I ordered off the app using a voucher. As there were some issues with the app, they were happy to take my order again in store and deduct the voucher manually (even though it was an app-only voucher). The woman who helped me (who I assume was the manager) was very friendly and efficient, and also asked to record the issue so that it could be solved for the future. Given how busy it was, I was surprised she offered this much care and time to me.
My noodle salad was very yummy as were the sweet potato fries and they were very filling for lunch.
Decided to try their bao range as EatClub was offering 2 free baos (tofu & roast pork belly) to new & existing users.
Bao:
Tofu $4.9
Roast Pork Belly $5.5
Really loved the roast pork belly bao as it made just right but the tofu bao was really disappointing as it’s was rather dry and lacking in tofu. I honestly felt like after a certain point, I was just eating the baoz

The 4 star review is reflective of the quick service, good pricing and spice levels of my BBH. I ordered these noodles thinking that Vietnamese franchises tend to go easy on the spice. Rolld proved me wrong - it was spicy, the beef didn’t taste Haney
Absolutely love this place! Modern Viet street food, super fresh, plenty to choose from and soooo yummy! The line is always out the door during lunch!

I have been trying a lot of Vietnamese salad recently. I decided to try poached chicken breast salad here today. It was really good. It also comes with prawn crackers. It goes so well together. I really like it.
Food is always fresh and quick. Heaps of options. Service is always efficient and polite. Love the rice paper rolls (agree with others and not super keen on new dipping sauce packaging though)
One of my favourite lunch spots in the cbd. Always a long queue at lunchtime but worth the wait in my opinion. The soldiers are always fresh and the pho is fantastic and tastes the same as pho in Vietnam!
This is where It all began, the original Roll’d store. A constant lunch favourite amongst the office towers that still draws lunch queues although nothing like it did a few years ago (most probably due to improved operating efficiencies and more local competition ). The food here is always made fresh and service is quick and efficient for your grab and go lunch. Still one of the best cup of Pho around and for $6.50 really reasonable. Low carb rice paper rolls always a healthy choice although prices have more than doubled since opening.
Are all the Roll’d venues the same? Kind of. Sort of. This one seems even busier than most. The Dear Luncher opted for the Viet Salad with lemongrass beef, and FMD the amount of beef supplied for this dish was immense. The ability to add a side and drink for an additional $5 represents superb value folks. This particular glutton added the chicken ribs and a pepsi. The Viet salad was fresh and crisp. The added fresh chilli adds a nice kick. Roll’d is consistently good for a lunch. A reliable option when in doubt.
Roll'd CBW is my go-to lunch spot if I'm in a hurry. Things you can always guarantee on are: good flavour, fairly quick service and friendly staff. I usually get the low-carb tofu soldiers which are always delicious, although the wrapping can sometimes be too sticky and I've frequently found them torn open when I've opened up my box. This is obviously disappointing but doesn't impact my lunch too much. Sometimes it's worse than others, and sometimes it's perfect. The Pho is always delicious and I like the fact they offer another low-carb option for you. The BBQ chicken banh mi is absolutely delicious and I love the fact they use pate, which some places seem to skip. All in all- a great quick lunch spot in the city!
Healthy and tasty Vietnamese food made to order right in front of your eyes. Gets really busy during lunch time. But you never have to wait too long. The rush says it all - good value for money and delicious. I had the chicken pho (sans the noodles and soup) and it was alright. Wouldn't mind trying out the Baos soon.
Hi,
I absolutely love the Chicken pho and highly recommend it! However, the one question that I haven't been able to get an answer for from the staff at Roll'd is whether the pho has added MSG to it. Not that it would stop me from buying it in future but I just want to know. Can someone from the management please confirm.
Thanks,
During my time in Melbourne they had a opening of roll'd in the cbd and decided to try and sample the spring roll salad. It was made fresh and of course being the grand opening had a long queue of people wanting to be served. They were quite efficient taking orders and giving buzzers to pick up the food. The salad with spring rolls was very tasty with fish sauce but more westernised then authentic Vietnamese which i don't seem to mind. Of course there is other better Vietnamese places but decent prices and good to get on the go.
