A great korean bbq that offers a wide range of wagyu cuts and other meats.
The fried rice cakes with the mansae signature sweet chilli sauce is great here. Sticky, sweet and paired with the crisp rice cakes.
We did love how the sides and sauces were refillable and the staff were very friendly, having flipped and cooked the meat for us.
The wagyu Short rib mb9+ and wagyu oyster blade was so tender and juicy with the best marbling which was smoothe and juicy.
The scotch fillet mb 9+ was quite an experience. The wagyu was as marbled that with each bite the juicy and buttery goodness would ooze out of the meat. Tender and loaded with so much flavour.
Yangneoum Galbo was the only marinated meat we ordered. The chefs special sauce is marinated for 48hrs and has a buttery and well flavoured. The texture is quite textured compared to the others.
If you're after an alcoholic drink and looking for something sweet, I'd recommend the peach rice wine punch, sweet with blended peach and a great drink with kbbq.
great selection of meats and everything was as soft as a cotton. food was def on the sweeter side even the tartare, but can’t say i hate it. def will be back.
Im a huge fan of kbbq and this place is definitely my favourite so far. Meat is delicious, great service and vibe all around. Be sure to make bookings to avoid long wait for the tables. Do yourself a favour and come give this place a try.
My favourite Korean bbq at the moment. The beef are so delicious, they melt in your mouth. Their fried rice cake are a must order too. Crispy outside and soft inside. Service is fast and friendly. The staffs will cook the meat for you. Reasonable pricing as well. Highly recommended.
The best Korean BBQ in the city!
Been here for few times and always satisfied! The waitresses are friendly, the meats are so tender and well marinated. They are also generous with the side dishes.

Korean seems to be very popular in Melbourne at the moment. Kansas is not the cheapest Korean BBQ but one of the better ones.
My partner and I came here for Valentines dinner 2020.
From the get-go, the restaurant gave us super personalised service. We received calls a week prior to the dinner reservation about deposits for the set menus, as well as texts about changes to menus and names of the clients coming to eat.
When we got to the restaurant (which was conveniently accessible by public transport), we did have to wait around 10 minutes on plastic stools that did not suit the restaurant. However, once seated, the service by wait staff was excellent. They did not rush our meals and were polite and not pushy. To our delight, our names were written on the menu and each course was explained to us well.
The Wagyu steak and seafood apps were so fresh and tender, we would definitely be back for more. The dessert was a bit melted when it came to us, but the food was still amazing and delightful.
Overall this is a 4.5 / 10! Would definitely come back 😍
Very good taste! And the restaurant environment is clean and tidy, not much smoke. The staff are all very friendly and they will help you cook the BBQ, so don’t worry about it. Will come back and recommend to others.

One of the best Korean BBQ restaurants in Melbourne. The service was quick and efficient. Make sure to make a booking to avoid disappointment!
One of my favourite things about this joint is there tofu side dish. I love tofu and that side dish was amazing. They were also very generous with refills. The cuts of meat for the BBQ was exceptional quality, and the seafood and crab stew was mildly spicy like we requested.

It was my first time me and my partner had been to Mansae Korean BBQ & Bar and all I can say was that it was great!
We had chosen has Happiness Meat Set for 2 ppl as well as the Tteokbokki and Kimchi Jigae which filled us up perrrfectly. The set was priced at $85 which was definitely worth it for the amount of meat dishes you get.
The service was so good! A staff member would come at least every minute or less to help cook the meat and get what we need. They were all so friendly and as soon as we finished our meat dish, they were already putting on the next so we were never waiting for food.
Everything was cooked to perfection and the sides were served in good portions. Very pleased with my first visit and it wouldn’t be my last! Thank you to all the staff for always being on top of it and making it a delightful experience 😊
Just eat here, the staff is very friendly. I order happiness set and haemul pajeon. So tasty, the meat is so tender and we can ask the kimchi anytime. Very recommended

Mansae is my new favourite restaurant in melb! Every time I’m here I get the happiness set for 2 and would usually spend 40 bucks. I’m not big on kbbq cause I hate how my hair smells after going to a kbbq place but this place makes it worth it. Legit every bite is so tasty!! I wasn’t the biggest fan of the japchae cause I personally found it too sweet, and the seafood pancake wasn’t great as well. But the wagyu meat they provide are of great quality and I am totally in love with it! Do keep in mind that you have to make a reservation in advance to prevent from waiting so long. Just do yourselves a favour and give this restaurant a try it’s sooooo good. It’s my FAV restaurant.

