One of my favourite pastries is the fragepani tart that has almond and raspberry flavours. Sandwhich wise their tuna and chicken sourdough rolls are a must have. When Easter comes around their hot cross buns are a must try. I also highly recommend getting their olive bread loaf or roll. It is one of the best olive breads I have had, as it has a true authentic taste of olive throughout the bread.
Always enjoyed popping in for a quiche and coffee during the week. Will be back when restrictions ease

Good selection of maracons and well crafted. Crispy outside with a nice chewy interior for the macaron shells, and the filling inside had a good consistency and not overfilled/underfilled. Had the lemon, raspberry, and salted caramel. Out of the 3, salted caramel definitely shined through and gave a rich dark caramel flavour that wasnt too sweet and the salt neutralized the tone and enhanced the flavours! Lemon was also nice and prominent but the raspberry was a bit mild in flavour.
Overall would come back for their macarons, would love to try their other desserts and savoury items!
We got a lemon meringue pie as a birthday cake and it was really nice! My favourite part was the short crust pastry which was had the perfect crumble-ness and buttery flavour, even until the next day. The lemon curd was tart but sweet, and quite decadent too. However the light meringue helped to cut through the heaviness of the curd. Overall, a very delicious cake!
Who doesnt love Laurent Bakery. A great sized cafe with heaps of options of cakes. The baked goods were delicious and a good hot drink to match.
Got the Gateau Au Fromage cake with layers of cream cheese and raspberry inserts, topped with
Ganache montee and dark chocolate. All on top of a biscuit base.
The cream cheese wasnt too soft and took a few goes before each bite has a bit of biscuit and cheese as the bottom is very hard and crumbly and kept dropping off the fork.
Hazelnut meringue cake "Castel" from Laurent, Melbourne - hazelnut meringue, nougatine, and hazelnut cream. The texture was crunchy yet creamy, and the whole thing just melts in your mouth. A bit sweet but still enjoyable. .