Very good rolls :) nice service and for me very convenient location. My choice was fish barramundi & avocado and tofu :) definitely I will visit this place again.
Roll'd fan for sure. Roll'd is a fabulous as ever. Great service and amazing fresh products. Can't wait to go back again soon.
Love the Pho! Nice little lunch once a week. The Soldiers have too much vermicelli in them, need less and more herbs and protein, I probably wouldn't buy them again. The Chicken Pho however will always be a go to!
Delicious and fresh. This is a great spot for lunch. Always packed but worth the wait. Tasty duck salad
Vietnamese pork roll with crackling. Very yum Vietnamese pork roll, crackling, loads of fresh salad, herbs and sauces. Recommended
Cheap, quick and oh so tasty!. Have been here quite a few times now and it never ceases to amaze me how quickly they can keep their substantial queue moving. The staff are friendly but don't expect to have a chat with them when you place your order (look at the queue and you quickly understand why).
I always have the Uncle Pho with chicken and fresh chilli and it's amazing. The flavours are light and fresh and when you finish, you always feel full but never like you've overdone it.
Be warned, their fresh chilli can be strong! Especially when combined with the sriracha chilli sauce provided.
Have also had their soldiers in the past and love them. Big slices of meat throughout and the dipping sauces available are sensational.
If you haven't been, do yourself a favour and jump in the queue and give it a go. You won't be disappointed.
Happy with my lunch. They never disappoint with the B, BBQ chicken. Service is fast and all the staff are on to it. Well done. I will return.
Been looking for a good viet roll place in the CBD. Been to Roll'd many times trying about half the menu so far. The stand outs here are the crackling pork roll, the slopping roll (viet meatballs) and the soft shell crab rice paper rolls. The soft shell crab roll is best with the chilli mayo IMO. The only problem is the queues but get there slightly before 12pm and the problem is solved. One of the best in the city but I rate Bun Bun Bakery in Springvale for the best Viet Rolls in Melbourne.
Stopped by the new hardware lane store- fabulous!! The flavors are fresh and I felt I had eaten a healthy lunch. The soldiers are ah-mazing!
Very Fresh. The rice paper rolls contained wonderful combinations of meats and vegetables, and were a good size. The pho soup was presented nicely and was full of flavour. A busy place indeed... Needs more seating, though.
Amazing! This place has everything you need for a quick Vietnamese fix! Their prices are cheap and their service is impeccable! You know it's a great place to eat when there is a long queue, but don't worry folks, the line may look long but it goes quick.
Lotus root and duck goi is amazing, pho is delicious, rice paper rolls and yummy! Get there early o avoid long queues :)
If you like Vietnamese rolls you won't be disappointed. Best rolls this side of the CBD. Their take on the BBQ pork roll with crackling is delicious. The rice paper rolls are also really good. Be prepared to stand in a queue during weekday lunchtime, but its worth it! Love this place!
Love it! Rice paper rolls are so fresh, staff are friendly and vibrant and food is cheap! One of my fav places for lunch
Tremendous Tea. I'm not sure if its a good or bad thing, but the highlight of my trip to Roll'd was their peach iced tea. It was delicious! Much like fresh iced tea from the US where you'd add fruit/citrus and/or sugar to flavour. However, this was all done for you to a perfect balance and all for only $1.50 with additional food purchase. CBD drink bargain!
To complement the tea I enjoyed a traditional pork roll. It was fresh and tasty but could have benefited from additional pork filling (I honestly think I get more 'meat' on a Subway sub). Still, I walked away happy and full. Next time I go I'll give the rice paper rolls a try! From what I can tell Roll'd is worth more than one visit!!!
Fresh, Light & Delicious. I wasnt sure what to expect, as i have never had vietnamese before, but what i got was absolutely awesome! :D
I decided to check it out with my wife during the peak of lunchtime, and we were met with a queue out the door. However the line moved quite quickly, and we had already received the order list so we were well on our way.
I ordered the BBQ Chicken Buon, and my wife 3 BBQ chicken+sesame seed rice paper rolls. I think our meals were well priced, and it all came in under $20! The flavours and the freshness of the meals was outstanding, along with the cleanliness and the very warm and friendly staff made our dining experience even better.
