San churros is always my favourite place to go for dessert, especially because they have discounts on unidays and it’s always filling... my favourite sauce is the cookie butter (and also the salted caramel).
If you have a craving for dessert look no further than San Churro!
They have a delicious new variety of vegan options on the menu! You can dip your churros into milk chocolate, dark chocolate and cookie butter crunch.
I tried a white choc milk shake and the churros with milk chocolate and cookie butter crunch dipping sauces.
Cookie butter crunch dipping sauce is a MUST try! Can’t wait to try all the other menu options.
Well done to San Churro on providing a truly fantastic range of vegan choices.
Not a token menu item but instead an extensive range. Something for everyone!
We stopped here to have coffee. I’m always tempted to have the churros. But we had only coffee which was nice. The chocolate bits at the top instead of using chocolate powder made it taste very chocolaty which was nice. It’s got lots of tables both outdoors and indoors on the beautiful Lygon Street.
Love it! I came here twice during my holiday in last April. I ordered fruits churros (with strawberry and banana) with spanish hazelnut and milk chocolate at the first visit and only churros woth chocolates at the second visit, and it was very good. The first visit was handled by friendly girl, but the second time was handled by not so friendly man. Overall still satisfy with their churros and the chocolates
San Churro's does nice churros and desserts. The churros are well fried, thin and crispy - the kind I would happily buy at any carnival stand. The problem is they're asking for almost $3 per churro, which frankly I think is quite overpriced. That said, it is difficult to find carnival stall churros that are of this quality, so I think it is still the place to go for good churros. I often have their sundaes which are decadent and filling.
This branch is located amidst busy Lygon street, so there is a healthy bustle along the street. Worth a try for some decadent desserts.
Ordered the churros for two - with milk chocolate and white chocolate dipping sauce. The churros were crunchy and warm, coated in icing sugar. It tastes great with the milk and white chocolate sauce. The mocha was a really good blend of chocolate and coffee. One of the best mochas around.
Located in the middle of a food street and it's easy to miss unless you're looking for it. Moderate ambience compared to the levels they're usually accustomed to. Got ourselves the cookie smasheo and it never disappoints. Highly recommended!
Spanish hot chocolate, churros and more melted chocolate - San Churro is a sweetly sinful delight for any chocolate lover. I haven't been here in awhile but for any visitors to Melbourne coming for the first time, a visit to San Churro (with locations everywhere) is a great pit stop to sample a sweet treat.
😱Lizzie’s first impression: The only place in Melbourne I trust will make my churros perfect every time.
🍩Lizzie enjoyed: I love the churros for two - it is the perfect amount and comes with two sauces.
🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: N/A
🥇Lizzie rates overall: A great place for dessert.

One of the best san churro in victoria, i always go there for my white mocca lactose free milk , best coffee ever, All the time they make my favorite delicious chocolateee mocca makes me come even more, and more important I love the owners father son service
They both r the best
Thanks
Came here on a Thursday night for some dessert . It’s a Great place for some late night dessert! Grab the churro feast with 6 different sauces you’re in for a treat! With a range of cold and hot drinks it’s perfect for any weather.
I ordered the snack pack to be shared with 2 people and it was filling. I though the classic was good, but this brings churros to a whole new level.
Best customer service I've ever seen except from some guy Bryan

Love this spanish dessert place, we ordered the churros fiesta to share with 5 other friends and got all 6 dipping sauces, the milk, dark, white, caramel, salted caramel and hazelnut. The doughnuts were hot and crunchy, so good!
Been here before but haven't gone upstairs, such a nice quiet upstairs where you can have a nice chats and desserts! San churros is always good at any location, and they have gluten free options !!
Have visited here on several occasions most recently after the gym (omg the irony) but also often post dinner on lygon for a spot of ice cream, a peanut butter melt (the peanut butter spoon is a must have add on) and/or a serve of delicious churros. I am so used to the taste of churros from this chain that I actually couldn't even enjoy the real thing when I was in Spain. My other recommendations include the choc mint shake and trying out the chocolate truffles as they are very decadent yet not astronomical price wise. A fail safe option
Small shop with upstair and footpath seatings. Friendly staff. The Churros were crispy outside, yet still soft inside (cooked better than other San Churros). The mocha was too sweet, can't really taste the coffee at all. I find that most drinks are very sweet, except the coffees. My favourite is the Spanish latte, its expresso with condense milk (SWEET!). $$
I love San Churro and I love their vegan options! I had a my way Sunday with all vegan options (see picture) and it was delicious!!! I can't believe this is all vegan! Yumyumyumyumyum
So a friend of mine had a voucher for churros which was otherwise for 20 bucks. Well I was lucky ! 😍
We happily ordered Churros for two with chocolate dip, salted caramel dip and some strawberries. It was a delicious delicious delicious treat. The first bite of these pretty fried dough pastries coated with sugar and dips took me to another level of foodgasm! ☺️🤗😇 Super yummy in my tummy and the salted caramel dip is a must must try. 😍
The place is spacious, you can sit outside or inside on the ground floor and upstairs as well, but I'd suggest you grab a table outside only if the weather's pleasant.
Pretty place attracting pretty people for pretty food. :)
Churros taste okay and weren't too oily or overcooked. Service was prompt and good.
Not much to complain tbh since I'm here only to claim my free bday churros. haha 😜😜😜
great place for dessert and specially enjoy the thick spanish hot chocolate for a winter night out. They also have outdoor seatings which is great.
Churros is basically just some fried sticks that you can eat with chocolate sauce. They are not for everyone, some people find it too plain and tasteless. However, if you like chocolate, why not give churros a try. I think chocolate sauce push the experience up a notch. I tried churros with milk chocolate sauce before and thought I would try something new. Last time I went for churros with white and dark chocolate sauces and I found the white and milk chocolate taste better on churros than dark. It is just for me though. By the way san churros caramel chocolate is so nice. It is perfect for cold weather.
Always serve the best hot chocolate and their strawberry bizcocho is the most delicious dessert ever. Really nice churros too. Heaps of yummy options to choose from
Prefer Koko Black as I find the chocolate to be cheaper in quality. Much better value though as the servings are much larger. Worth a go to see if it's your taste.
I love churros! ❤️
So when I had the opportunity to eat at this talked-about churros place, I got kind of excited. The place is actually a bit small on the inside, but there are more tables and chairs outside and on the second floor.
Aaand they have a variety of offerings aside from their churros including chocolates, truffles, coffee, gelato, etc. etc. However, for this visit, I settled for just the churros.
Churros were served nice and hot. Crispy with just a hint of softness on the inside. They were kind of small and thin, dusted with powdered sugar. I did like their variety of dips though. Caramel, dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate! I loved the milk chocolate one the most, but they were all good! 😊
Great service with good smooth coffee. It was a bit weak for my liking however the chocolate accompanying it complemeted it well. Price is within the Carlton range.

