Called in here for a coffee. The service was nice and friendly.
My strong skinny latte was really good, there was some good milk froth and the coffee flavour was nice, earthy and it hints of malt.
All good and I’d definitely go back.

Grabbed a piccolo latte from here today. The service seemed indifferent, very much like my bitter coffee.
Very limited food menu, a few jaffles and slices etc.
Oh well, ill keep looking for more great coffee in the amazing city :) happy days haha
4.0 Very Good
Kinship & Co is wedged between various speciality coffee shops and also does various toasties named after Seinfeld characters and small bites. The space is small with limited seating, luckily for us as Christmas approaches the dining scene (at least in this corner of the CBD) has quietened down.
For coffee I get my standard latte, a delicious glass jelly taste (maybe I’ve been having too much bubble tea) and good froth. It was my first real coffee in awhile and they utilise Industry Bean coffee so you’re getting some quality beans.
For toastie I get their Newman, which pretty much is a hamburger but with white bread. The patty was quite tasty and on the lean side complimented with light pickle and mustard, melted cheese and ketchup. It’s a light meal so you might want to take that into consideration.
Neat little minimalistic coffee shop, we just wished they did a cold brew for the scorching heat!

Another one of those little coffee places that are hidden from the regular passerby. Located at the rear of 540 Little Collins Street found you've found it you'll never forget it. Each time I've come here there have been two people making coffee - just heating the milk and just making the coffee. Which = you'll be served quickly. The toasted sandwiches are good. I see mixed reviews for this place but my experience has been positive. It's another 'hole in the wall' coffee place but well worth a visit. Just wish the owner would check his ego at the door - never stops talking and bossing people around. Crankiness puts people off.
Friendly staff in a small classic Melbourne cafe. Ordered the Peterson Jaffle, for $9 it was pretty good. Size and flavour was adequate.
The atmosphere was pretty chill and it's cosy inside, the rainy weather probably made it feel even better.
Cute corner coffee shop in this laneway of cafes.Serving up Industry Beans coffee, my strong latte is lightly acidic and bitter but balanced by the full milk.Had it dine-in, but because the cafe is so small, you soak up the smell from the sandwhich grill, and also the acoustics make it difficult to talk, even with just the espresso machine going.Nevertheless, it has a certain charm and worth visiting if you're in the area.
Had the “Frank” jaffle and a strong cappucinno. The cappucinno had a good amount of coffee flavour with a little sweet note to it; it was not milky or watered down.
The “Frank” jaffle consisted of three types of cheese (if I remember correctly it was cheddar, mozzarella and brie) and truffle oil. The jaffle was toasted to a nice golden brown (probably with the help of some truffle oil) and there was so much cheese that it started leaking out of the jaffle. The jaffle was not dry at all; it was toasted to perfection with a satisfying crunch and the three cheese combination was so gooey and stretchy. The selection of cheese was on the milder side so it doesn’t have that very cheesy and pungent taste to it.
Overall it was a tasty and satisfying meal; the coffee was nice and strong as requested and the “Frank” jaffle was well executed; crunchy with that gooey and stretchy contrasting texture from the cheese. Maybe a few sprinkle of salt on it will make this a perfect cheese jaffle.
Such a great use of a tiny space! This place brings back childhood memories with its delicious jaffles! I never knew my favourite ingredients (baked beans and cheese) had a name. But it's called the Pudy - seems appropriate 😉
The staff are really friendly and food very tasty. There is space outside too for when they hit rush hour. This place seems like a local fav for cbd workers and there was always a number of people lined up for a coffee while we were there too.
Great food, good vibes, will definitely go back.
What is the deal with Kinship & Co?
Well for starters they make seriously good use of the small space they have with some excellent Seinfeld orientated décor to accompany some of the Seinfeld inspires jaffles.
The coffee competition down Gallagher lane is red hot and Kinship certainly seem to be punching above their weight. The service is fast as indicated by many others, and this does not seem to affect the quality of coffee. The brew is strong but not punch you in the face offensive. Smooth. The jaffle was delightful. Cheesy, plenty of ham. The egg within seemed a little minimalist, or perhaps it was all packed in on one side of the jaffle – but this is in no way a deal breaker.
The Dear Luncher likes the style of this place, if your office is in this particular vicinity, you’re very spoilt for choice.

Good coffe, quick service.
I absolutely loved the set up of Kinship & Co. The use of shoes, colour, light, paint and cartoon pieces really makes this place stand out. Very impressive.
I never get surprised when I see people queuing in front of the door. Kinship & co. is a tiny coffee hidden off king st -between Bourke and little Collin - a bit hard to discover if you just wonder around.
The coffee there is really good and the jaffles are tasty. They often have two baristas behind the coffee machine (one frothing the milk and one pouring it on the coffee) so the wait is never too long.
