Excellent service, friendly and accomodating staff. Open this covid, as others are close or fully booked. Cozy ambience. Mellow music. Reasonable price. Good taste. Staff also explains the dish which is good.
Amazing location. The atmosphere was so pleasant. We had the Wagyu short rib with combination veg. And it was amazing!!! Such a wonderful experience!!!
I haven't been to a Shinbashi Yakiniku since September 2018 so I was really excited to taste test their special Valentines Day menu. The night started with some Japanese Sake upstairs at this restaurant and this restaurant takes sake to a whole new level. They have premium sake tasting, with 2 bottles of Sale only available at this restaurant in Australia. I like sake and they was a premium product. We also tried some sake cocktails such as matcha, which was soo yummy hahaha! And a range of other sake based cocktails, one with lychee which was great and another cocktail w boba balls similar to a bubble tea, which was delicious. One my my favourite sake drinks was the Sake Shiroi Litchi which was like drinking lychee milk. I could have drank this all night lol. Then we headed downstairs to try the Valentines Day menu. We started w some light Japanese salad and some edamame both of which were a great start. The assorted sashimi was magical, the fish so fresh it was almost jumping off the plate lol. The was soo good. Then the meat came out to grill, and this was very special. We started w Kagoshima A5 Blade, which just melted in my mouth when I ate it. And then we had the Australian Wagyu Deluxe Trio of Wagyu Short Rib, Wagyu Oyster Blade Premium, and Wagyu Marbled Beef. This was exceptional quality Wagyu Beef and the flavours of the meat and the juiciness, well it was really at another level. It was just perfect. Then we tried the pork belly and the pork jowl, both of which were superb. The quality of the meat was fantastic with all the pork juicy and tender. The Japanese scallops were light, bursting with flavour and a more delicate flavour to other scallops I've tried which I really enjoyed. Yummo! The jumbo ocean prawns were man size haha, and probably some of the biggest prawns I've seen. The meat was soo soft and it tasted like it was just plucked from the ocean, and just delicious. We had some boiled rice which was good and to finish we had some Japanese desserts of matcha cake and black sesame ice cream. Overall this was a memorable experience and probably one of my highlights for some time. I tried a matcha beer again which is amazing, it's almost like a matcha latte, but much more enjoyable haha! If you are looking for a special occasion to spoil someone on Valentines Day, to try this special menu, then this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. You can also have a pre dinner sake based drink, in a seperate bar upstairs at this restaurant too. My partner and I were extremely grateful for the opportunity to visit as an invitation, and I am honoured to be able to recommend this place as a perfect restaurant to visit on Valentines Day, or any day really lol.
