I've eaten here twice now and both times have been fantastic! Really large portions, great flavours and always super fresh ingredients! Prices are very reasonable and even cheaper than more expensive Thai restaurants with lower quality meals. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I highly recommend!
It was our wedding anniversary, Tuesday night, excellent service and excellent food. The menu was perfect and the food was exactly as pictured in the menu. We’ll be back
I've ordered here a few times.
My husband and I ordered 2 entrees, 2 main meals and 2 large rices = $56.80.
All our meals were so flavoursome. It was the first time my husband tried a curry and he loved it..
One of my favourite places to get a Massaman Curry.
Only 2 really minor things. My husband and I ordered the same main meals but he asked for his to be gluten free. Unfortunately they didn't mark which one was the gluten free meal. Also our meals weren't hot when they arrived they were just warm. Again Minor things, but all in all we were again left very impressed with the food/quality and how quick the food was delivered.
I will definitely order from here again or actually dine in soon and bring some friends along so they can enjoy this delicious food.
I enjoyed it so much, I saved some so that I can enjoy some more of it tomorrow for lunch.. ;)
I could almost give this place a 5/5 plus is BYO!
1 X entree + 2 X main + rice and roti = $63
Nothing to fault. The food was all amazing. Entree was pork spring rolls which were some of the best I had had. Normally we have spring rolls that are large and over done with other fillings. These were plain and bang on. For main we had the Massamum Curry (chicken) which had awesome punch of flavor and a generous amount of chicken and Soft Shell Crab w/ garlic which I must say the crab was battered heavily which over powered the smaller portions of crab but the larger pieces were great.
I love this Thai restaurant in Essendon - and there are quite a few in the area - but this one just stands out for me. I love their roti bread, for a start, and usually switch between their green curry - which is delicious and can be spiced up if you like it hot - and pad thai, which doesn't have any strange, additive aftertaste like a lot of pad thai that I've had in Melbourne. If you've experienced that, you'll know what I mean.
Blooming Orchids is also in a very handy location at the base of Bulla rd. They make everything fresh, so you have time to grab a few groceries if you're getting a takeaway!
What a wonderful experience! The food was amazing and tasty. The restaurant was so nicely decorated - even the bathroom was impressive! To top off a wonderful evening the restaurant helped us bring out a birthday cake and even gave us birthday card and gift! We will be back very soon!
As I have been here a several times. The foods here are well adapted with local taste and style. Most of the foods are not too spicy but still represent the authenticity of Thai food, along with some healthy ingredients. They really emphasis on the aesthetics of the dishes such as arranging veggies, placing foods and the orientation of dishes when are served. This makes me can feel the 'heart of service' as well as the atmosphere itself. I may find that the interior here gives me a feel of cozy and want to be belonged to. Also the way how they use the interior to emphasis the foods with darker atmosphere. This makes me can taste the foods much more stimulating. As my observations from many restaurants, here is quite hygienic as I can see the staffs always clean up everywhere. So this makes me feel confident that taste is not the only thing that they deliver for clients.
Probably, I would visit more often when it is possible. And I would recommend the others to visit here as well.
Replacing "The Emerald Buddha" this Thai restaurant retains much of the same charm and value, whilst adding a new style to an older decor. The menu is kept to the basic Thai food and the prices are reasonable. The staff are lovely and extremely helpful, and the presentation of the dine in food is lovely. My chicken satay came with an orchid on the side, how cute! It's touches like these alongside the cute decor that made me happy to eat here. Would come again.
Awesome Thai food in Melbourne!
We dined here for lunch today. I really enjoyed the welcoming and friendly atmosphere here. The food tasted very good and well-presented. You must try some curry with rice.
