 ramen and 2 rice dishes, but there are a few sides), but maybe that’s why they can serve the food in reasonable time considering the crowd. Will definitely comeback to try different ramen.
As a twenty-four-hour ramen joint, Shujinko is designed to be a fast paced eatery that gives patrons a taste of Japan. The ramen may not be strictly authentic, but for a quick, affordable bowl of noodles, you can’t look past this place.
Simple food done right! Flavour is on point and will happily return to this little gem.
SERVICE: 4/5
Love the familiar greeting you get by everyone including from within the kitchen. Really makes me miss Japan and I wish it happened more often in all Japanese restaurants/izakayas in Melbourne. We had two different waitresses who were so lovely. They were very prompt, polite and always smiling. Seems like they enjoy working there which is lovely to see as a diner. A few dishes were also recommended when asked and carefully took into consideration our dietary requirements. All dishes came out at a good steady pace and they were attentive to take dishes away when finished which was much needed in the limited space.
FOOD: 4/5
Pleasantly surprised! Here's why..
Edamame:
I have to have edamame anytime I have Japanese, it's almost a ritual. It gives me the 1st impression on the quality of food which is to come. I was very surprised by the generous portion as well as the size of the beans themselves, they were huge! Cooked perfectly and just the right amount of salt, it was the perfect introduction.
Vegetable Ramen:
We were expecting smaller sized bowls like we had at the ramen bars in Japan. Shujinko's one came out in an impressive deep bowl on a small tray with wooden ladle-style spoon. Loved it! The vegetables were beautifully laid on top of the soup, ramen noodles hidden underneath and sprinkled with sesame. It was flavoursome and everything in the bowl worked well together. The noodles at first inspection seemed thicker than I was expecting and looked hard but as I had a mouthful, it had the enjoyable sticky and "bouncy" consistency to it. My only critique was it could have been hotter. Either way, I finished off the whole bowl easily.
Takoyaki:
I admit, I am a little picky with takoyaki and don't enjoy them unless they're nicely crispy on the outside. I was initially disappointed when I picked up the first one with my chopsticks as I knew right away that they were not the crispy kind, they were soft. BUT...the flavour, the sauce and consistency was SO YUM! Flavour-wise, definitely reminiscent of those we had in Osaka. I would be very happy to come back just to have this dish!
Ebi Fry:
Excellent! Super crispy crumb coating, fresh and tasty inside. Unusual that tomato sauce was served with it, should've probably been a mayo with the teriyaki sauce. The side salad was also appreciated.
Chicken Karaage:
It wasn't a bad dish but it wouldn't be as memorable as the others. It would be improved if the coating was much more crunchier and seasoned more. The lemon was a must. $7.80 for 5 small pieces also didn't seem as well priced as the other dishes.
DECOR & AMBIENCE: 3.5/5
The exterior already set the scene of what to expect inside, a casual, small and intimate ramen bar. Yes it is a narrow space with majority of seating as bar style up against a wall or facing the kitchen but this is still more spacious than in authentic ramen bars in Japan. The fitout uses dark woods with dim light and little opportunity for natural light to enter. There are sake bottles lined up high along the wall which reminded us of underground izakayas in Tokyo.
If you don't mind people brushing past you, the tight space will definitely give you a feel of what it may be like eating your way through Japan.
A slightly strange design aspect that didnt quite fit in with everything else was on the menu items for the side dishes which was hand-written and stuck up against the bar tables where we were sitting.
There are two tables available at the front which can fit around 4 people. I also loved how they had powerpoints up along the bar seating to charge devices.
KID FRIENDLY: No, very tight space. It is fine for older kids who would enjoy a different experience
:::INVITATIONAL DINNING::::
Walk in to Shujinko after receiving an invitation to dine in their 2nd restaurant on Elizabeth st.
We order their Signature ramen dish, Takowasabi, Gyoza & Tofu salad.
Ramen broth had shio(salty) tonkatsu style broth nicely presented with slow cooked soft chashu pork belly. Noodle was soft though I personally prefer hard authentic kaedama noodle.
Takowasabi was really good. Had the chewy raw Tako with wasabi & citrus notes goes well with the beer.
Salad however just tofu & katsuyabushi decorated without mixing the miso based dressing could have been better.
Gyoza was home made style but tiny bit doughy. Nicer if it was bit thinner & add bit more spring onion inside like the authentic Japanese style.
However, presentation was nice, inside has that retro Japanese ambiance though all staff & owner appeared to be Korean.
Staff were friendly & inviting. Overall compared to food , ambiance, service against price gives an overall score of 3.3/5*
We were invited to try Shujinko's new venue on Elizabeth street on a Friday night. We were very excited to try their authentic Japanese Ramen and sides.
As we arrived, we were greeted and quickly seated by lovely staff - which is reminiscent of a ramen bar in Tokyo. The staff were very friendly and prompt with their service; creating a wonderful and welcoming vibe. The restaurant itself is quite cozy yet interesting with anime characters displayed around the place.
