The moment I saw this on the menu, I ordered it immediately. For someone who loves benny, my expectations were set high, safe to say the dish did not disappoint 👍🏻 The egg was poached perfectly, it was runny when cut open. It has a layer of potato mash and bacon - all went very well together. The bagel adds an extra point as it was crispy yet soft when I bit into it. The hollandaise sauce added a nice touch to the dish.
Waffles 3/5 ⭐️
The chocolate waffle was alright for me. I wasn’t too sure if the maple syrup went well with the chocolate waffle base. The kiwi & orange didn’t go very well given the entire dish was on the sweeter side. I guess the sourness from the fruits just wasn’t the right complement at all.

Smooth and creamy matcha latte infused generously with quality matcha powder. I requested for lactose free milk and the staff happily obliged. I love how the taste was not compromised altho I asked for lactose free milk.

I was recommended by a blogger to try this "very Melbourne" brunch. It show the spirit of Melbourne's multi-culture environment.
When I just stepped into the cafe, the stunning wall painting attracted me, which is quite Melbourne typical street art. (Heard from the staff, all the wall painting finished by two street artists)
And when we went through the menu, there are not only traditional "Aussie Breaky" but also some Asian elements, like poke bowl (Japan style) Chicken Bao (Korean or Chinese maybe) and Lamb Skewers. My friend had Spicy chicken bao which suprised her and "had her"!!! I love the sauce as well but not really my favourite.
I really recommend beaf burger. Good size, and not like most restaurant to use big and stick bread to feed you full, they use quite soft but creamy taste burger bun. The amazing part is the slow cooked beef which is REALLY juicy.It is not quite that a high level, fancy, crowed Star Restaurant. But they just made it very cozy and neighbour friendly cafe.
I will try waffle next time, it has been high rated on ins.
btw, try their home made smoothie. taste fresh and healthy lol

I had a wonderful experience brunching with my bestie here. Jane & Co is a little gem in Glenferrie Rd, Hawthorn.
As soon as you walk in to this cafe, you will notice the colourful &
beautiful artworks on the wall. The cafe has a very big space & lovely tables setting. We love the interior & cozy feels of this place.
I ordered BAGEL BENNY from the breakfast menu. This dish is so delicious & full of flavour. The braised beef cheek & chipotle hollandise are the star on this dish! I can’t wait to go back & have this dish again. So yummy!
My best friend ordered MIDDLE EASTERN SALAD W/ GRILLED CHICKEN & POACHED EGG.
OMG! 😱What an amazing salad! Again it’s full of flavour & the tahini chia dressing is the bomb! The portion of the dish is a good size, definitely will fill you up!
The smoothie that I ordered is really nice too & it’s the most popular one in this cafe. It’s MISS JANE (Mango, blueberries,chia seed, coconut & almond milk). It is very refreshing & it matches well with our dishes.
Overall we love our experience in Jane & Co. The service is friendly & fast. We will definitely return to this cafe when we are around the area. Thank you for having us! 😊

FOOD: We ordered the Bagel Benny & Waffle Stack and they both were absolutely amazing! We wanted to try the savoury and the sweet 😍 The ‘Bagel Benny’ was so full of flavour and stacked to the brim with deliciousness! The bagel was toasted to perfection, the bacon was cooked so nicely, the braised beef cheek was flavourful and the chipotle hollandaise was the truly phenomenal! We also added some extra chorizo and I would DEFINITELY recommend adding it but it was a little oily however, the flavour was ON POINT! The ‘Waffle Stack’ was so unique because the waffles were chocolate waffles and the seeds that came with it was such a great touch! It wasn’t overly sweet and the fruits added a great tart touch! Great for any sweet tooth!
COFFEE: We ordered the Soy Latte & Matcha Latte! The coffee art was beautiful and the flavour of the coffee for the soy latte was great and the matcha latte was tremendous!
SERVICE: Lovely service! The staff at Jane & Co was full of smiles and they were really attentive and pleasant! It truly made the brunch experience so much better 🥰
All in all, Jane & Co. is a really cozy cafe that serves up amazing food for any person and impeccable service! I would definitely return if I were around the area and I can definitely say it was worth the travel 😍 Thank you so much for the invitation ❤️