Went here to buy the churros with dark chocolate dipping sauce. The churros was served very warm and crisp inside and outside. They also have a good customer service:)
Nice place with a cosy upstairs area. The Churros were pretty good and I really liked the Spanish caramel sauce.
Same as every other. You know what you can expect from this place if you've been to another San Churro somewhere else. It's a nice place and has great churros which is what they are known for. The staff are usually okay but sometimes they can be not so attentive. The Churros are really all I go here for. I've had a salted caramel shake once before and I didn't enjoy it, it wasn't because it was from here but more because I just didn't enjoy the flavour, I wasn't a fan but I'm sure if you're a Salted caramel shake fan, you may enjoy it from here.
Go for the Churros if you are in the area.
I Love San Churros. Every time we visit Lygon St we come to San Churro for dessert. I adore Churros and I always get a craving for them and these are done perfectly. They also have some great drinks. If you like rich desserts you'll love San Churro!!!
Churro's for one and a hot skinny latte this morning! My first churro's experience, not bad at all. Very crunchy, dipping milk chocolate sauce was not bad also. :)
Chocolate lovers paradise. Friendly efficient service
Beautiful chocolate drink. This is our favourite place for a hot chocolate drink after an Italian meal along Lygon St nearby. The chocolate drink is beautiful, with full chocolate flavour. Our favourite is the Classic Spanish, even though Naranja the one with orange flavour is quite nice too. Dependending on who makes it, sometimes it can be either too sweet or too watery. I always ask them to make our drink thick and not too sweet.
On a hot day, the Cold Hot Chocolate version is refreshing, and still has full chocolate flavour.
I would do unspeakable things.... ...for their Spanish hot chocolate. It is the perfect cure to a cold day!
Cannot resist going back. One of the best places to go for a dessert. The churros are by far the best in Melbourne, chain or independent. And the dipping sauces they come with are luxurious - my personal favourite is the caramel one. Hot chocolates are superb - rich and creamy, though they may be a little heavy for some since they use the dipping sauce in the chocolate (which is okay, they have a hot chocolate without this on the menu). Definitely rate higher than Lindt and Koko Black, and about on par with Max Brenner. The Azteca has a good chilli kick, but my personal favourite is the Hot and Cold. Cannot stop going back!
Best of two worlds. This is the sort of place you would come to when you can't decide if you wanted a donut or a hot chocolate.
I find their hot chocolate a bit too heavy and it's like drinking pure melted chocolate. The spanish donuts are yums when the oil use to deep fry it is still fresh. Overall, we still like this place but it definately need consistency in their donuts.
If you have a sweet tooth, and love Spanish dessert then this is the place I would recommend. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I always enjoy my warm cappuccino with Spanish churros. A perfect place to treat yourself with something sweet.
After having food from Ziyka Restaurant always have desserts for San Churro. The staffs was so good and nice. Overall the churros was nice and also trying their Creme Brulee. It’s always a nice place to visit and enjoy dessert. Recommend.
The guy behind the counter was actually super nice and was really helpful. If you’re in the mood for a sugar overload, this place has some nice outdoor seating and heaps of options to satisfy your cravings. I recommend trying out the dark hot chocolate, it is still sweet af but delicious nevertheless. Also, the decorations inside are some cool antiques.
Had a lovely afternoon tea with some friends here. The gentleman who served us was very kind and helpful, as well as very quick with our delicious churros! Was also easy to add the Unidays $10 promo, which my friends and I really appreciated. Thank you!
Service was a bit slow, but dessert and coffee were great
