4-stars for what I would call a Jekyl-and-Hyde experience here with my wife and bub this morning. We arrived around 1030 and enquired about a high-chair; when we were advised by the lady serving that they did not have one, we were turning to leave before a seemingly more senior male staff member interjected and went to retrieve the available chair. We then ordered brunch from the lady serving, a hot chocolate and mocha for drinks, a chicken sandwich and steak sandwich for food, then found seats near the high chair which had been kindly set-up by the gentleman staff member.
We then watched on for over 10 minutes as others who had arrived after us ordered and received their drinks before the same male staff member checked on whether we had ordered, checked what our order was, then investigated why it had yet to arrive - a short time later, the drinks appeared just after with our food and deep apologies from the male staff member.
The food was tasty, no-frills, generously proportioned and good value for money, the drinks were ok; the mocha tasted more like a straight coffee and required a couple of sugars to fit with my palate, but I've had worse.
Sensing through our interactions the sour taste the lost drink order had left, the male staff member continued to bend over backwards to improve our experience overall, something which was warmly appreciated. The cafe was busy throughout the time we were there and clearly has a loyal following of local workers and residents. Is it worth a visit? The food is good value, aside from that one member of staff with 2 blemishes to her record, the service was good, the drinks were ok without being great; we'd consider returning at some stage in the future, but there are also plenty of solid cafe offerings nearby.
Delicious burger although not much of a crust, decent value, spacious interior, friendly staff and quick service. Great for a quick lunch during your work break.
It's a nice cafe. Friendly staff. The soup can be hit and miss. Good range of wraps & baguettes. Coffee is very good. Looking forward to trying breakfast
This is by far my favourite lunch spot. Myself and my coworkers eat at moose every day. Even though there are so many places around, there's no where quite like moose. The staff are amazing, they bring such a fantastic vibe to the cafe!
As for the food, it's always a winner. I highly recommend the tandoori salad!

Great selection of spread, we catered from Moose for work morning tea, they gave us a great selection. They coffee is good as well. Would definitely go back.
Loving this amazingly low kilojoule (820-850kj) Poached Chicken Salad at Moose cafe. It is the perfect lunch for a clean eater. Garnished with lemon juice and your option of chilli flakes & or Greek yoghurt. Served hot or cold it is the way to go for clean eating & optimum nutrition.
Back from our holiday and it’s time to get back into our amazing habit of delicious breakfast! On a quick venture out near the office, we decided to check out the Moose Bar & Cafe as their menu sounded amazing and healthy! Just what we were after from another big holiday!. ATMOSPHERE & SERVICE
BEST COFFEE IN SOUTH YARRA
With Moose being my regular coffee shop for almost 2 years, I didn't realise how good there coffee was until I had to move for work. I'm not sure if the other coffee out there is that bad or these guys coffee just makes everyone else look bad

BEST CAFE GOING AROUND. Best coffee in all of melbourne! The food is so fresh and massive portions for the price! The owner makes an effort to know everyones name, it makes for a really great vibe! Defiantly will be a return customer!

Moose is a hidden gem in south yarra, u can trust and choose any meal or coffee here, they won't let u down. We ordered takeaway here almost twice a week when we lived in south yarra, and Moose is the only cafe that we missed so much since we move out. Moose could always provide tasty n quality food with the best price. Than you for the mixed berry smoothie, thank you for the protein ball and the muffin. Wish all the best to Johnny and his team :)
Had breakfast here and I have to say if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Food was excellent, had the smashed Avo and a very good flat white. The service was just so friendly and efficient, one of the best service experiences I’ve had. Highly recommended.
A hidden gem. Open early, huge portions, cheap and amazing. Topped off with super friendly staff which remember your order. Highly recommend.
They have the loveliest people running this place. I love the welcoming, cheerful vibe of the cafe as they make it a point to always remember your name + order when you come in. Their chai latte is one of the best in the area and their brekkie foods are affordable and generous in portion. Moose never disappoints. 🙂