Absolutely loved our experience brunching at Jane and Co in Hawthorn. This cafe is not too far away from our place also within easy reach to Glenferrie station or tram stop.
We ordered ‘The Bagel Benny’ (braised beef cheek, wilted spinach, grilled bacon, potato rosti, poached eggs, chipotle hollandaise on toasted bagel), ‘Dukkah & Avo’ (smashed avo w/feta & fresh herbs, capsicum salsa, beetroot hummus, dukkah & poached egg on multigrain toast) with ‘Hawthorn Society’ smoothie, and the `Waffle Stack` for dessert. All the dishes had amazing flavors and were presented beautifully!
The highlight for us was certainly the beef cheek bagel! It was so tasty and flavorful, the beef cheek was succulent, tender, and the flavor really came up upon the first bite. The bagel had the perfect and chewiness. The hollandaise sauce ties every ingredient together - perfect dish! And with the potato rosti in the stack, the portion is really quite generous. Yummy!
The Waffle Stack was also pretty tasty! The texture of the chocolate waffle was soft - not too dense which we love, not overly sweet even though it had the ice cream and maple syrup, and perfectly balanced with the acidic raspberry compote. Perfect dessert!
Overall, we really like this cafe! Space is huge, we like the art paintings on the wall, the food was tasty and superb, the price is right, close to public transports, and lastly, the staff were so friendly and accommodating, and made us feel very welcome.
Our tip: choose the window seat near the front entrance :)
Give it a go and we think you’ll like this little gem in Hawthorn. Thank you for having us!
A spacious, healthy cafe with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. I loved the fresh and veggie-heavy Middle Eastern salad with pumpkin and a creamy tahini dressing. The corn and broccoli fritters were the best bite I had. I was pleased to see they were served as hearty slabs rather than the small, round fritters that cafes usually offer. In addition to my meals, I tried two smoothies - The choc peanut butter and banana as well as the berry and mango. I was expecting to like the first the most but it was a bit watery for my liking. The second, on the other hand, was incredibly thick and creamy and sweet. I'd gladly try it again.
Jane & Co is a café located in Hawthorn on Glenferrie Road, serving up fantastic and high quality meals for breakfast and lunch.
Walking in, we were greeted by two friendly staff members who then showed us to our table. The café was relatively quiet, most likely due to the cold weather. I really admired the decor of the restaurant. There was an artistic mural on the wall as you walked in and plenty of seating for patrons.
We ordered the Middle Eastern Salad with grilled chicken and the Poke Bowl. For drinks, we ordered two coffees. The Middle Eastern Salad was absolutely delicious. The flavours of the salad complimented each other very well and left me feeling satisfied. The Poke Bowl was absolutely delightful! The fried egg was cooked well and the seared salmon was exquisite. I also couldn’t complain about the coffees.
Today’s experience was very enjoyable and we look forward to returning soon.
Their waffle stack was beautifully done as well as well as their bagel Benny which made it very different to all other cafes. Their smoothie juice is a must as it’s freshly made & service was rather quick. I did find the meals small however the quality did make up for it.

It’s got a great feel with impressive artwork and menu to match.
I was lucky enough to try the waffles and the french toast. The presentation of each was incredible but so was the taste. So many flavours but they all complimented each other really well.
I look forward to returning here one day soon 😊
We were around this area and thought of trying out this cafe - here’s what we thought!
Deconstructed soft shell crab tacos - this was an interesting dish at the name of the dish suggested! The soft shell crab was crunchy and juicy and having them with the charred corn, baby cos, salsa and kimchi were clever additions to make it complex and tasty!
Twice baked french toast - this was my fave dish of the day as the french toast melted in my mouth with the other elements and it was such a memorable experience! The salted caramel ice cream, berry compote, kiwi fruit and maple syrup went so well together! And the bonus bit was the walnut brownie! It was like a deconstructed french toast that was extra special! 💚
Overall experience was a fun and tasty and would love to visit again! 😊
