We found East to be strangely empty on the Saturday night we visited them. Moorish sesame prawn toast and probably the juiciest pork dumplings I've had in ages led us on to a superb main course selection. Our cocktails were well made and though slightly highly priced definitely hit the right spot.
We had the tasting menu. Being an Chinese, the food was very average. Too sweet and greesy. If there is a sparate review for platting and presentation, I would probably give it 3/5.

Great place and food. These soup dumplings have thin skins and a decent amount of fragrant broth inside, which makes them almost as good as the ones on offer at the Din Tai Fung.
We called in without a booking and were warmly received with the proviso we were out within a certain time. Dumplings were as good as the best we've ever had - service was good - we've made a booking for next week!
Fantastic dumplings, great wine list and food to enjoy with friends. Well worth a visit.