My favourite KBBQ at the moment! First time I went here the meat quality was amazing. You are paying for quality. Seems like a cool hangout spot for most folks as there is a huge waitline if you don't make a booking prior arriving.
I know this is a BBQ place but I was so impressed with their entrees and other korean dishes (gim mar ee 김말이 is must try, and beef sashimi, but everything we've had was good), very fresh and made to perfection. Incredible service, with servers cooking for you as they should in our BBQ culture (if you can manage to not poke at the beautiful meat yourself haha). And the meat.. super high quality!! I know really great butchers around Melbourne so I often host korean BBQ at home, but if my hubby and I feel like the best quality meat, we come here. So if you can only afford 1 korean meal, then this is the place to be! Do book, there's usually a queue.
The quality of the meal was very high, we ordered the happiness set for 2 which came with 4 different meats. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The service was friendly and we will be back!

The meat is just perfect , the amount of food. The drinks. The refills on the side dishes.

We had a very enjoyable Sunday dinner here recently. I definitely recommend making a booking. What I loved straight away was the modern layout of the restaurant. It was spacious, with nice decor and good AC.
We ordered:
1 x Wagyu Short Rib mb 9+
1 x Wagyu Oyster Blade mb 9+
1 x Wagyu Scotch Fillet mb 9+
1 x Kimchi Pancake
2 x BongBong (grape drink)- we used the zomato gold offer for these!
The short rib was by far our favourite cut as it was so fatty and melted in our mouths. The other cuts were okay. I liked that the cuts came already cut up, making the cooking process easier because we didn't have to use the scissors. BBQ was definitely a lovely experience. The kimchi pancake also turned out to be the best kimchi pancake I've ever had. As someone who has low tolerance for spicy food, it was a plus that the pancake wasn't too spicy. It was a nice thickness too, nice and crispy, and went well with the sauce.
Side dishes such as kimchi are refillable at no cost, which was another plus!
Service was great, with very smiley and attentive staff who occasionally help with grilling the meat, but cooking it ourselves was easy anyway so no real need.
This has become our favourite Korean BBQ joint, and we'll definitely be coming back. 5 stars!
Food is delicious every time I go
Food was amazing but we were limited to only an hour which I thought was pretty unreasonable. I felt a bit rushed while we were eating. All other aspects were great - definitely make a booking in advance to avoid long lines
Probably my favourite KBBQ in Melbourne! Although you would need to book ahead of time on weekends and for dinners since this place can get packed.
A bit on the pricier side, but comes with excellent taste as well. The meat tasted amazing and the sides were also great. Tried the beef tartare as well which was fresh.
Service was quick and the place is great if you’re with large groups.
Been to a lot of Korean BBQ and Mansae is the best for value. Great quality of Wagyu for very competitive price. Will be back again.

I've eaten my fair share of KBBQ & I must admit, this is the best BBQ I've ever had in Melbourne. I was sceptical at first because I read multiple reviews saying that the staff would rush you etc. which is something I absolute hate when it comes to KBBQ. But we were not rushed one bit! That being said, my partner and I are quick eaters. We tend to eat most meats cooked medium and not cooked till its gone all dry and hard.
The food: we ordered the happy set ($80) plus an additional plate of ox tongue and cold noodles. All the meats were so good! The quality was spot on! The marinades were so delicious - once it hit the BBQ you could immediately smell the deliciousness. Cold noodles could not fault. I mean, you cant really stuff that up
Service: was really good! Everyone was going around to each table to make sure the BBQ was cooking the meats properly.
Overall: you should book in advance because it gets really packed. I definitely will be back when I want some quality meat with my BBQ and the pricing is decent!!
The flavours on their marinated meats is so delicious! The staff was polite enough to tell us we had over ordered and by the end of our meal we are VERY much in-debt to her input. My friend and I have already decided we must come back to try the other meals. A MUST for kbbq!
This place is amazing! The service was so good - they helped to cook and always know what you need! Zomato gold is working here to get 2+2 on drinks.
We orders a lot of stuff but I guess the BBQ overall is better than the other dishes. Budae jigae is not that spicy and lack a bit flavour. But all the beef bbq were really nice. Especially the 갈비.
There’s a reason why this place is ALWAYS busy and you have to book.... it’s friggin’ amazingly delicious, the Wagyu is sooo creamy and the pork belly is relish! This if Korean BBQ done so right! I’m never disappointed when I come here :)
We had a very enjoyable session at Mansae Korean BBQ, we had the 2 for 1 set and the soy marinated scotch fillet. Can’t say anything bad about the place & food, it was all right on point. Definitely worth checking out.