We started the night with two sides; Gyoza (Dumplings) and Karaage (crispy chicken). Highly recommend both!
For mains we had the Shujinko Ramen (their original and signature dish) and the Tsukemen - (their special Japanese style ramen). Our food came out quickly. All dishes were well-presented and had lots of flavour. The noodles were also tender and the grilled pork belly in the shujinko ramen was delicious.
Shujinko is certainly a great choice for Ramen in Melbourne and a great feed for the money. Prices were very reasonable and the portions were generous.
Overall, we left satisfied and would be happy to come back for Ramen.
RAMEN! Who doesn’t love ramen hey? Honestly my first bowl of ramen was when I was in Japan about 4 years ago – so my ramen standards has always been quite high – and Shujinko certainly did not disappoint!! Located on Elizabeth street between MC and Vic Market, this authentic looking joint although looks small from the outside do have a lot of settings inside however very tight. The collection of anime figurines and the Sakes bottles on the shelves definitely reminded me of the restaurants we saw in Japan.
Hubby decided to try the Tsukemen after watching an episode of Naruto trying this dish… Ramen but where the broth and noodles are served separately. The noodle was thick and tasty and the broth was good. A bit too much noodles.. but guess I shouldn’t complain haha… We did a swapsie half through as Hubby realised he prefer the noodle in the broth so he can slurp it whilst it was hot haha.. so he ended up with the Shujinko Ramen. The Tonkotsu soup base was very light however it wasn’t as flavoursome as the Tsekume’s broth. Unfortunately the soup was not piping hot and got a bit cold by the time it got to the table. Something that can be easily fixed. I did enjoy the grilled pork. Slightly different with the bok choy. Perhaps another piece would have been nice but I think I could have ordered it as extra.. i forget....
Shujinko is a cosy little ramen joint perfect for a quick meal. The restaurant itself is bright and cheerful with cool anime figurines scattered around. Service is lovely and the food is great! Would recommend trying out!. Gyoza (5 pcs) $6.80. Awesome gyoza! Super thin and crispy dumpling skin, filled with a juicy mouthful of meaty goodness. Would recommend! 8.5/10
A must if you love or even just like Ramen, your world will be changed! Absolutely incredible creamy, fresh, filling and bursting with flavour!! It was about 10pm, so it’s open late, while the rest of the city is closing down. The lovely guy let us in and we got a seat despite it being very busy, and the food came so quickly!! We sat and watched the busy and compact kitchen do their thing and was amazed. I loved the whole experience!
Yummmmmmm. Chicken broth based ramen, with options to have pork or chicken cha-shu. The first sip you take gives this big impact of chicken flavour. Its thick and hearty. I prefer this over the Hakata chicken ramen at QV, a couples blocks away.
They're cha-shu is charred and yummmmm.
I got the spicy signiture ramen. I will come back to try their vegan variety which looks equally as delish.
Don't be confused by the Shujinko branding outside of the shop.
Great meal, quick service! Had the vegan dumplings and the spicy vegan miso ramen and they were amazing! The staff were lovely. Would recommend
good place to have ramen if you're craving. unfortunately the lobster ramen was sold out so couldnt try. noodles were very good and fresh. broth was flavourful. egg could be better but yolk was overcooked for my liking.
This little dive on Elizabeth Street is a real charmer. Long, narrow with it's dark wood and galley style seating, it reminds me a lot of a Ramen bar I used to visit in Shibuya, Tokyo.
There are so many Ramen bars these days that they have to make an effort to stand out and this one does with the excellent and earthy black garlic Ramen I had.
Loyal shujinko ramen customer on Russell and glen here. I ordered the spicy signature ramen with charshu and roast tomato.
Really good ramen with a couple of minor issues..
1. 3 to 4 noodles end bit were clump together, once on my first bite and another time half way through. Probably is from how the ramen is made/ cut or they didn’t stir to seperate the noodles out. Not a good way to start my ramen.
2. The way that the egg was cut via a string actually cause some deformation. Visual not appealing but it was delicious.
Other than the above two issues, broths was flavourful and good amount of spice! Would have it again but a bit disappointed with the clumpy noodles.
/ side note, the noodles seems to be different to the one in Russell and glen. I prefer the other one.
Lunch @ParcoRamenYatai and the Black Truffle Ramen looked rather appealing.
Truffle and shiitake broth with chicken base, topped with chashu pork, shiitake mushroom, and dashi marinated egg
A bold flavoured thicker creamy chicken broth oozing flavour with the truffle very prominent, this is such a delight to eat. The ramen egg noodles are delicious and I enjoyed the egg and chashu pork. Versions I've eaten previously have thicker slices of pork so you may wish to order extra as there are 3 thin bacon like slices and you may be wishing for more after eating them. Delicious satisfying lunch.