I definitely look forward to going back for lunch, to try other items off the menu, probably the Classic Pork Roll.
Definitely 2 thumbs up, and maybe a toe.
Great work Roll'd crew.
Worth the wait. I heard about this place through Facebook, so I thought I would check it out. I was greeted by a long line outside. However, a very polite, well spoken girl gave me an order form and pencil to speed up the process. It took approximately 20mins to order.
There are numerous options for a meal. I had 2x Rice Paper Rolls, a side salad and an iced tea for about $11. Once you ordered, the process is quite quick, I think I waited about 5mins. In terms of taste, I found it awesome, everything is fresh and clearly has a home made taste to it. After speaking with the server, I found that the food was developed by his mum and aunty and that his sister had came up with one of the dipping sauces whilst preparing a family meal.
The food is clearly fresh, the decor is quite funky, the line is long, but worth the wait.
Wow..Delicious!. I loved it! I went for lunch had the Sloppy Meatball Baguette and the Soft Shell Crab/Avocado Rice Paper roll and both were just delicious! I've had my fair of Rice Paper Rolls from QV, Chadstone and along swanston restaurants and even home made ones! However, nothing compares to the Roll'd Rice Paper Rolls, it was just to die for!! I can't wait to go back and try the other menu items!!! Big Two Thumbs Up for Roll'd!
Roast Pork (with crackling) Baguette... Enough said!! Bloody brilliant!
Great concept. Had been anxiously awaiting the opening of Roll'd. Went today for their first day of business! A tiny bit chaotic but no doubt they'll have a tight ship running within a couple of weeks. Concept is similar to Miss Chu - fill out a little paper menu by ticking the boxes and order at the counter, and collect your food when they yell out your name. I wanted to tick everything but limited myself to a delicious crusty baguette with roast crackling pork (belly I think) with the usual suspects - coriander, carrots, chilli, etc. I also ordered a rice-paper roll - delicious lemongrass pork with large prawns and a side of nam pla sauce. The lot for $10!
The choice of rice-paper rolls is great and I'm always comforted when I can see into the kitchen and also you can see the rice-paper rolls being made near the counter where you order. Salads look fresh and amazing and I'm very keen to try their pho.
I'll definitely be back but aiming to get there no later than 12 - this place will have very long queues very quickly I think.
Queuing out the doors most days and with more stores popping up around Melbourne the rice paper roll, Banh Mi and Pho train is well and truly rolling! Offering Rice paper rolls with mouth watering lemongrass pork & prawn, soft shell crab & avocado, tofu or BBQ chicken you can just see a sea of people ordering and consuming these gorgeous treats!! Our lemongrass pork & prawn and soft shell crab & avocado were gorgeous! You can get traditional vietnamese noodle slads packed with vermichelli, veggies and a protein similar to the rice paper rolls. But is it the Banh Mi that I am craving! This Vietnamese fast food, lunch on the go, street food is a team up with the French influence of a crusty wonderful baguette with pate, roast pork, carrot, coriander and chilli etc. You can get the traditional roast pork or BBQ chicken or just salad without the good stuff!! I’ll be honest and quote my friend “It’s just a big carrot roll – the breads nice though” I wasn’t convinced we had pate in ours and
Update: It’s been a while since I reviewed this place and they have gotten better. Cheers.
Old review:
Wasn't all that impressed.
Used a Ritual App to order a couple Bao, chicken and pork.
I arrived just as the app had suggested that the order was finished and ready for pick up. No one call out my name, no one served me, it took another 5 mins for someone to acknowledge me. Finally when they did serve me, the food was sitting there waiting.
The food itself was a bit average. The buns tasted a little old and the filling wasn't amazing. Not sure I'll return. A lot of other Vietnamese restaurants, cheaper and better quality.
Possibly an unpopular opinion, but great tasting pho, properly hot and a pretty good tofu banh mi. Rolls could be crunchier and lighter, tofu would be much better served hot and meat could be slightly finer, but overall a good 4 stars from me as the tastes are all there and the quality was pretty high.
Best roll'd I've been to!! The first store where they made soldiers for me fresh, because the ones from the display were sold out.! And it was just before closing. Thank you ! so delicious.
Friendly service too.
