I’m increasingly convinced that the best coffee in Melbourne is found in small coffee shops. Dropped by here otw to a meeting and was impressed!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Coffee verdict: Had a coffee and croissant here. Croissant tasted good, although it was a pity that I didn’t ask to warm it up a little. skinny flat white was smooth and delicious - enjoyed it despite drinking it on the go! Beans are roasted in Hobart. Will def try and purchase one home to aeropress in the future.

Had the ice coffee! $4 if not mistaken for a decent size. Not too sweet not too bitter. Was nice and refreshing :) my friend had the ice tea thingy, and it taste sweet and interesting. The place is pretty tight and small so me and my other 5 friends have to squeeze a bit haha. Overall good coffee and service as well!

It's a tight squeeze down the narrow coffee bar but we managed to snag a counter seat where we got to watch one of the staff members prepare some pour over coffee and tea.

My standard latte had good strength and we were also presented with a couple of shots of freshly brewed coffee, complimentary. They wanted to showcase their variety of coffee available and it was much appreciated. It wasn't my preference of coffee however as it was very bitter but I could definitely distinguish the fruity notes, a characteristic of natural coffee in which they specialise in.

Enjoyed my whole coffee experience and the staff are more than happy to answer your questions. They've also got nibbles but first and foremost they do coffee. Surprised it hasn't garnered that much attention (maybe location), doesn't bother me that counter seating is pretty nice!

Flying Forward

Only had a coffee here. I like the modern interior, it's bright with clean lines.
Strong latte had a good balance between milk and espresso. Wasn't too thin or bitter, and had a nice kick.
Waiting and seating area can be a little narrow but it's nice to have a bar seat.

First time having a cold brew in a wine glass. Was really good and smooth. They offer me a sip of their own ice tea which I almost order. Instead, I got one of their recommendation tea (lapsang) which the barista had really good knowledge. Surprising the tea only cost 5 dollars as I get a whole tea pot of it. Sited and study there for 2-3 hours and it wasn't too busy and lousy which suit me.

I work a short walk from here. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to getting a coffee in work hours but I walk to this place which says something !

Coffee is always really good, get it black though it's too good for milk people.

I haven't had the pastries but I have had a few bagels, $10.50 for a bagel and a coffee is pretty good in the city I reckon. Maybe a few extra light lunch options would let me come in more regularly.

I think this is my new favorite for coffee. The batch brew is really mellow and flavorful, the shop is very cute and has an excellent selection of pastries, sweets, bagels and baguettes, and the staff are very friendly. 💖

Gold Drops is my go-to Melbourne coffee spot for many reasons, but mainly because of the friendly service which is something I struggled to find at other coffee shops in the CBD. The service is only second to the amazing coffee that is served there :) An impeccable store fit-out completes the package. Well done guys!

Changsu Siris Woo

One of more unique cafes in CBD. They serve good selection of Natural processed beans and also have some of the greatest specialty coffee. If you are only in need of your daily caffeine, I recommend this place.

Cute little cafe with relaxed vibe. I had a cold brew with Ethiopian beans - great refreshing floral and cherry note for summer. Latte was good too. The milk foam was soft and silky.

I visited Gold Drop cafe on their 10th day. Great tasting coffee. Aroma, flavour and temperate all are balanced. The decor is vibrant and staff are friendly. Cafe manager was pleased to provide details of coffee beans they use and their source. There is a separate seating area inside, which can be used for meetings.

Delicious coffee (even though one of my lattes tasted burnt, the rest were fine) and nice staff. Not a big selection of pastries, but what they had was delicious. Service was fast and the coffee shop's decor was tasteful and modern. Tons of coffee shops in the CBD but this one was one of the more attractive design-wise. Give it a try!
