FJ Cafe is my go to coffee hit in the mornings and lunch spot when I have time. Staff are great and friendly, coffee is fantastic and food is always clean and tasty. Only downside is the wait at times during peak coffee rush but 100% well worth it and no complaints for an extra min or 2, we go in a group 10 usually so the guys on the machine are great. The only other comment I'll make(nothing at all to do with the cafe food or staff) is the constant complaining from students from the nearby college about no more hot dogs, potato cakes now 1.50 and the like. I've read their reviews on Zomato as well.
Seriously, grow up and get over it - the previous owners had that food available to stop hearing these students cry and moan being the only food that cost close to nothing on the menu period. I haven't seen a place nearby that even offer that. Complaning about 50 cents in the city? wow. Also, keep hearing from them about how great were the previous owners, wake up! They renovated the place to get rid of it, ofcourse they'd be your best friend and do as you ask, they wont see you again..
I come here for my daily breakfast and coffee, Highly recommend the breakfast wrap and the coffee is honestly the best in Melbourne! You know you have found a good place when your met with great customer service and staff who remember you by your name

Moved offices a few months ago and found this nice cosy cafe. Been coming now for a few weeks and the coffee is great and consistent, staff friendly and food always fresh. Wasnt sure why all the students next door kept complaining about the place but recently overheard them whinging about the price of the potato cakes going up 50 cents. Enough said.
This is my new hot spot for my coffee fix! Love this place! I've just recently started coming here regularly and the boys on the coffee already remember my order. Staff are always so friendly and service is fast. Salads are super delicious, and breakfast served all day. Awesome!
It's hard to find a place in the city that keeps up with the busy city life , Went here today and was taken back on how friendly and efficient the staff where , The food was amazing and I will be coming back for sure
I love this place! I come here often for food, which is always fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Def recommend their pasta, it's delicious and very hard to get as it gets snapped up v.quick. The salad here is always really good, crisp and fresh.
Popped by for a hot drink and Danish in the morning. Friendly staff with a nice dine in area and tables out front too. A good range of ready to toast / takeaway brekkie wraps and sandwiches too.
i love this place. the staff are so friendly and kind and they make me feel so special. they have a beautiful family dynamic and make everyone feel as if they are apart of their family too! there was a girl that served me today wearing a checkered sweater and she had the best energy. also, the barista is so funny and nice and the coffee is amazing. service is so fast! love it so much, i will be coming back here again soon!
My number 1 go-to cafe at this end of the city, make that the whole city! Lovely staff are always up for a chat, great coffee and excellent matcha lattes plus they use the best organic oat milk! Also the best value coffee loyalty card I have ever seen on top of very reasonable prices.

Long, narrow, and packed full of customers just after lunch. These are good signs to stop for a sip. Inside we found friendly smiling service, and baristas that cared enough to double check which order was getting the vanilla syrup. The coffee comes out strong here, so be warned, but if it's punch your looking for this place is worth a taste. Very happy with this.
Pleasantly surprised by this cafe discovery during my Melbourne trip, been here twice already within a week 😎 friendly staff, lovely food and very nice coffee. What more can a traveler ask for!
