We found East to be strangely empty on the Saturday night we visited them. Moorish sesame prawn toast and probably the juiciest pork dumplings I've had in ages led us on to a superb main course selection. Our cocktails were well made and though slightly highly priced definitely hit the right spot.
I was have a dinner with my family to celebrate the chinese new year in this restaurant in yesterday, the incredible design of this restaurant shown the luxuries of modernity between western and eastern. We were Sitting in the window side table where have a wonderful view of the lt collins st.
The menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering starters. We had the juicy pork dumplings and spicy chilli wonton as the start, that was amazing specially the spicy wonton we love the spicy chilli sauce so much.
The main course consisted of a Pork Spare Ribs , Mongolian Beef, Fish Fillet with Ginger and the Frangrant Duck, which really thrilled us. And we can feel that the chinese fusion food can doing like this awsome followed by a delicious deep fried bannna served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert.
All the product were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of home-made food. The chefs take great care in selecting the best quality ingredients.
What a pity that the service does not accompany the high quality of the cooking. You can hardly get a smile out of the staff. Thankfully the Restaurant Manger, he is a nice person, he was nicely to suggest the awsome chinese food to us.
I had a pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavours. For this reason I highly recommend going to this restaurant.
Great place and food. These soup dumplings have thin skins and a decent amount of fragrant broth inside, which makes them almost as good as the ones on offer at the Din Tai Fung.
