One of my favourite pastries is the fragepani tart that has almond and raspberry flavours. Sandwhich wise their tuna and chicken sourdough rolls are a must have. When Easter comes around their hot cross buns are a must try. I also highly recommend getting their olive bread loaf or roll. It is one of the best olive breads I have had, as it has a true authentic taste of olive throughout the bread.
Always enjoyed popping in for a quiche and coffee during the week. Will be back when restrictions ease

Good selection of maracons and well crafted. Crispy outside with a nice chewy interior for the macaron shells, and the filling inside had a good consistency and not overfilled/underfilled. Had the lemon, raspberry, and salted caramel. Out of the 3, salted caramel definitely shined through and gave a rich dark caramel flavour that wasnt too sweet and the salt neutralized the tone and enhanced the flavours! Lemon was also nice and prominent but the raspberry was a bit mild in flavour.
Overall would come back for their macarons, would love to try their other desserts and savoury items!
We got a lemon meringue pie as a birthday cake and it was really nice! My favourite part was the short crust pastry which was had the perfect crumble-ness and buttery flavour, even until the next day. The lemon curd was tart but sweet, and quite decadent too. However the light meringue helped to cut through the heaviness of the curd. Overall, a very delicious cake!
Who doesnt love Laurent Bakery. A great sized cafe with heaps of options of cakes. The baked goods were delicious and a good hot drink to match.
Got the Gateau Au Fromage cake with layers of cream cheese and raspberry inserts, topped with
Ganache montee and dark chocolate. All on top of a biscuit base.
The cream cheese wasnt too soft and took a few goes before each bite has a bit of biscuit and cheese as the bottom is very hard and crumbly and kept dropping off the fork.
Hazelnut meringue cake "Castel" from Laurent, Melbourne - hazelnut meringue, nougatine, and hazelnut cream. The texture was crunchy yet creamy, and the whole thing just melts in your mouth. A bit sweet but still enjoyable. .
A warm lit cafe with lovely service. Love how upon first entry it smells like freshly baked pastries. Bought a loaf of plain sour dough, big in size and decently priced. Crispy crusts, fluffy bread and you can definitely taste the sourdough.

The Dear Luncher is both low and high brow. Happy to enjoy a dirty egg and bacon roll with a below average coffee and pay around $10 for it. But what The Dear Luncher enjoys more is a high-end brekkie from a proper patisserie. You expect to pay a little more the privilege and you also expect the coffee to be taste like it was filtered through Isla Fisherâs beautiful body. So when the bill arrived for a Croque Monsieur and long macchiato and it was only $11 from Laurent, The Dear Luncher could scarcely believe it. A beautiful, cheesy breakfast, accompanied with a near-on perfect coffee for a little over $10. You cannot go wrong here, Ladies and Lunchers.

Laurent is a beautiful French patisserie. I love stopping by for a cup of tea/coffee and a cake to relax mid a shopping spree to get my second wind. The cakes are delicious and I highly recommend trying them they are worth the investment. I do enjoying the coffee. My only feedback is the customer service I would expect that the service would be better considering the prices. The staff do not seemed educated on the cakes and are not inviting and personable when serving.
Regardless of this if you enjoy desserts I recommend giving Laurent a visit you will be satisfied.
Millefeuille was ordered for a collegues birthday. The cake was light and flakey but I felt there was a little too much vanilla essence in the custard cream which was slightly over powering. But overall another delicious birthday cake.
Went here with a couple friends for a snack and coffee. The cafe is really cute with plenty of seating.
The food was delicious we had an almond croissant, ham and cheese croissant and one of their salmon sandwiches.
Would definitely go back next time I'm over.
Always come here with my boss, service is usually great, food is always lovely and the venue is so cute! They just need colder water and more selection of salads I reckon đ other than that, this is my regular coffee joint, doesn't disappoint! Try the roast vegetable pastry đđ
the almond croissant was nice , the cake was nice also but a bit to pricey , buts overall the cake taste nice and i like the croissant also
Delectable cakes despite the inconsistent texture of the cheesecake. The macarons were a bit soggy, because it was probably in the fridge for too long. Nevertheless, a great place to have morning tea or afternoon tea.

I got a roast beef foccacia which was super filling and tasty!! The roast beef slices themselves were a bit bland but well-accompanied by mustard and salad. The foccacia bread wasn't bland at all, and it let the fillings shine without overpowering the sandwich with bread-ness. There were also a lot of cake and pastry options available.
Service was kind of slow but that's understandable given that there were only a couple of staff who had to multitask. Although, someone in my group ordered a simple almond croissant and was thinking it should've at least been warmed up after a 10+ minute wait (instead it was served as it had been in the window, only on a plate).
One of the best cakes I ever had! Friends got me this for my birthday! It was so fruity and creamy and sour all at the same time! They did an amazing job! The second cake is a chocolate cake for my brother's birthday. Another smashing job. It was so rich and soft. Laurent is my favourite bakery in Melbourne!
Looking for something sweet for a date with girlfriends, I decided to stop in Laurent Boulangerie Patisserie to purchase some of their beautiful pastries. The entrance is like no other. Located down the narrow Little Collinâs Street, their grand entrance is like walking into a elegant Paris-style bakery. High ceilings, white walls and a beautiful staircase all add to the beloved decor surrounding their large cabinets showcasing rows upon rows of specialty cakes and pastries.
Have been here a few times. Really classy, typically French. Great food, but charges you extra to sit inside (don't know why). A little over priced but I guess it's because they're French...
Quietly tucked away in one of Melb's alleys, Laurent is a cute little boulangerie that offers amazing brewed coffee (a norm when in Melb) and a wide selection of frou frou sweet patisseries.

I love this joint. Perfect location. Absolutely mouthgasming desserts, the chai latte is delicious as hell and the macaroons are one of the best around. Can be a bit over crowded with kids and families on weekends but I still love it no matter what.
Nice building with European Flair. Laurent is in the higher end of the price range, but high quality dessert. Great choices on chocolate and mouse based cakes.
Reliable coffee and patisserie. Laurent is a reliable chain for coffee and pastry. One thing I like about their places is that they exude high class, but in an affordable way. Itâs all about how their cafes are kitted out -- toward the white linen end of the scale. Their coffee is generally decent. The flat white I had here was smooth, a bit on the strong side (I like âem strong) and pleasant in a small cup. Large flat whites come in bowl-sized mugs with no handles, like French cafe au lait. Iâm not rapt about that format. The chocolate almond croissant I had with my coffee looked good -- everything at Laurent is attractive! -- but it was kinda dry around the edges. I still liked it. This is a fine place to sit and peck away on the laptop with their free wifi, too. Itâs like being in a French Internet cafe.
